@@luvstagrind How do you actually know that Dracula's power exceeds Ganon's? Death Battle assumed that the ToP was 1/3 planetary even though the 3 goddesses showed no fatigue when bringing life to the world. They casually brought life to the Earth. Plus when Ganon ruled over the Dark World, which was the Sacred Realm transformed. Which is an alternate universe, he had the Complete Triforce in his possession. Plus they stated that Ganondorf escaped the sacred Realm, even without the full Triforce in their analysis. Proving Ganondorf is capable of dimensional travel, even when not at full power or the complete Triforce.

I admit I like Ganondorf, but Dracula was a given for this matchup, he just has too much power to draw upon. Leave alone Dracula (the OG before the dumb remake of lords of shadows) was one heck of a badass in his own right.

This is a salient point, though I think they wanted to refer to a more recent and better-illustrated example of the Triforce being destroyed or at least wiped from existence. It certainly isn't immune to competing energy, and only really functions as an artifact of power as opposed to a direct conduit to all of the goddesses energy (otherwise, why would Ganon stop there?)

@@TheKyrix82 Sure, in ambition he was relentless- I can readily agree to that. But at the same time, he was not without limits to his reach and potency. Any argument that claims he possessed an infinite source of power just from his part of the Triforce would need to explain why he never exhibited total omnipotence while pursuing his goals. Usually, the simplest answer is also the right answer. In this case, the simplest answer is that the Triforce _wasn't_ a source of infinite power, and _could_ be destroyed or removed, or its power bound and limited.

I mean the triforce can never really be "destroyed" but it can shatter it.

I'm gonna be real with you, it was an unfair match up. They did low-ball Dracula a little bit, he's multiversal, not universal. If I remember, Ganondorf's like what, planet, maybe star level. Still a huge gap in power. Dracula cannot be corrupted nor can his mind be manipulated because he's immune to such things. He's immune to time stop, reality warping and void manipulation/existence erasure. Dracula also has the ability to manipulate creation itself via conceptual manipulation. His speed is also infinite, not massively FTL+. Dracula has Chaos Manipulation which allows him to create, shape and manipulate the chaotic forces in the universe, allowing him to manipulate probability or manipulate and even shatter reality. He is able to change, mutate, destroy or otherwise manipulate any matter, space/time, living beings, organizations or minds and spirits as well as containing it, so it doesn't spread or spreads only on desired way. He is the ruler of the abyss (10 hells I believe) and the dark world/hell, although the monsters in the chaotic realm kneel to him so he does have some authority there. But the most important thing to note, just to let you know that you shouldn't fuck with Dracula. Death, himself, kneels to him. He literally has power over Death. Does Ganondorf have such power? Don't think so.

One thing I learned about Death Battle is that while they show the outcome correctly (for the most part), they really just let whatever happen in it to make it appealing. Which is fine in my opinion, but it can lead to some controversy. Such as this, or the Blue Falcon, or yadda yadda. I understand they left out some things Ganondorf could do... but they also left out things Dracula could do, so.... there's my thing.

At least they kept something important. Though I’m not happy with how they did the Superman vs Goku rematch, where Superman took damage from Goku’s Red Haired Super Form, but not from the Blue Haired Superform. That’s very inconsistent and contradictory.

Watch the Castlevania netflix series. That isn’t a suggestion, that’s an order, for your own good.

This is easily among my favorite death battles. Love both characters, and I think thematically it was a good matchup. Glad they went with Dracula as the victor though; he’s simply far more powerful.

Everyone keeps saying "the Triforce of Power is a holy weapon!" ... But it's not. It's a holy artifact that _enhances_ power. Ganon's magic, on the other hand, is _not_ holy magic- it's _dark_ magic.

HMK you know this fight was fair, because of Dracula's skill was way more experienced in magic and is a universal force. When really how do you beat a power of a whole chaotic universe

And goku vs superman, their research is always trash regardless of the fight. Superman wouldn't win by strength he would win by his speed and durability. Thanos even with heart of the universe and infinity gauntlet would get pummeled by darkseid. I even disagree with link vs cloud cloud would be too much for link (fierce deity mask and magic armor that's debatable)

It could just completely wipe him out from that reality if you believe in multi-verse theory. It could just easily shift Dracula to a parallel reality. I never thought Ganon was all that bad. He just got caught up in events that triggered his anger.

Dracula has infinite speed , so i dont know what he could do to the reality. He already even created another reality. So i dont know if put him in a parallel reality would do something.

The bias is strong with this one. The triforce can't be destroyed is like saying the Titanic can't sink. One day, it'll be pushed to its absolute limits, especially if it's just one third of its true power. Ain't gonna stop the Dracc from gdtting a snacc.

Thing is though the triforce has never been shown to be completely destroyed. Broken into pieces yes, but that only happened in Zelda 1 because Zelda intentionally did it and they were in pieces in Wind Waker because in Ocarina of Time Link was sent back to his time where the Triforce of Courage already existed so the pieces broke apart to keep balance.

- So Ganondorf opened a gap in space-time casually in OoT without even being there in the Forest Temple. -He canonically outranks Zant in power, who ruled over the entire Twilight Realm (a separate dimension) and can causally contain the Sols who Midna stated that just one of them was similar to Hyrule's sun. -Kept up with Link who can parry lasers now without the sacrificing stamina and the fact he killed Majora, who was a god that created the alternate dimension of Termina. Plus he casually dodged light arrows without even looking. -Also he's capable of possessing other beings as well. -Not to mention, Zant distorted reality in Hyrule using Ganondorf's power and Twilight magic, which turned living beings excluding Link, Zelda, and Midna (since she's a Twilt) into souls. So Ganondorf would be familiar with Soul manipulation. -Also I noticed that Ganondorf didn't use his own teleportation ability, not once in this fight, like he did in Bowser vs. Ganon episode.🤔 -Not to mention, they just assumed that the three goddesses used their full power to create Hyrule. Even though that they never showed fatigue when they brought life to the planet. They just flew over the planet like it was nothing, leaved the reality behind and left the Triforce in Hylia's responsiblity who controls time (the 4th dimension) itself. -Lastly, didn't they say Ganondorf escaped the Sacred Realm? Which is a separate dimension that exists outside reality, yet Ganondorf still managed to escape?🤔😒

1) Opening a hole in a space and time no bigger than a continent doesn't put him anywhere near universal power. 2) Zant only ruled the twighlight realm, not destroy or create it 3) Link only killed Majora because of specific weapons he possessed, especially the Fierce Deity Mask. It does not really prove him to be on par with a god as it only loosely relies on his physical strength. The rest can be credited to his tools. If that were the case, then Belmonts should be universal too for beating Dracula all the time. 4) Possession is something Drac has too, so at best they counter each other in this way. And it still does nothing against Drac's soul stealing abilities. 5) Similar to before, he only distorted time and space on a relatively small scale compared to the universe. So Chaos is still the more powerful force. 6) Just because he didn't use teleportation in the fight does not mean it wasn't taken into account. And again like before, Dracula does it too so at best they counter each other perfectly. 7) We've never seen the Goddesses' true power so that is very vague. And there's also no say in how much power was given to the Tri-Force of power. There's not been many showcasing of just what exactly it can do. More than the other two I'd say, but still not enough to justify being on Dracula's level. 8) To escape a dimension is not the same as destroying it. If he did that then yeah we'd be singing a different tune. But he didn't... And even if Ganon had Dracula's level of power it does not change the difference in experience, durability, regeneration, survivability, versatility, and overall mobility. Dracula has everything Ganondorf can do, but more and better.

Not everyone has to be a diseased individual to be willing to destroy everyone to prove how powerful they are ( *ahem Sephiroth* ). That's the equivalent of saying that Sonic can't go lightspeed cause he never did it in canon. 3) Link's arsenal is apart of Link's character, and Link has shown many times that he has been able to survive blows from such beings time and again. 4. Yet they assume that Ganondorf's soul can be stolen, which they have no proof enforcing that Drac could. 5. Yet in the downfall timeline he distorted time and space, when he was a rampaging monster with no control over his mind. Yet he did it without the Triforce of Power. Since the real one was left back in Hyrule. 6. Still if you're going to mention an ability, you might as well use it in the fight. Otherwise it's a waste of potential.

I do believe Dracula would win but I still have two issues with this death battle. 1. They didn’t use Ganondorfs strongest version which in my opinion is Link to the Past Ganon. He had all three Triforce Pieces. 2. They should not have used Sōma Cruz to scale Dracula. He’s technically a different person.

1- He has the full Triforce but, at the same time, he didn't. The Triforce was busy fulfilling his wish " I want to conquer the World". But he had the Trident and a form of Ganon with intelligence, not just a Dark Beast driven by destruction. 2- On the other side. They used Hyrule Warriors and Smash Bros Ganon too, they are from different canon.

The reason they brought up Soma is because he inherited Dracula's powers. Basically, if Soma can do it, so could Dracula.

The problem with the 'dodging beamos lasers' thing used for comparison is that beamos lasers have always had a slight delay before firing. It makes sense too, considering that the eye doubles as a lens for focusing the energy. It doesn't really work if you have advance warning, because small as it may be, it's still a longer time to react than the speed of a laser would allow. It takes about half a second, and given the short distances being discussed, that makes the reaction millions of times less impressive. Consider that in half a second, light can travel very nearly 15 billion cm compared to the measly 518 mentioned and you get a very good idea of how much less impressive it gets just like that. By comparison it winds up sounding ordinary.

I figured HMK knew that Death Battle uses composite characters when there are several canonical versions of the same character. Each Ganon is technically canon and an expression of the total potential that Ganon possesses. It's not that big of an issue- they do the same thing with Marvel characters.

I have to literally sign on to say that your cries and tears were so melodic, satisfying and have uplifted me because though I love Zeldom, I was rooting for the Prince of Darkness.

Ganon got reincarnated in the Downfall timeline, specifically the Oracle games. The resurrection was botched in that instance, leading to him being little more than a feral beast with massive magical power. That might be where they're pulling that statistic from

The Tri-force cannot be destroyed...but it can be fragmented. Ganon is merely a man after all...hence his hubris.

It was interesting learning more about ganondorf's background and Dracula's background but I don't know diddly-squat on both games such as Zelda and Castlevania haven't even played none of them and yet I'm glad to have learned both their backgrounds but as for the battle itself it was great it was great especially when Ganondorf turn into a a bigger monster than Dracula which to me was kind of funny but at the same time I don't know how to do can be destroyed by that crazy mutant called Dracula. Okay maybe Dracula has some type of holy weapon that can defeat Ganondorf but I'm confused I thought Ganondorf has the most holy weapons?

Dracula was winning free. If Ganon was fighting his reincarnation Soma it wouldn’t even be a contest Soma would slap this man like nothing

You should do a video on if The Master Sword can hurt and kill Aku from Samurai Jack and vice versa if Jack's Sword can do the same to Ganondorf/Ganon.

Jack’s sword isn’t holy in the slightest. It’s specifically designed to destroy evil beings and it was created by GODS. Not anywhere near the same thing as being holy.

I had such a hard time with this one. I wish they would have gave him the full Triforce, now THAT would have been something!!! That said I have to admit from the years of playing Castlevainia games, the powers and forces in those games are INSANE!!! Now had he been facing Demise (sp?) That would have been a world breaking fight there!

Yeah and that one was trash for a few reasons.

Dracula made it 100x easier to reach him.

I don't think it was that the Triforce of Power was destroyed. It seemed more like Ganondorf's death at the end of Twilight Princess, a strong enough hit for a holy source causing the Triforce to leave the host.

Ganondorf was already dead in TP, his wounds were deadly, he was cheating death with the power of the Crest. We damaged him even further by strinking on those wounds. The Triforce has no business with the dead, even so, it seems that the gods intervened. When Ganon died in LOZ, the Triforce of power was left among his ashes. meaning that it is not a rule of the Triforce. Here, he was fine. No injuries. This is illogical.

Remember that the animation is separate from the general analysis and victor. For example, some matchups might have someone who can win in a single punch, but they will still make the animation interesting and fun. Trying to give both sides some good parts. So, for example, if you wanna argue that the triforce can't be destroyed, then that would be an error in the animation. You may not be wrong, but it doesn't change the outcome. Even when you were questioning their math at the end about how much power the triforce had, they had a tab on the top right of the screen that read "Even if the Golden Goddesses' powers were far greater, Ganon only possessed a fraction of it. It took the entire Triforce to maintain the alternate dimension of Lorule, and even then only for a limited time. There is no evidence that the Triforce of Power could match the Chaotic Realm." I know about as little about LoZ as I do Castlevania. So if the whole triforce can only do for a limited time what Chaos could do for as long as it exists, and Ganon doesn't even have the full triforce, then I think that is sound logic that Chaos has more power. It's not that the triforce is weak, it's just that Chaos is far stronger than we realized. And I realize this comment is way too long and no one is gonna read this far. Oh well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's easy : Full Triforce = Omnipotent wishes Triforce of Power = Unlimited "Power" Triforce of Wisdom = Unlimited "Wisdom" Triforce of Courage = Unlimited "Courage" Power : Basically physical strenght and resistance to physical harm. It strenghten stuff. Ganondorf is invulnerable to non-sacred weapons. Ganon has infinite potential in strenght and grow stronger the more he is mad, he broke through dimensions, time and space. It is to become the causality of all. Wisdom : Basically power over law and order. The Light Arrows and control over time and space, Zelda also commanded the Light Spirits one time which are the guardians of the world's light. It is indeed a great power than to bow the deities that rule over the aspects of the world to your will. It is the control of Fate. Courage : It is just magic potential in all of its forms, the magic of life. The power of life, it preserves Link from losing his light by turning him into a spirit animal when in areas of shadow, in this form he can understand and communicate with all "semi"-intelligente life forms. It gives link an unbreakable determination, a strong fighting spirit to overcome all obstacles, sounds like a plot armor. It is to seize one's destiny. Unlimited strenght, control over space time, shonen protagonist's plot armor. They all seem overpowered enough. If Darkness is the same as Chaos then Ganon already possess it, he commands Darkness as the Demon King, a successor of Demise which incarnates Darkness and was able to wound and thus slay even Gods.

@@nonoctoro4933 you say ganon has "unlimited" power. But as another tab in the death battle explained, Ganon has been over powered, even with the triforce of power. For example, the first Legend of Zelda game. If his power was truly "unlimited", then Link should die in one hit. What I want to know, is what evidence do you have for your claims? It sounds like that's how you interpret how they work, but if the triforce of power is truly unlimited power, then Ganon should never be defeated. Courage only allows you to face these obstacles without fear. It does not give you the ability to overcome or overpower these obstacles.

@@gamingreploid1866 Ah yes, this ... No, it has not be overpowered, when Ganon was about to die, the Crest of Power disappeared from his hand, it was only a crest and we never saw it physically. Tho, it is a special case, in TLOZ, we collect his Triforce from his ashes, meaning that it does not leave its user when this one dies. I should precise infinite potential in strength, this nuance is what distinguish Ganon from Saitama. Imagine an infinite source of energy as the triforce of power and the heart of its user as an opening releasing it, to release more of this energy a great heart is needed. Heart as in 心(kokoro) the concept of an association of soul, mind and spirit. That's why Ganon draws powers when in great anger. The all mighty strength of the Triforce of Power was shown at two occasion. When Ganon broke free from the Dark Realm after OOT. When Ganon broke free from time-stop prior to TWW. He broke through dimensions and Time, barriers placed by the gods in both cases.

Since it destroys evil and he is evil, it destroys him. And Link is not a weak nobody, Link is a special person chosen as the Hero. " The youth who draws forth the guiding sword shall be known as the goddess's chosen hero, and it is he who possesses an unbreakable "spirit". He shall be burdened with the task of abolishing the shadow of apocalypse from the land. Such is his destiny."-Fi He was chosen by Hylia because of his unbreakable heart she needed in her plans to destroy Demise, there are only a few of tem in the entire world, their special hearts makes them able to use the Triforce's powers with even more intensity. The Heroes are all of the blood of the Knight Clan told in ALTTP. To achieve Knighthood, one must defeat a giant monster by himself, and the Hero is above all of them, one that possess the Spirit of the Hero, a chosen among the elite. Link is also a Force of Good that carries the burdens of the people when defeating evil, it is what powered the Fierce Deity Mask, the merit of all masks containings the memories of the people we made happy, we restored the Hope in their world of Despair and it manifested as the Fierce Deity Mask. It actually strengthen us, each time Link makes people happy, they produce a little bit of Force or a Gratitude Crystal, Force is pure power, the thing that powers the Four Sword or the Phantom Hourglass. Link is crafty and will find a use to every items he picks, ala Macgyver. Yes, he's a mere mortal, he's not immortal and not invulnerable, but it is a part of his strength, mortals, life in general, in evolves, it adapts to all situations, this is a world where there are frogs in lava, piranhas in the clouds and killer whales in the sands, they are a force of Earth, of Entropy which always leads to death but also changes. But Destiny is a powerful tool. Ganondorf might be physically more powerful than Link but Link is spiritually stronger. And Zelda is mentally more powerful(as Hylia she thought of all of our mouvements and made a linear progression of our adventure centuries prior, this is gameplay integrated in the lore ahah, and in BOTW Zelda had to face the hard truth that you can't predict everything thus the game was an open world). They are all a facet of the Trinity that is the Triforce. But there is also a duality between Light and Darkness. Between Order and Disorder, between Hope and Despair. And Ganon was not always a force of Despair, in TWW, he said he started with Hope for his people but got corrupted by the lust for power, he was ready to spare our lives and restore Hyrule but his sins of the past were too heavy and he returned to Despair. The Gods are a Force of Hope and the Demons oppose them as a Force of Despair. The "Chaos" in Castlevania, it is also a thing in Zelda. The more Ganon sink into despair, the more the Triforce of Power manifests its strength. That's too deep of a reasoning to be part of a clip of fictinal characters punching each others in the face.

@@FGCtrash no ... at all, Death Battle makes a generalization of the character, taking the best factors of this and running them into a version of this, this means that all the Ganons and Ganondorfs that have existed (and yes, I am informed that the most / practically all Ganons and Ganondorfs are the same), they are in this version of Ganondorf, so from the point of view of the DB Cast this Ganondorf is the best Ganondorf that can exist

Malice is just the physical embodiment of Darkness, it is dark emotions such as hatred and grudge. Calamity Ganon is a spirit, it lost its physical form, a soul. We learn from OOT with the Poe that their color comes from their emotion at death. The Soul of the Poe were burning with Hatred. If Calamity Ganon is just a very big soul, then he is burning with Malice. So ... Malice is just Ganon's evil ectoplasm.

@@FGCtrash Well yes, it is not the same. Calamity Ganon is a form achieved after millennia of repeating the cycle of death and rebirth. Of Ganon never giving up on revival, it's an evolution. OOT Ganon is a novice, he just transformed once into his Dark Beast Ganon form. It "transcends Demon Kinghood" (yes, a reference to Berserk).

@@nonoctoro4933 you have a good point but comparing the malice of ganon with that of a poe is like comparing a small plant with a tree, also I have a small theory that I would like to share, Ganondof always had the power of Malice but never knew that he possessed such power , since he was already a witchcraft prodigy in dark magic and since this never interested him to inquire into his own being or his own power, the power, anger and hatred of Demise himself who was inside him, it was not until the ebents before of BoTW when Ganondorf was sealed by the owner of that mysterious hand in the "BoTW 2" Triler where over the years and unconsciously this developed a hatred and anger towards Hyrule so immense that he was not even interested in conquering it but destroying it completely, thus manifesting what we know as Calamity Ganon, I am almost certain that this Ganondorf could not only match if not even perhaps surpass the Demise himself, but who knows, after all, what is the wrath of a human compared to the Demon King himself?

It did because of a wish from their Triforce. It can't, Dracula is not omnipotent, the Triforce is.

A couple things 1: the Sages sword probably Is a weapon of light and holy intentions. When ganon says it is nothing more than an impressive blade, he is probably Just saying that. 2: Dracula has been stopped by unholy weapons before. (Glyph Dominus, which was his chaotic power, and anything in Portrait of ruin you could use.) and 3: Ganon is a smart guy, he seems very smart and wouldn't let anyone charge up a move that could kill him like the standard anime villain. I doubt he would've let Dracula charge up any attack. Also, they bring up the meteor thing a couple times. That is a special move in Portait of Ruin. It didn't happen in the story for it. if it was a cutscene then yeah, it is true and would actually be a feat. The fact remains that... It is an optional team clash attack the characters would use. For example, We know in DMC1, Dante survived meteors because that is what lead into the 2nd phase of Mundus.

24:10-24:23 For a limited amount of time? Yet Zant still ruled over his reality with just using a smaller amount of Ganondorf's power.

It can’t be destroyed but it has ditched him before in other timelines when Ganon has gotten soundly beaten. It allies itself with someone who embodies power. The moment someone stronger than him shows up it leaves him. Also Death Battles rules are that they use the weapons and abilities they would naturally have on hand, like if they met in a field with no plan on fighting who would win. Ganon’s Malice Magic has not been fully explored so it’s unclear if he could always do that or if something else was involved and he would not use Sheika weapons because Calamity Ganon used those and Ganondorf has never used them.

I have to wonder, did Death Battle take into account Dark(Calamity) Beast Ganons near invulnerability towards Light(Holy) Element in Breath of the Wild, only with Zeldas assist did Link defeat Ganon with Light Arrows by creating weak points as without those weak points arrows did 0 damage. Then again they might have left Calamity Beasts skin out as it might been just another Puppet Ganondorf created. We know this for certain when sequel hits shop shelf.

Link between worlds doesn't explain how the triforce was destroyed but I mean seeing only a triforce could restore the triforce it seems fitting only a triforce could destroy itself

I am too familiar whit Demonic Medgido for all the Castlevania Judgement I played. Knew exactly what it was when it was used. Tough I too was rooting for Ganondorf.

Does anybody else think this battle be more badass if it was Demise instead of ganondorf, plus the results would be a whole lot different if you ask me.

If you think in the spiritual sense of things. Forces like Order, Chaos, and the like reign higher than gods, gods tend to focus on one thing while things like chaos is well...unpredictable it goes beyond whats expected. A god can great, and so can chaos...or destroy it...flip it upside down..make it rain chocolate bars, its power far surpasses a god.

I've played both games. one more than the other, think its obvious which one. I just wanted to let you know that I think a different ganon may have had a better chance. cuz there are like loads of em lol. The triforce has its' own share of strengths, for example, the one he has right now should give him enough "physical strength to withstand just about anything". He is also canonically hurt only by weapons of light which Drac does not have. There are just too many inconsistencies in this death battle due to who gets hurt by what.

Hritanshu Rath what death battle does is they take the best attributes of the characters from all the games not just one that’s why it’s unfair how they completely avoided malice and they compared the triforce of power to a AA battery when it is literally the embodiment of unlimited power

Hey there, the other comment got deleted so I hope you don't mind that I answer here. Mario's best lifting strength feat is him lifting a castle in Super Mario World. Death Battle calculated the force of that in Mario VS Sonic 2018. His best striking strength feat would be his ability to hurt Bowser who survived a Supernova in Super Mario Galaxy (Although it's debatable to what extend Mario scales to Bowser). His best speed feats are moving effectively as a bolt of lightning in Super Mario Odyssey (which isn't much slower than Sonic according to Death Battle) and piloting the Star Diver at Mach 200+ in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. DB calculated those feats in Mario VS Sonic 2018 and came to the conclusion that Mario's reaction & combat speed is high enough to keep track of Sonic (Sonic is still faster, but they said Mario's better strength, power ups and durability as well as his not too far behind speed gave him the victory). As for durability he is mostly scaled to "taking hits from Bowser" who lifted a million ton castle in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. Some also scale Mario to Donkey Kong (who punched the moon out of orbit in Donkey Kong Country Returns), since they fought in the Mario vs DK games. Death Battles used a gigantic explosion Mario was hit in Mario Power Tennis for the battle against Sonic as his durability feat. Some things change depending on who Mario is scaled too. I guess this part is open for interpretation.
