God Yahweh loves, and offers Salvation Only by Faith in Christ Jesus, because we sin and deserve hell, but God who is Great in Mercy sent His Son Christ to Save us, he became man and lived among men, but without sin, and suffered the punishment of our sins, was filled with the Holy Spirit, gave his Life for ours, and was raised from the dead by the Power of the Holy Spirit, by Order of his Father, paying with his death for our wickedness, giving us Salvation only by Faith, not by works so that no one can boast. As a Bolton fan, I can remember just 2 years ago watching a Sky Sports Countdown of our beloved club going out of existence. Fortunately, we were saved on the last minute, but unfortunately for Bury they didn't share the same fate. All I can say to Derby fans is im so sorry you're having to endire the same pain, we are with you, football is with you, continue to support like you will do and pray that there will be a positive outcome from all this, I believe that you can

Fortunately we were saved by the wonderful Sharon Brittain and a consortium of good true people. I had a thought the other day. I feel like the state of football at any particular time reflects the state of the world. More and more we see the problems caused when a minority can play by their own rules, to their own benefit and face zero consequences for how they impact the majority. Derby fans are powerless. All of football has sympathy for them, except for the few that could actually do something about it and help.

Bottom line, Mel Morris might very well have killed Derby County. I really hope not, and I am still hopeful that we will survive, but I also understand that we may very well be a sinking ship, and that there is nothing that Rooney, the players, or the fans can do about it. Rooney didn't even find out about Derby going into administration from the owner himself. Forget what Rooney has done at United or England, forgot that he is a household name, forget all of that, he is the manager of your Football team, and you clearly don't care in the slightest, because you couldn't even be bothered to inform him of the situation. Despite all that, he stayed and has done a fine job in keeping safely hopes alive. Ultimately, the club is affected, but so is the manager, so are the players, so are the staff, so are local businesses and even the little match day food trucks, all because of the sheer incompetency of the owner.

Two important and significant outstanding questions. First was there actually any rules made by the EFL that prevented Derby using the accountancy model they did? Secondly as a company they would have to get their accounts signed off for company house. Therefore their accountants would have known exactly what Derby were doing and why? Without looking it up was the practice actually illegal and breaking any accountancy practices? Did Derby actually do anything wrong, cos surely their owners would have known the consequences or their accountants would have advised them since they have legal obligations to HMRC etc, something not right here. Did their accountants actually sign off their accounts during this period?

Finances, supporters and good man management with players are the foundation for the success they’ve had considering the relatively small catchment area of support. I think a big part of that falls on the EFL, but ultimately Wycombe are a club trying to grow and have been cost a massive amount of progress and income because Derby cheated and then managed to hold off on the punishment. Football is a family, what a load of muck. Tell that to the super rich clubs/owners in the country. Tell that to Derby fc/owner who cheated the system, do you think they really care for "the family"

Yes Derby care for the football family otherwise they would have sued QPR who beat them in the 2014 play off final and were later found guilty of breaching FFP that season and fined £17 million. Derby didn't get a penny of that and lost out on upwards of £60 million premier league income.

completely agree with gary. cities, towns and fans of the clubs should own their clubs. and buyers should only be allowed to run them as custodial holders of the licence to that club. this allows them to make money, but also stops them syphoning assets.

How about sharing the wealth, when premier league clubs can pay their squads weekly wages that would fund a whole year of most championship club's wages something is fundamentally wrong. Gone are the days of the 3 promoted teams from the championship had a chance of staying up, 2 almost certainly drop back down. The financial gap between divisions is scandalous. With club's gambling their sheer future existence, for a run for a promotion and 3 years of parachute payments is horrible. Institutions are going by the wayside in the meantime. Next TV contract insist on all divisions having a number of games shown. Most fans would watch a park game if it was on, it would improve the game, national team and save club's that generation after generation has watched!!!

Oh give over Derby cheated Boro out of the play offs? Was this the same Middlesbrough that went on a 7 game losing run that season? Do you see Bristol City suing Derby? Given had they not lost 2-0 to Derby on the penultimate game of the season, they would have taken the place instead (their goal difference was far better than Middlesbroughs)? If anything, the EFL should be taking action on Middlesbrough for putting in the most disgraceful performance that the Championship play offs have ever seen against Aston Villa mastering 1 single effort on target. What a joke! The relegated clubs would have given Villa more of a game - they were a complete insult to the championship playoffs and deserve being relegated for it. Oh and cheating Wycombe out of the league, was this the same Derby (and Rotherham) that had numerous chances to relegate Wycombe and Sheffield Wednesday that season but didn't take it. How come Sheffield Wednesday aren't taking legal action given Derby would have been down before they played, potentially giving Wednesday a better chance to survive with a win.

Gary is 100% correct.I'm a Liverpool fan but I feel for such a great club as Derby County and I'm old enough to remember the days of Brian Clough and the Club at that time. The whole running of football in the UK is terrible and those in charge never seem to quite grasp the importance of a club to its fans and the local community.
