    @aetank_yyteawu3436

    The problem he has atm is he doesn’t have an identity as a manager, which is normal given his experience. Lampard got too much fire power too quick and without having a set style of play, it’s hard to find your best XI and how to set up. Lampard has not improved and he has still yet find a style of play. The players form constantly dropped because they were clueless in what they were doing. His start to his career at Chelsea was gun ho and after a while he noticed it was too much as he conceded a lot. After COVID he tried a more possessive style but was still conceding. The new season with the massive amount of new players just made it even more difficult to find his style of play. Playing players out of their respective positions, too conservative, and usually panicking all brought trouble. Not one analyst knew what tactics he was doing as all they did was hold possession in the backline with no real threat going forward. I think with more time he could go on to be a good manager, but this team needs someone sound with confidence in their style of play. You can’t grow young players when you don’t know what you are doing. As for Arteta, he is set in a possession based style but still lacks that quality; but he has a set style. Ole while being the simple manager he is, knows his best team and is confident with his counter attack. Having Bruno makes it easier as United know what to do and play off of him. Klopp came in as a top manager and with his set play. He slowly got his players and build a top team. Lampard didn’t have a set style and still doesn’t know his best team. This creates confusion with the players, the dipped results, and poor form. He got too many good young talent, but is lost. He wasn’t ready to get all these players as he was still finding his way as a manager. Now looking at it, he should’ve stayed at Derby. His inexperience has made him a bit stubborn which is normal, but hopefully time and more experience will turn him around

    I agree he needed more time to build his squad. Problem was he had too much of a gung-ho approach in the transfer market and decided to overspend on players who couldn't fit into the squad. Arteta being possession based style? you watch any arsenal games the last 20 years, thats not artetas style, thats arsenal style of play - also Franks chelsea had a style and his tactics were not bad, he just had under performing players, that plus a goalie issue that was not addressed earlier because chelsea wanted to play kepa until they could sell him for "top dollar" as the saying goes.. blaming the manager when the manager dont get time to really build a foundation is like blaming god that it is raining every once in while... summer and better days are coming, it just take time sometimes. just look at klopp. wenger, sir alex ... the list goes on and on.

    There's a big difference between giving manager's who have already got 10+ year's of experience time to build a team and giving time to someone who's basically learning on the job. Lampard needed to show improvement in his own ability compared to last season to give confidence he can get Chelsea's big summer signings to gell as a team. Klopp, Pep, Roger's, Mourinho and (to a lesser extent & at a lower level of football) Ole have already shown in their previous job's that they can build a team if given time - with Lampard and Arteta it's a leap of faith to think they can do the same. Klopp took 4 year's to win the title but every year he improved the team's league position and reached 4 Cup Finals (including 2 Champions League finals - winning one) along the way - it wasn't like he served up 4 year's of mid-table football then suddenly Champions - there's a reason he kept his job, same with Ole in the summer, he got Utd back in the Champions League with a late run in the league and earned another year. Chelsea were getting worse under Lampard, outspent the team's above them in the summer, and Lampard didn't look like he knew how to integrate the new signings into his team - it's not simply a case that giving managers more time = success.

    I think the difference between ole and frank is that ole has mike phelan, an experienced first team coach, as his right hand man, whereas frank has Jody who has about the same amount of experience as Frank. Frank needed a cool, experienced head around him to help him progress but unfortunately without that he did look a bit lost

  • @delmanpronto9374

    @@franco4964 the difference is that united has a formula entirely different from chelsea. chelsea always changed managers, changed philosophies. that was their thing. sacking a manager is part of their DNA. united tried to follow it and suffered. they brought in ole, and surrounded him with united alumni. at the end of the day, ole just doggedly followed a blueprint left behind by sir alex. he doesn't have the charisma and flair, but he bloody well knows what makes a top side in the premier league. i am so happy for him. i knew he was in for the long haul after the PSG thriller, and after they stood their ground against liverpool in a 1-1 draw (after a horrendous run of games), and nearly knocked klopp's cap off.
