Trust me, owning one right OUTSIDE of a volcano is even worse. I always just wash off the lava when inside. But you have to scrape off the soot with a jackhammer.
Man I can't help but think that pc was intentionally covered in dust and dirt for a video.
@Chooky07
Жыл бұрын
I thought the same. For this amount of dust the pc had to be exposed for a long time to dust and old dust doesn’t fall of right away when you move some parts.

Many people apply the stuff wrong. You only need to apply a dot of the paste, very slightly bigger than grain of rice size, directly to the middle of the CPU. The material will spread out on its own when the heatsink is installed, this method guarantees that no air pockets are left behind and that the paste is spread as thin as possible. Too much thermal paste is actually counter-productive, you are only trying to improve the thermal transfer between the CPU and the heatsink, the thermal paste will never be better at transferring heat than metal will be. Thermal paste goes into the microscopic crevices in the CPU and the heatsink in an attempt to bridge the gaps, increasing the surface area that comes in contact. Painting thermal paste onto a CPU is inefficient, messy and a waste of time.

LOL, obviously it's fake. He just placed that dust there. If you check the RAM and other parts, some of them are so clean on the other side. That seems highly unlikely because the usual dust buildup is equal unless it's the fan itself.

@emanuelriquelme1133 that 2700x CPU is released in 2018. So unless the owner built it just to leave it idle in the garage for 5 years, it is not possible to have that much dust buildup.

I skipped forward to that part. Actually what the fuck was that lmao? "Lemme get my thermal paste application CPU out to spread the paste" that has to be for the meme or something. Not to mention that was WAY too much paste on the installed CPU, that's going to cause thermal problems.
I didn't know you could apply thermal paste on one CPU and use to spread it on another...this is a serious life hack, thanks Rusty

You're cleaning skills are unmatched❤
You cleaning techniques are impressive! 👍I do proper deep cleaning on my PC twice per year therefore no significant dirts come up on it only a little bit but the main thing is I open windows every day for 2-3 hours so the ventilation gives positive outcome to my machine!
a tip. do not blow air without the connected memories, cuz the dust and dirt will enter the slots, 1- first blow all the dust and dirt from the motherboard with the memories fixed in the slots, clean everything around even the memories connected in the slot, 2-after everything clean take out the memories and clean the memory more detail.. This will serve for any type of connector that the board has, processor, USB, 24pin and etc
Great video but that is the first time I have ever seen someone apply thermal paste the way you did😊 plus I see somebody love Linus
Great videos keep it up I love your channel man.❤❤
The front water-cooled fan is installed backwards, which can cause a large amount of heat to be transmitted into the chassis. Graphics cards can withstand excessive heat.

Linus living inside the cooler till today LMAO, funny animation. And i thought my pc is dusty OMG, must been in storage for couple of decades maybe
Very nice components. It's like the beginning music. Quality and dirt flows from every side of the case. While waiting for you to wash it in soapy water in the basin, you used brush strokes like an artist and a damp cloth.
Saludos.

How did you make the pc look that dusty espcially if it has a nzxt aio cooler
The fact that shit still turns on amazes me.
I wish I had a computer like this
The problem with dust in a humidity type of climate is the dust is baked on especially on the fan fins and its near to impossible to remove. I guess its case of buying those fans again if they are available
Dude was playing Assassins Creed Origin in dust
Smoothest thermal paste apply I've ever seen...
that linus definitely saw something that any human shouldn't see
Can anyone help me answer if the inside of the machine is dirty, will it affect the machine,like lag or freeze?
I never thought I would ever see a cooler with a mini screen that only displays Linus's face.
video top traga mais videos assim de limpeza acho interessante!!
How do you prevent static charges when using brushes?
I can tell you made that computer looks dirtier than it was
@wingmantx

Yup, the way that the dust accumulate looked unnatural.
I had to clean a PC that was as dirty as this one, but the context was: the PC was 12 year old, never cleaned before, it was on the ground and at a bus station. So there was too much dirt and dust from vehicles all day for 12 years, and yet I could see the spots where the wind was blowing as much dirtier. This one looks staged, it's a relative new PC, and the dust is spread all over it.
Wow you are a great person, thank you for saving the PC
hey rusty, what is that can thing u used to blow the parts?
gostei do vídeo bastante satisfatório
Honestly I do not get, how someone can let get PC so dirty especially when you look through the glass and being iluminated by ARGB you can easily see this mess. Since I bought new setup with glass side panel, every week I spend 5 minutes vacuum cleaning easily accessible parts and each 6 month I do deep cleaning where I dismount motherboard, power supply and change thermal grease for new one. Thanks for restoring the PC to its previous glory 🥰
im leaving for 1 month in summer and i dont want my pc to get all dusted and im wondering whats the best way to cover it up like i wanna cover the top of my pc and maybe front 2 fans
The Ram in wrong slots and why you didn't put thermal paste on the gpu? D:
Better leave the RAM in the slot because removing it first will put some dust into the slots after starting to disconnect other things and removing the mainboard.
Very cool to see cleaning the pc, a tip when you have at the end of the video play 2 minutes to show the performance of the pc!
mine looked exactly like this, barely cleaned it. gonna retire it this year after building a new one featuring a 13700k 32ram m.2 2tb 4070ti
lol the music is perfect. that PC had more spice than Arrakis
This type of Nzxt case for me is only an aesthetic look only, but it doesn't give good airflow. The gpu power don't loop it, just use direct from PSU. It will not be good enough currents if it's on loop.
i hope one day i could aply my thermal paste like you did
a colocação de poeira no computador ficou perfeita, até parece que é de verdade!! 👏👏
os cara sujando o pc só pra limpar depois 😓😓

How long did it take the vacuum cleaner to collect this much dust? Where do you get more ideas from?
Looks the the gaming box just took a dirt bath to get cleanup !!!😂😂😂😂
I can't even stand a sign of dirt on my PC, and this dude ( owner ) seems like screwed it bad.. oh my 🤣

From where do u get the power to run a PC in the middle of a desert ? solar?

Blowing off dust in a pc with compressed air is very dangerous. Some SMD components could be damaged or detached from the board, and the fans would spin very quickly creating electrostatic charges that could fry the circuits. I know people who dumped some GPUs in the trash after cleaning them with compressed air.
@shofla
11 ай бұрын
@@FreeMind4492 You're right about the fans that's why you always hold them in place even with canned air- but Im not sure what kind of air compressor you would have to use to damage soldered components. I don't think that's a real concern with any consumer air compressor.
