I just buy the GBD about 3 weeks ago and before I have the apple watch; in my opinion i'm very satisfied with the casio, the gps running very good, the heart rate also, swimming... the night mode...; the truth is a very competitive watch. The battery support 1 week training 2h per day. I'm going to put the apple watch to sell. I bought the casio vs the garmin for the design and casio seems more durable to me. All the best!

It is big but doesn't wear that big, as it's not bigger than most g-shocks out there! But if you want better tracking, better support and community, go with the instinct 2.

What I like about the Casio despite of it's flaws is that it is what it is, no fancy gadget or screen, just plain information. I would've loved it to have at least the breadcrumbs features of the GPR1000 BUT it's still a rugged, long lasting watch. With both the DWH5600 and GBDH2000, the sleep tracker took more than the "2 nights" threshold to start tracking too. And between Garmin and Suunto "flashlight" (Excluding the ones with actual LED light)…the Suunto wins. Way brighter. I'm actually looking into getting an older Suunto Traverse Alpha. I found not to be using the heart rate sensor as much as I thought.

That being said, let's say you use the Casio for step counts, sleep tracking, heart rate readings and not the GPS functionality, then I'd go Casio for the simple fact that it's slightly cheaper. I also grew tired of all the options available for customization on Garmin's end which...they won't tell you but the more options you have on the screen, the more battery it consume. That, Casio is far ahead. It's a no BS, get the jog done type of watch.
