Thank you for a great tutorial! Just one comment on the widgets feature: you can make them appear one per screen (disable "at glance" feature in settings - widgets). So, it is not that Fenix 6 has 3 widgets per screen versus Garmin Forerunner has one. This feature is customizable on Fenix models as well.

got my Fenix 6x pro, couldn't love it more. It's a great device. The only downside is the sleep tracker, it simply doesn't work. From an engineering perspective, I can tell that Garmin can do a lot more to make the sleep-related functions reliable enough so we can all enjoy it. So far they haven't done so.

Watching this again. Amazing watch. No way can my Rolex leave the left wrist but I love this so much I'm now double wristing with this on the right. I will do a little video on this watch myself sometime soon. I had an ambit 3 before but only wore for camping. I figured how to upload a route to it using only phone but need WiFi connection or data as I send route from phone mapping software to email then to garmin connect.

It would be nice to hear from you back on that how that Dlc coating ist doing over a longer period. The titanium bezel from Fenix 5 plus was very very scratch sensitive

I work at a bike shop and I can get the civilian models for about 30% off but I really want the tactix because it looks cool even tho it’s the same watch and I’ll never use the tactical features.

It will do it's best to recognize what you're doing but it can be wrong. This is expected when there is only one sensor on your wrist and dozen of activities to choose from. That's why it's best to manually start activities.

Thanks for the over view! Can you help with following. How do I check to see what would be my estimated time for a 5k, 10k or marathons not that I’d run another one hah. Lastly, once while running on the track I would turn my wrist and it would read my HR also the actual time as I ran the mile. I can’t seem to get it anymore ugh. Thanks in advance!!

Garmin, probably the best smartwatch on the market. Garmin connect app works really good and accurate. Prices are very reasonable also.

hi just a query , when i press start, mine only shows Navigate, Expedition , Track me, map but not Activities like Hiking, Trail, Trail runs, bike and etc.

How do you enter where to turn on off altimeter compass back-light etc at 30 minute mark

Do you review the hike feature? Anyway i can see your watch backlight is not black.. is like a bluish colour? Correct me if im wrong.. thanks

The pins that hold the bands on look like regular watch pins now instead of the solid post that were on the earlier models. Hopefully they hold up as well as the post did as pins have a tendency to bend.

I had the same dilemma when I bought the 6x Pro. I knew that I wouldn't be using half the features but when I looked at the lesser model I saw that they didn't offer the features that I did want.

How to know how much distance has been covered while walking and while in vehicle in this watch??

I just ordered this watch and am waiting to receive it, but I am reading on the forums that many people have had different experiences with the watch, particularly with the saturation of the black colors in back light mode - while some are they way are supposed to be in terms of being dark and rich colors, others of the exact same model are experiencing kind of a washed out, "blue'ish" type haze on theirs. Is that something you noticed with your watch? I'm a little worried I might get one of the washed out ones if they haven't fixed the problem by now

I’ve only had mine two days.Fenix 6 Sapphire. Connected immediately to my iPhone XR with no problem. I always update to the latest iOS. Garmin connect works seamlessly. When I make adjustments on the app the changes are made within about a second on the watch. Notifications come through very reliably. No experience with other devices/ straps etc., yet.

I have a Fenix 6 Solar and it’s acting weird. Inside the pool it gets disconnected from my phone from a very close distance. My heart rate doesn’t change much and the worst thing, I was swimming and suddenly the MOVE alert appeared. What can I do?

Have the same watch, the watch band is 26mm not 22mm, I needed a different watch band because the silicone band irritated my skin. Love the watch.

Gauging Gadgets yes, it is the 6x sapphire.

This is super frustrating. I try to change the watch face and when you press the menu button it displays watch faces. When I press the menu button I get "Clock", below Military etc no where is "watch faces" visible.

Where do I find the Serial Number?

I love it. But it's all overwhelming for an old guy like me.

I'd really like to see an idiots guide for how to use this thing practically instead of just scrolling through endless menus. I don't get anything out of that. It's mind numbing. How do I walk? How do I hike? How do the maps work when doing this so I can easily use this watch? What are features of those particular activities that I should know about? I wish there a was really good professional class on this or something. Reading the manual just isn't good enough. I have enjoyed most of the video but have yet to see one like this anywhere.

I am not receiving call notifications. Could somebody advise how I activate this?

Does Fenix 6 have respiratory all day and sleep like Vivoactive 4? On comparison chart it does not listed but show up on features bulletin.

I feel like these aren’t really competitors to Apple Watch. These are rugged outdoor lifestyle devices. These are not primarily communication devices as I feel Apple watches/ smart watches are. Battery life is drastically better with the Garmin but your not going to call, text or have a “phone like” amoled or equivalent screen. These screens are made to be viewed out doors. Coming from a series 3 Apple Watch there’s no comparison for the needs I have. Garmin all the way.

Your watch is on 99% but says only 4 days battery life, how so? 🤔

More than half of the Fenix 6 line production has a defective screen with a washed out bluish low contrast screen. That includes the Sapphire. The only one worth getting is the Delta Tactix.

@@jaidemmon3745 I did, and although it was not as extreme as you said with half being defect, it was still a problem that was not uncommon.. But I'll take my chances, I ordered a 6X sapphire, I'll get it next week and hopefully it's one of the good ones:)

If your resting heart rate is above 100 bpm it will trigger the warning. It might be a bad reading as well

Can you form a sentence? You're on the wrong place if you are looking for a review on an Apple watch.

I bought this watch and really felt disappointed. It has unpleasant and depressing screens, everything is gray and hazy… discover all aspects before buying…..!!

I understand the shock if you didn't know about the display before you got it. This display is an always on display and designed to be seen in direct sunlight without a backlight. This results in much longer battery life than other watches.
