    Upgraded from S60 to the S62, the virtual caddy really does help, the pulse oximeter is helpful addition too in this COVID pandemic

    I love the touch screen since 620 model. I miss that function now. Its seem that only performance garmin watch that have it is s60 and s62. Im in running and fitness area and i need a new watch to replace my thrusty 620.i dont play golf but i like touchscreen. Can i use this watch ?

    I was hoping for some specifics on ' how to ' use the S62. Good job with the highlights but this lacks any explanation....

    I bought the S62 a month ago in the US and used it for a few rounds there. The golf features were working fine for most of my rounds, except one where I felt some lag on feedback. Since then I have left the US and come back home and after a few more rounds the heart rate monitor has stopped working, the pedometer has stopped working and the GPS doesn't work most of the time. And to top it all off the biggest bummer is that the distance measuring feature while playing a round has also stopped functioning. Since I'm not in the US Garmin has told me they can't service me in the US, but one of their reps was kind enough to get me in touch with one of their offices in Taipei to see if they can fix it or replace it. But for a premium (read expensive) golf watch there have been way too many issues. I hope to either have this watch fixed or replaced once it is sent to Garmin in Taipei. Will post updates once I get it back.

    Just got my S62 a week ago and can honestly say its the best golf watch Ive ever owned by a lot! It’s also stylish as heck and I can change watch faces if I get bored with what I have. So many easy to use options around the golf course, but one of my personal favorites that I don’t hear much about is being able to get layup yardage to 100 yards. This is clutch for my game in that I/m usually just guessing how much club I need to get me to 100 yards because I’m pretty accurate with my sand wedge from that distance. Saved me a couple strokes my last round and just gave me much more confidence overall. Will also mention that I had a couple questions for Garmin support and was surprised that a human actually picked up the phone and was able to succinctly answer all my questions on the phone. Unheard of these days and greatly appreciated!

    The problem with the virtual caddy is that if the shot was a shank, the watch will count this as a legit shot and therefore alter the average distance of that club. Can the watch record that the shot was a miss hit?

    Hey GRT, I got the S40 for Christmas for my first "smart watch". I love it so much, but I can't get all the widgets from the IQ app that I want. I'm considering the S62 as an upgrade. Does the s62 compare to the fenix 6x pro for gps and widget compatibility?

    in the golf section how do you change from yards to metres ive look at the manual garmin website support nothing i have the approach S60

    Thank you for your question. There are 2 components you can check. In the Garmin Golf App, go to Settings > Units of Measure > and Golf Distance Units. On your Approach S60, go to Settings > System > Units > Distance (set to Yards or Meters).     Quick Question. If your approach shot lands on the green how does the watch track the distance since your next shot will be a putt?

    Thank you for your question. in that instance, it would place the ball at the center of the green, since auto shot doesn't pick up putts. With that said, if you are using the optional CT10's, it would use that information instead. I hope this helps.

    Hello. Great. I currently have been great success using my Vivoactive 3 for Golf play. I purchased the Vivoactive 3 some years ago 4 daily runs and biking. But, now it’s time 2 upgrade ! My question is….. I can clearly see the advantages of the S62 4 golf experiences ! But, will I still be able to use the S62 to monitor my other activities? Like running, walking and biking ? Or should I be considering the Venu or Fenx 6 ? I’ve been waiting 4 a new Vivoactive product, but perhaps the Venu has replaced it ? Thanks

    Thank you for your question. While the Approach S62 has other activity profiles such as running, cycling, and swimming, the information you will receive for those activities is basic. For more advanced information such and Garmin Coach and training plans for your other activities, you would want to consider a device like the fenix.

    @@GarminRetailTraining Thank. That’s a big help. I now am more comfortable with purchasing the S62. For all my other activities the basics will B perfect. The S62 seems 2 have more features than my current Vivoactive and will allow 4 better enjoyment during my golf game. Thanks again!

    I'm getting this watch this month, my question is, if I'll also buy the CT10 how will that work with the watch? I know that I won't need to confirm what club I chose because it will detect it automatically, but if I go with the 3 set, and only use it on putter & wedges I should still be fine right? Irons and woods are tracked quite good, it's only the short game that's hard to track

    Thank you for your question. Seems like you've done your research. You are correct. With the CT10's, stats for each club that you have a sensor installed will show you on your compatible Garmin golf watch after pulling the club from the bag. As well, they are especially helpful for tracking putts and chip shots.

    @@GarminRetailTraining thank you for the really quick reply, I don't want to purchase the whole set because as I said irons and woods are ok, I currently have the old Approach S20 which can detect on impact, my dad also has S62 and I know that also detects on impact, so last question, with the CT10's, will it also detect the impact of a putter? I know that light chip shots are also hard to track so I'm also guessing the CT10's will help there as well, thank you

    @@Ra188 Yes, the CT10's will detect putts. Here is a link to some tips when using the sensors. Take special note that when a sensor is assigned to a putter, it is designed to be more sensitive so it can accurately detect your putts...........www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/approachct10/EN-US/GUID-3912A9F1-29EE-4153-9B47-F861462A9464.html.     I may be missing something but I have played plenty of rounds with my CT sensors but I am not getting any information or stats. After each round I chose end round and I chose not to keep score so am I missing something. Help😢

    Premium? It looks cheap plastic but at nearly £500 it’s not cheap.
