Hi friends! We are so excited to get our 2024 garden going already, what are some of your go-to fall crops to plant? 😊

A head start, Morgan ?!?! That is such excellent planning on your part, especially since you have such a grand vegetable harvest every year. Typically for us, we mess around with the flower gardens in the fall, removing dhalia tubers and planting more and more tulips for some spring beauty. Have an excellent weekend, young one, keep up this beautiful work !!

I saw some neat tricks lately. One was to get a big round dowel and mark the inches on it. Just poke the stick in the ground up to how deep it needs to be planted. They also put carrot seeds in a salt shaker to distribute them for planting. Thought they were neat ideas

Well done on getting your garlic planted! I don’t have the space to do a full on veggie garden but luckily there’s a local garlic farm very close to my house & I can buy from there. I never thought much about the quality of garlic until I picked up some from the farmer & I was floored on how potent it is, my whole car instantly smelled like garlic. No such thing as too much sausage! 😋 Your rice cooker is so cute! Miss Cowgirl is so full of sass, she’s like ‘attention me right meow human’😼Love Arrow & Moose’s little peeks over the counter, always happy to volunteer their taste testing professional services. I’ve been making quite a bit of sourdough baking lately & my 2 Labradors love clean up duty of any sourdough starter that accidentally drops on the floor when I’m feeding it. No matter how careful I am, somehow my baking bits always end up on the floor.🤷‍♀️

We pulled in all our container plants off the balcony today since it's supposed to get down into the 30s tonight. Lots of tomatoes that I'm too nervous about but leaving the carrots out since they should be okay haha. Love your channel and love the kitty!! 💖

So smart, the extra work of pulling them in is always well worth it! If it’s not too late you can throw a sheet over your tomatoes and they should be totally fine! I’ll have my garden fingers crossed for you! 😊

@@TheWyomingHomestead thank youuu! Couple the 30s with high winds and I felt it would be better to just bring them all in. It was a bit of a task but they're all safely tucked inside wherever I could find space. I can't wait to have an actual garden one day when we're not in an apartment! Haha

I'm also in Wyoming and Im looking for tips to getting a big harvest with our short growing seasons. How to get the growth when the snow is still deep in March. Following for area specific content. If you have a series for short season tips, I'd love links. Thanks!

Welcome and thank you for being here! All of my garden videos are done here in Wyoming! My biggest reccommendation is start seeds inside and choose the right seed the days to maturity is on the packages and will let you know if the plant will make it in time

I just found your channel. My wife and I are going to be moving to Wyoming soon to start homesteading, do you have any advice on locations that are better than others in the state, like north or south or maybe near a specific town? Love your channel BTW.

That’s amazing to hear you all are moving to beautiful Wyoming! There are no bad choices. One thing to consider is elevation if you plan on gardening. Places like Laramie are pretty high in elevation so make gardening pretty tough. We are outside of Casper and absolutely love it but winters are windy. Some of our other favorites towns are Sheridan, Story, Lander and Buffalo. On the east side of the state, it is little, we love Torrington 😊
