Dedicated this song to my husband for our first dance as husband and wife. I would have (and sometimes felt as I had) gone to the ends of the earth for him, for almost 19 yrs and would do it all again! Tragically and traumatically, a month ago today, I came home and found him passed away from a heart attack. My life will never be the same and my heart forever broken! I love you baby forever and I hope I can still make you feel my love! xoxoxo

Mate, I'm an unabashed Dylan fan, he has been writing classics since the early 60's. He wrote what I consider one of the greatest love songs in "Sara", but you'll be hard pressed to find a better written song than 'To Make You Feel My Love'.

This was me and my late husband's wedding song, and every phrase matched us to a T, we were married for 16 wonderful years, i nursed him as he lingered in and out of the hospital of heart disease, diabities, and a amputation to his left leg, while taking care of him i also was raising our beautiful daughter (His dream come true), we lost "Paul" 2/26/2015, He had his dream only till she was near 14. and then...it was his time, he is so sadly missed, and i know i will see him again.😥😥

Paul, two friends of mine are married to each other. He lost his first wife to cancer, also. He still loves her, misses her and even still mourns her, but his new wife is very understanding. She knows he loves her also. She knows his devotion is toward her now. She loves him and he loves her and they have a wonderful life together. My point is, to find love again isn't to deny your love to your wife, it is to acknowledge the need to keep living while you are still here.

This is the version of the song to listen to if you really want to just appreciate the song as a work of art. Bob Dylan’s own version is intense and almost too raw: when he sings it it’s obvious the situation is hopeless, he’s not going to get the girl, but he’s going to sing to her anyway because his love for her is all he’s got. It’s the version you listen to at 3 am while nursing a broken heart. Billy Joel turns the song into an epic; it’s the version you dance to at a wedding, because it tells the story of all the risks you took on your way to winning your true love. Adele’s version combines a bit of all three approaches and has proven to be the most popular, which is understandable. All four versions are great but at the end of the day I will pick Garth’s version as the best because he gets out of the way of the song (in a way even Dylan himself couldn’t do) and lets it speak for itself, not as drama, but as pure poetry.

Lyric: When the rain is blowing in your face, and the whole world is on your case, I could offer you a warm embrace to make you feel my love. When the evening shadows and the stars appear, and there is no one there to dry your tears, I could hold you for a million years to make you feel my love. I know you haven't made your mind up yet, but I would never do you wrong. I've known it from the moment that we met, no doubt in my mind where you belong. I'd go hungry; I'd go black and blue, I'd go crawling down the avenue. No, there's nothing that I wouldn't do to make you feel my love. The storms are raging on the rolling sea and on the highway of regret. Though winds of change are throwing wild and free, you ain't seen nothing like me yet. I could make you happy, make your dreams come true. Nothing that I wouldn't do. Go to the ends of the Earth for you, to make you feel my love

No Frills. No fancy stuff. Just up close and personal. Garth Brooks pays 'Bob Dylan' the biggest respect by singing his song like this. Because he loads every single breathe with a genuine humanity and incredible feeling in the music that 'Bob' wrote. Absolutely beautiful interpretation. (love the way that he kept it simple and gave it everything.so moving)

Well have to admit. Not s huge Garth guy. I also know he is an awesome preformer and a dang good vocalist. But Im an old rocker VH, Led Zeppelin, ect. I have always like a lot of his work but I got my fill of Friends in Low Places, ect. But I came across this today actually by accident, I play music and stay pretty busy and was looking to add a couple old Dylan songs to a set. Wow old Garth put his stamp on this one and his guitar playing is spot on and it just made the his version even more powerful and absolutely flawless. I wish I could hear him pull out a few more unplugged covers. I'm a fan now!!!!

Super. Best of all of my Rock concerts next to ZZTop. I enjoy Garth Brooks. "Last Dance" from him will be played at my funeral which will be in the near future. Life goes quick. Enjoy everyday. Take care and all the best to you.

This is virtually the first time I've heard Garth cover this song. I'm not the greatest country music fan. Some songs I like, some I love, most I could take a hard pass on, but this is superb! His interpretation on guitar coupled with his voice makes him the perfect artist to cover such an emotional song. It's my loss that I lost twenty years of being able to listen to Garth sing it. Came back to listen to this again two years later in Jan. 2022. With deepest respect to all the great covers by the best singers who have done this song, this is by far my favorite rendition.

Beautiful! My husband passed July 19/21, last year. I listen to this amazing song and imagine he’s singing this for me.

I think this is the very best version of this song written by Bob Dylan that I have ever heard. Sung with such meaning in his voice. I sing this song to my wife of 51 years and mean every word. Garth I believe sung it to that audience that attended that concert on the night and also meant every word. Respect.

Garth Brooks brought me back to country music. I was brought up on it, Johnny Cash live was my first album! At the time this song came out, I was a nanny for a friend of mine. Garth had a show in Pittsburgh, I wanted to go so bad, but my friend and her then husband also wanted to go. So I got left babysitting their kids and got a sweatshirt. Quit not long after.
