LIVE VIEW
Use the Garmin Drive app on your compatible smartphone to access the camera remotely for Live View monitoring from anywhere when you’re away from your parked car. PARKING GUARD
This feature monitors activity around your parked vehicle and automatically alerts you with video clip notifications to the Garmin Drive app on your compatible smartphone if an incident is detected. DURABLE BY DESIGN

is there a suction style for attaching the mount to the windshield. Wouldn't with use the sticky pad just fall off.

How hard is it remove the camera from mount to use on a another vehicle? I have six cars and would like to wire them all up but have only one camera to rotate among them. I would be snapping camera on and off between cars.

Garmin offers a universal suction mount that can be used to move this to any vehicle you need it in.
we travel in our rv. We are not always around wifi for the app. so it will record constantly? another video said it just recorded incidents. we can take out sd card and save what we want out of the recording. the app only saves the incidents correct? and uploads whaen it connects to wifi?

I have limited options for running cable. What I do have is a small USB power brick. Have you tried powering with an external power source such as I am describing? Thanks! Subbed :)

That would work fine. If you use a powerbank that use 4 standard AA rechargeable cells they would usually be of a 2500mAH capacity or more, 7 hours of continuous recording until you'll need to swap batteries for charged ones as the camera takes 350mA. Also remember that if the Mini2 doesn't detect any movement for the parking guard time set, minimum 2 hours, it goes into power save mode where it takes 6mA, almost nothing, and will start up and record for 30 sec when it detects a vibration. If it detects a second vibration it goes out of power save mode and will then be on for that 2 hour time parking guard timer, taking 350mA. This is if you power it from a normal USB cable. If you have the Garmin parking mode cable it is actually more for the old Mini and Garmin's old x6 camera models, as the Mini2 and x7 models have their own parking mode built into them and the parking cable will switch off the power to the camera after the parking mode times out, that 2 hour time as a minimum, and cannot come to life again from a vibration.

Yes the camera have a sensitivity setting that you can adjust to help with stabilization. If you are on very smooth roads you can have it set high but if you are on a back road where your vehicle might be bouncing around we recommend you lower your settings.

So I still don't understand... It records continually when your car is on.. you can take the sd card out put into computer and save anything you want correct? And also let's say a road rage incident occurs you say save video or push button manually and it does what? Does it save 2 or 3 mins of film prior to you doing this? Cause obviously when you save it's going to be after the fact

Great question! So yes, the Dash Cam Mini 2 is always recording when plugged into a running vehicle. When you want to save something that isn't automatically detected as an "incident," then you can save it as soon as you need to. After that, you can actually choose the recorded footage that you want to save, so you can back up the timeline to when the incident happened.

Garmin does offer a Vault subscription. You can also opt to use SD cards.
Vorrei sapere la differenza tra Dash cam GARMIN Mini, Dash cam GARMIN Mini 2 cosa c’è di differenza, e sapere anche se possibile in che modo viene collegata la telecamera al telefono, c’è bisogno di una connessione dati che poi faccia da hotspot alla dash cam in auto per vedere i video in tempo reale sul mio telefono, o basta solo una connessione Wi-Fi dal mio telefono anche senza stare in auto per vedere i video in tempo reale lontano dalla mia auto?
