You could easily install your air compressor on the far wall next to the electrical panel. The outlet directly underneath of it is most likely a dedicated circuit, and would be ideal to keep it plugged in there out of the way. You can put a 25'-50' retractable air hose reel on the ceiling above it & just pull out as much hose as you need when you are working on a project. Also, this would keep the compressor out of the way of your wife's car.

Great job on the bench build! I watched the 3 videos so far....I see this as a mini-series on youtube in the coming weeks...haha :) Effectively organizing any space can be a challenge....especially a garage. If you dont mind, I will give you some suggestions that will make things a lot easier for you. - Step #1 : Get some trash bags & throw away everything that is junk, trash, unusable, etc. You will be amazed at how much stuff in there you do not need & will never use again.

    - Step # 2 - Get a large (32+ gallon) trashcan w/lid & use it. Packaging, shop towels, old parts, etc will pile up. Keep in mind that paints, cleaners, spray bottles, etc will pile up & accumulate much faster than you realize. I hate to say it, but one shelf isnt going to cut it. You really should keep your metal solvent cabinet in the garage & keep the majority of that in there. It will also reduce a fire risk by not having any near open flames, outlets, or grinding wheels.

I am not sold on is your parts washer. I have one also, and I can assure you I almost never use it. I think that is a lot of "real estate" to use (25% of your bench) for something that isnt used much. I think since basically the space underneath of it is unused since it drops down, you may want to re-attach the legs & maybe attach the parts washer frame to a furniture dolly or casters to roll it around as needed. Then put plywood back down on the top & greatly increase your usable work space.

In response to your issue about being able to get another car into the garage, you might want to consider a folding workbench. That way you could fold it up or down when the extra car is in the garage and when your ready to use the bench you simply pull the car out and raise or lower your workbench.

Lastly, on your workbench, you mentioned a mahogany trim board....that will look great! You may want to have it raised slightly above the bench level (1/2 - 1 inch) so it will prevent tools, parts, etc from rolling off of your work space & onto the concrete. Great job & I am looking forward to the new videos!
