Great job capturing the history and situation in Lawrence and details regarding the gang structure. I used to work in paper mill industry and serviced mills along the Merrimack River in Lawrence and Haverhill in early 1990s. Kept a metal pipe and screwdriver under my front seat for late night service calls since it wasn't real safe back then (especially Lawrence water front). Remember returning calls on my work pager from pay phone outside the McDonald's on Broadway. The mills are long-gone and so is much of the humanity.

I had a little bat from Fenway i got during bat day lol. Kept that under my seat and a small beretta tomcat in my car door stuck to the speaker magnet lol. Glad i never had to pull that out. Especially in Mass. Automatic orange for that. I live in Maine now, much safer, better gun rights and it's true, when people know that if they break into a home they are more likely to become a statistic, they usually don't. We no longer have to get a permit for concealed carry either. As long as you aren't a felon of course. Or if your name is Hunter. I wonder if he really will get slapped with anything big. Like the Kennedy's before him, they usually walk away with a slap on the wrist. I still love Boston though. Great memories living there in the 1980's. Going to the rat skellar and other wild crazy places. As far as cities go, it still has soul and alot of culture. People like Jason are keeping it real and alive. Plus, the Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics, I know the Pat's are struggling but still more great reasons to love bean town.

Being from Portland, Maine, it’s pretty standard procedure to drive to Lawrence to cop big loads of dope, unless you’re just buying smaller quantities and just cop on the street in Portland (so the same story as any other city north of mass). But being a junky for as long as I was since the early 2000s and ripping around the Lawrence area thousands of times, I never once copped stamp bags in that area? Maybe that’s because we were always making the drive to buy a lot of sticks in one shot from established connections but in my 15 years or so of going to Lawrence I was never even offered a stamp bag. From my experience that was always a tri-state area/western mass thing because it often came to those areas from New York packaged that way, that’s just how those places got down. Anything eastern mass and above that has always been weight, broadly speaking. Not saying you’re incorrect!!! Just found that interesting. Subbed to your channel!!

Thanks welcome to the channel 🙏 I was saying the stamp bags were pre 2000s. Once all the OC addicts switched over to sniffing dope they started selling .5’s full grams and full and half fingers etc. old heads told me late 80’s thru the 90’s Lawrence and Lowell was bundles of stamp bags. But you’re right since early 2000’s it switched to bigger sizes. Also right about the stamp s bags being prevalent out west SPringfield/Holyoke and down toward Providence. Don’t have any experience beyond that . Thanks again brothah 🙏🙏

I really think it depended upon your connect. My guy was a Latin King and always had bundles of stamped bags. Serious good quality. Now its all fentanyl which is not only more deadly but lacks the high that the real deal gives. Fent will make you into a zombie unless you die first. I knew one guy that got fingers but the bundles were good and only 30 bucks so i stayed with what i knew was a good situation. Hope you are doing ok. I lived on Munjoy hill for years when it was just the Italian neighborhood. Portland had so much culture, music, etc. Now it's just a place for homeless and wealthy people from elsewhere. Gentrification and the town allowing beautiful victorian homes be chopped up into air bnb's ruined the city. I no longer even visit.

spot on reporting of Lawrence! For about five years i would drive my inconspicous van into Lawrence, pay two bucks to park on Essex st and would then disappear into one of the many large apartment buildings. I was there for the blow which my Latin King connect never stepped on. We had a great system. Later on, i would cop bundles for a few others and those were from the Kings also. I think they got there supply from NYC as only a few times they ran out and would go there. Never once had any issues. The LK's know it's better business to be cool and straight up. Once however, i was ready to jump onto the pike, got sideswiped by a car. I pulled my van over and there was a car filled with children, none buckled in, the driver was either Puerto Rican or Dominican started praying and begging me not to call the police. I looked at my van, just a scrape, looked at his car, big dent, and told him to get going and buckle his kids in lol. Would not have been good had Law enforcement arrived. Anyway, all good things come to an end. I remember the scorpions and some bags had a dinosaur on them. My connect was bagged by immigration and i never saw him again. Probably a good thing. I went into rehab and maybe it saved my life. It still gives me chills thinking about the crazy stuff i did but when you are addicted, your brain is hijacked. Still have some good memories, heart pounding, cruising onto Essex hearing latin music coming from places, bodega's, and knowing i would be riding dirty within minutes.

Mann I remember the first time I went to Lawrence to cop. We turned a corner next to the ball field (near the Portuguese club) near Bunkerhill rd. And I swore up and down that I just landed in the Caribbean. It was a culture shock for sure but we used to spin Lawrence for the work for years. Before I got into the politics and got tapped in here on the Cape (it’s going down in Hyannis no cap) I would drive from the Cape to Lawrence or Boston every other day to cop. Put a lot of miles on the whip from that lol

AND Chicago has a trillion Mexicans unlike the nyc that has tons of Dominicans so their Spanish slang and customs are different. And the Puerto Ricans have MLD (maniac Latin disciples). When i lived in East Boston in 1980, i worked at Bethlehem atlantic ship yard a drydock in East Boston. Cars were being stolen almost every day from our parking area alone. I didn't know Lawrence was big on that as well. I think Boston lead the nation in stolen cars and chop shops in the 80's. Per capita of course. The saying was, if you had a car payment and didn't want the car just leave it unlocked. It would disappear and after 90 days the insurance would pay it off...Wild times for sure.
