As a father of 3, Garp is probably my favorite character in the series tied with Zoro. Kids should be taught tough lessons every now and then, or life will teach them instead and may not be so forgiving, but they should also always know that they're loved for any real meaningful growth to take place.

I just hope Oda doesn't forget Bogard. I've unironically wanted to see him do something cool for so long.

power scaling doesnt matter in one piece, all top tiers are basically equal atp and any fight could go either way

With your idea of blackbeard being the black hole to destroy them the choice of Galaxy impact becomes interesting, at the center of the galaxy sits a supermassive black hole, also with Garp being almost the perfect counter too blackbeard no devil fruit to erase it seems like he will have to pull out every trick in the book to defeat him.

i think the book is right in front of us too. i gotta get this blackbeard crew video out asap haha cuz i think it makes it ends up making alot of sense. i didnt mention it in this video. but i think garp is blackeard's kaido. meaning luffy cant solo him, but his squad helped. and so after this fight blackbeard elevates to the insane level

no doubt about it this is one of your most coherent theories so far, i'm only 18 minutes in and i'm thinking about how easy it was to miss this detail when it was surrounded by the theme of family in Marineford, and now with what we see Garp doing paralleling what Whitebeard was doing for family at Marineford, Garp's story just hits different now, brought me to tears ngl. keep it up my friend!

I actually always love this kind of analysis. Prediction theory maybe crazy or mindblowing, but I think small details and understanding about characters is what makes One Piece narative most amazing.

I just love how much garp cares about people and treats them family like he did with ace and koby garp is amazing even though him and roger were rivals he put that aside and took care of rogers son

You bring so much more meaning and light to what Koby did at Marineford, which directly connects with him standing in front of that cannon way back.

Knowing what is probably going to happen to this proud, steadfast, and pillar of a man in this story just makes this intro hit so hard. It's surreal to see all of these threads beginning to connect.

I noted something yesterday, just wanted to bring it to your attention. The Sabo/Ace/Luffy grey terminal flashback....Luffy says he REALLY wants a telescope when they go trash hunting after the destruction of their first hideout. Sabo finds one, but it gets crushed when his dad comes and takes him away (ruins his dream). A couple of episodes later, the strawhats post-timeskip are descending down to Fishman island, and friggin Brook has a telescope. I feel like we haven't seen one very often, like I remember Zoro just always sees islands with just his eyes, but it made me think that Brook's dream re Laboon is the glue that holds everyone else's dreams together. I mean, the discussion on Thriller Bark when Franky says "Laboon", and OG characters go "no effing way", it's absolutely nuts how perfect of a fit that Brook HAS to join the crew. All of these discussions about others joining the crew, none of them really fit in the same way that Brook or Jinbe did.

Yoo amazing analysis for an awesome character! Although we’ve seen Garp throughout the story more than Shanks, Oda has still shown us only little bit of him throughout the story and with the new developments on Fullalead I cant wait to see what Oda has in store for Garp’s character, especially getting to see more insight into his past and what happened at God Valley. Its also really telling how Roger could tell what type of man Garp was and knew that he would raise his son for him

@@Parvision- Maybe it’s just because White Beard had to train his in an environment where he was constantly attacked in his sleep (for example, Rox’s crew) while Garp never had to worry about it in the Navy. One got the training from life or death situations, the other was never afforded the opportunity.

I WANTED TO INCLUDE THIS. but youd be surprised. ill leak it here. a future shorter video is gonna go over a few pun/play on words i think oda used to make one piece. and FAMILY is one of them. hopefully no one sees this. sooooooo Pirate in Japanese is KAIZOKU right? what happens if you take the "i" out of kaizoku? you get Kazoku, if you know what that means. then LOL hahaha it means FAMILY! so the is the difference between a family and pirate just who you care about? So if luffy wants to be the Kaizoku King. Then Garp pushing Kazoku justice hahaha i didnt want to include this in this video BECAUSE it applies to more than garp. I’ve always had the thought that love is closely connected to haki as well. It never made sense that ace (as a child) and nami have always been able to hurt Luffy’s body

Pride comes from a different source for everyone. Example between Shanks' vs Doflamingo's senses of pride.

Garp is the human to strive to be like. Mostly law-abiding but still free-spirited and ready to take action against lawmakers if they don't serve people anymore. He's the definition of "Freedom shouldn't mean freedom doing everything you want but freedom to do what is right.". I love Luffy as a character in a fantasy story but in real life I'd follow Garp.

Luffy follows the same thing as garp ,the difference is that he is a pirate,and in that aspect he has more freedom to do what ever he deems to be right.luffy goes to unimaginable lengths for the people he loves and cares.and for being someone to be loved and cared about by luffy isn't complicated at all. All one needs to do is be a good person.he went to defeat doflamingo with the reason being he cared for rebecca.he considers her as his friend. For luffy there is no difference between friends and family. Same thing happened with vivi too. Enies lobby, Marineford and Impel down are the epitome of love luffy has for what he considers his family,he lost about 20 years of his lifespan at impeldown and Marineford, without giving it a second thought.he deems his friends and family higher than even his dreams and ambitions. At Marineford,he wouldn't let crocodile to harm whitebeard (this was hilarious even to think😂) just because his brother ace loves that old man. I would say luffy has inherited Garp's sense of justice even more than koby ,who is supposed to be garp's favourite pupil. To futher enforce my opinion, remember what were the first words luffy told nami just after he defeated arlong"Nami ,you are one of us" or "Nami,you are my friend"

Personally, I would prefer if BB took Garp prisoner and used him in a way similar to the way he used Ace only by doing this not only would he garner the rage of the navy and cause them to act, but It would also give Luffy a reason to pursue BB. Additionally, it would be the perfect way to set up the BB vs Shanks bout that we've all been waiting for. but Him killing Garp seems like the more likely route Oda will take.

After watching this, Why do I get the feeling that garp will be whitebeard 2.0? I don't think it will happen now in this arc but garp is kind of one of the last old guard, "good guys" helping to keep the balance. Either he or shanks will need to be taken out for the final war to commence.... maybe both. 😢

He won't need to. Everyone thinks Shanks is evil, but the clues are right there for Dragon being evil. Well actually if you go back and see the sword team actually forced the pirates to the center .. they weren’t in harms what hence prince grouse saying “everyone is in place and koby is safe too” all the moving I’ve the buildings and the golem’s trapped the majority pirates in one place and garp just took them all out them .. and probably island boy knocked out island boy too .. I actually think that was him screaming on the bottom panel
