Garden Tractor Plow Day in Boonville Missouri

BEST 5 gallon gas can Ever! --- amzn.to/2npQ20z
We took our David Bradley walk behind garden tractor to a Tractor Plow Day in Boonville Missouri. This was the first event like this in our area, and about nine garden tractors showed up. There was a few John Deere, a few Sears, an Allis Chalmers and a Cub Cadet, even a few David Bradley walk behinds too..

Don't know how I got here but I'm glad I did. Didn't know garden plowing is a "thing". The ole' walk behind is pretty cool. Thank you very much. Time's like these people need to thank the farming community. Without them we'd be dead.

This brings back memories. My mother grew up near Bonneville and went to high school there. I remember visiting Missouri every summer as a kid and favorite thing was riding into Booneville in my granddad's old Chevy pickup.

Watching this brought back memories when I was a kid... makes my shoulder hurt again just thinking about plowing 1/2 acre garden with a Sears garden tractor with the manual-lift cat O single bottom plow, where you had to lean way back to reach the handle pull it up at the end of a pass.

Ya gotta love the Midwest! I have never heard of a garden tractor plow day. It looks fun, though. Tracy got quite a workout. My husband has a Graham Paige walk behind garden tractor from about 1940, my 93 year old dad gave it to him. He’s a little afraid to actually use it, it’s quite the beast!

I was about 8 when my dad went to the Topeka sears (1952) to get our David Bradly. Got the plow. disk, cultivator, and front end sickle bar mower. Made a trailer out of some old steel wheels and two beater bars out of an old combine for the hitch. Had the 3.5 Briggs engine and knobby tires. Dad wore out the tires when he used them on his 52 Rambler for snow tires. Those were some fun times out picking corn and gathering wheat straw for the garden.

I would love to bring my father and son to this super cool event. Soo cool. Keep it up and you'll have rows of RV and trailer. Vendors and the swap meet that goes with getting large numbers of these type of enthusiasts together. There's a plow day over in Rantool Illinois for big tractors but don't know anyone else doing this for the garden guys. Many of us can't afford the storage, maintenance, and hauling logistics of the big tractors. There's more of us than you know. Please promote this and watch it grow. Pull hard little boys!!!

@@terryblagburn6644 I've had old front-drive mowers like that. They would either try to pull too fast for the grass thickness, forcing me to pull against them, or they wouldn't pull enough and I would end up pushing more. Those old ones were so cumbersome and heavy that releasing the drive mechanism didn't help anyway.

Put 50 bucks into it and was running circles around the neighborhood. The 3 points and hydraulic pto system are amazing, I wish I would of kept the old gal. Had an old school cultivator walk behind implement for years up for sale or give away .. no one wanted. Eventually went to scrap. Wish we would have known you back then .. someone may have wanted it.
