Oh man. THAT was an unexpected surprise. I'm roaming around, looking for a quick video to watch before I get back to my chores, and I see this. "Oh cool! I can do this AND the dishes." Yeah, no. HAD to sit down and watch it-watch it. The dishes started to complain and I told them to shut up or I'd replace them. (Works every time.) THANKS, Daniel, for having this and posting it. It always feels good to laugh.

One of the greats... he had such a funny mind, and a unique delivery. Johnny Carson once said truly funny people are naturals... born that way... with the ability to see the humor in things and communicate that perspective to others. That was Gary Shandling. R.I.P.

Growing up, watching plenty of network TV, I developed an affinity for standup comedy performers (The Standup Golden Age: Woody Allen, Rich Pryor, G. Carlin, David Brenner, Joan Rivers, David Steinberg, Robert Klien, Henny Youngman, Dangerfield, Dick Shawn,, Bill Hicks, , . Gary came along and moved in immediately to the top of my list of favorites and stayed there until his untimely, way too soon demise. I watched and laughed EVERY time this man performed on TV. Always fresh material. He could do NO wrong. Larry Sanders was as original and classic as Curb Your Enthusiasm. Miss you Gary!

He is hilarious, but at the same time you can tell he's just the nicest guy. --And that's exactly what people like Conan O'Brien, Leno, Letterman, etc all say about him. Do a search of Conan O'Brien talking about his friendship with Gary. Rest in peace, Mr. Shandling, you left way too soon.
