Castor oil pack! Years ago I had a very painful ganglion cyst removed from my left hand. Had it over 15 yrs and finally caved and did surgery. Now I have one on my right hand. Been applying a castor oil pack every night and after about a week to 10 days it’s shrunk dramatically. Seeing improvement everyday (been about 2 weeks). I use a small square of 100% organic cotton, soak it in castor oil and then hold it over the cyst with a bandaid and sleep with it. It’s been a miracle so far!

Yes, I confirm castor oil is working for me. Last winter I slipped on wet and muddy stairs in metro underground, but I managed to avoid possibly greater injury by supporting my body weight on my right hand. Although not broken my wrist must have suffered some minor internal injury, as not painful but visibly swallen Gangalion Cyst appeared few months later. Currently I am treating it with daily wrist and fingers gymnastics, warm baths and massage. It takes time, but I noticed improovement. Dull numbness in my fingers is gone.

Hi and thank you for sharing your tips. My 10 year old daughter was doing gymnastics and hurt her wrist, about a week later she had a huge lump on her wrist which I presume is ganglion cycst. I used Castor oil packs on her wrist and it went in a week, however now months after it's back and her hand hurts. So I'm doing Castor oil again, also massaging it with it, also bought her a wrist band and will add hyaluronic acid. My question is how much to give her? A standard dosage or more? Any advice would be much appreciated,i want to fix it for her so she can resume playing sports etc. Hugs, Maria

Hi Maria I am hearing such good things about castor oil - I am looking into it. I am sorry your daughter is struggling with this - I am also sorry that as your daughter is only 10 years old I am reluctant to suggest that she take HA. I am sure it would be fine but I do think you should check with your doctor (who would probably poo poo the idea of it helping anyway.) I know that doesn't help you. I think just keep up with castor oil packs - with any luck her young body will heal more easily than ours! Good luck with it and thank you so much for sharing.

For those who have a bump on the back of the wrist, you may try the table edge method. First close the hand into a tight fist, bend the wrist to bulge the bump out, and quickly hit the bump against the table's edge several times until the bump is flatten or is no longer there. It is like doing kung-fu against the table's edge, but do not do it too hard. Good luck and I hope it will work for you.

I even went into a dermatologist and had it burned and that didn’t stop it. Great video. MY SOLUTION: I had a ganglion cyst on the top of my right wrist for 16 years. I tried EVERYTHING except surgery: aspercreme, smashing it with a book, teas, turmeric, ginger, medicines, creams, oils, heat and pressure, etc I used to regularly visit a doctor and have it drained with a big needle, but it would always return in a day or two and in a week it would be back to the same size. One day I finally asked my friend to smash it with a big book. It worked!! but here's the thing: it might take a few attempts. I think mine was especially hard. It took 4 hits before it finally burst. It didn't hurt but he final whack was painful for a second or two but my cyst was gone! A big, wide, soft book like a telephone book would be perfect. Doesn't have to be hit too hard but firm. Much easier if you get someone else to do it. LOL So my cyst was gone for a good 6 months ... but now it's coming back :( ... but it's much much smaller than it was and I think I'll hit it again when it gets bigger. This has been the best solution and relief in 16 years. I really think if I keep hitting it once or twice a year it will return but it will be smaller and smaller and hopefully one day it won't return or be too small to notice. So don't hesitate - Just do it! Get a big, soft, firm book and a good friend and whack that pesky cyst until it's gone. It will probably hurt for a moment, but it's totally worth it. You won't regret it ; ) I was so happy all day when mine was finally gone.

I just did this with my phone after having it grow out of control on the bottom of my wrist within a month and compress my nerves which radiated into my shoulder. Know that it may come back…but WOW! It is currently gone, and so is the pain. Now I’m massaging it with castor oil and magnesium oil. I take hyaluronic acid and collagen daily but I think I acquired this after an especially stressful yoga session. I’ll try all of these tools to prevent it from returning. @@PandaA-cv3mm UPDATE: 2 weeks after my first post my cyst returned in a much smaller form than usual. I got my wife to whack it firmly with a small, thick soft book. Months later IT HAS NOT RETURNED! So I'm happy about that although I would not recommend hitting it with something hard like a smartphone LOL A thick, soft book would do the trick. Maybe even cover it with something soft like a towel first. Doesn't have to be struck too hard or painfully, just firmly. After a few attempts the sack might burst and your ganglion might not return. Good luck!
