Morgott's One is not an Easy fight. Obviously If you arrived to him over-leveled you can break him but this Is a problem with every single boss in the game expect for the last 3

The game balancing is really weird, if you explored well all areas before him you'll be around lvl 90-100 and most likely be +9 and if you use a light weapon you will wreck him. But, if you rush main bosses and be like lvl 70 here, and if you are using a Colossal sword he just becomes one of the hardest boss in the game. You litteraly cannot punish any of his attacks. You got to rely on one or two or trading hits.

was lvl 50-60 with no magic no summons no buffs 1 ushigatana, any hit or 2 max would kill me since i didnt spec health that much was 20 at most at the time, took me +1h and it was such a hard time, had to find all opennings that i could punish but was fun as hell, i wouldn't trade that experience with anything, (magic, summons, overleveled characters, op weapons, ranged combat) = not compelling for it to be a challenge, they should nerf all these or impose a dmg penalty depending on the difference between the bosses and your level or overall stats, and summons should have an expiration timer some can literally solo bosses wtf is that about. but yet again i understand that everybody has their own playstyle, and some literally have to cater to their viewers or dont even have time to learn the bosses properly and just want to finish the game and see the endings, so, i'm not complaining that i had to suffer alone or anything im just salty and i hate you all.

Same here, seems to be a common thing. I explored everything up till that point including volcano manor (that place was infuriating btw). I guess that's the downside of this being an open world, i wanna have fun exploring but i also don't want to trivialize boss fights.

POV, you are Morgott. You remember the Tarnished that beat you, so it isn’t a surprise that when you are about to take a walk outside, you see one of these dudes: 1. A guy with insane damage that, despite getting slammed by you in your second phase, calls you easy (though is impressed by your grab attack). 2. A newcomer to Elden Ring who keeps commenting on how fluid and athletic your attacks are, and dies once before beating you. 3. A dude who is almost completely stoic most of the fight unless it’s the cutscene, dying and winning, only stopping to summarize what is giving him trouble after dying the second time. 4. A woman who is the third to actually recognize you as Margit, calls your sword tacky, comments the most and dies a lot. 5. Fourth guy to recognize you as Margit, whoops a lot, and gets you 3rd try. 6. A man with a stoic expression and cusses every time until he beats you first try. 7. A lady that mistakes you for a CHAIR at first, recognizes you, and actually explains your attacks the same way the third guy did. 8. Another lady that also recognizes you, uses magic attacks from a distance while her summons do all the hard work, then defeats you on first try and calls you easy. All of these guys let your curse seep into their very soul (according to your second phase line you say when you kill someone).

I can’t stand magic users who say “ahhh first try” lol. Magic users are fine but not ones who claim first try lol

Morgott heard Marz talking shit about his weapon and was like “ok, how about I ruin your life with it?”

@@Broken_Lobo summons in general make the game a joke from what I see (even if some have a braindead AI like the only time I did try the jellyfish ...)

I thought margit was harder, there were longer periods of time where margit stood there trying to bait my attacks. Margit also throws daggers perfectly, making it almost impossible to heal. Morgott was so fluid of a fight that once you got in a rhythm you could easily heal by baiting a slam attack, he has large animations where you can damage him like the one where he throws swords or barfs for like 30 seconds straight

Well also you're just beginning the game at Margit.. If you don't explore at all you will get stomped by him probably. And while the game expects you to explore actually before him.. I've seen plenty walk in only one or two levels and their starting gear etc.. That's what makes Margit tough imo. By Morgott most people have their builds and skills down.

@@CrazeeAdam have done like 3 play throughs and Margit is harder than morgott. Morgott has a clear rhythm to the fight, and his daggers are less accurate when thrown. Probably because he throws 3 instead of 1. I have fought them both with the same gear and Margit is for sure harder

I make it a house rule to not use summons against major bosses. It is indeed much more satisfying, plus after you died like 10x you start to understand them and it's so much fun.

He's such a fucking joke. Take his Mimic Tear away from him and he couldn't get past Godrick

I think I died about 20-25 times. I wasn't overleveled, about level 85 dex build with bloodhounds fang without ashes or Melina. Unfortunately, my build trades a lot of blows in general, so my health felt like it was getting chewed up constantly while he was fast enough to punish bloodhounds finesse every time I used it. It was one that was one of the more difficult fights in the game, it's crazy to me to see so many overleveled and taking out an 8th of his health with one jumping strike.

If you use broken weapons that’s fine but don’t act like your hot shit when you’re panic rolling everywhere

Hes honestly one of the easier main quest bosses I help people all the time, it boss locations and this is the least likely one I found people asking for help

I love how they all think the phase transition is a stagger. Reminds me of my first playthrough. I love his weapon, and I need his miracle weapons on the dlc.

Fought morgott one on one best decision of my life. He's amazing. Top tier boss imo.

@@NonChalanteGuha If you attempt to learn him and only go for posture breaks. He can be pretty difficult, but also very rewarding. Took me like 13 or 14 attempts on my 2nd playthrough. Very fun fight. Unfortunately most people beat him in like the first few attempts without learning his moveset. So not many people will appreciate how great his moveset is unfortunately.

I think they should’ve buffed a little bit more morgott, I love his lore and he’s a good character that a lot of people underestimate him because they were too overleveled, imo for the next elden ring game if they ever make one make some bosses escale bases on your level or smthg like that because it happened to me with godrick and i think i would enjoy more of a challege PD: elden ring is my first souls so feel free to leave your comment down and tell me if my opinion is valid

Morgott has the most cinematic boss fight imo. Feels almost like an anime fight when you and him are going back and forth

morgott was the hardest boss in the game for me so far (didn't do Malenia and did mainquest till including fire giant but did Radahn, Rykard and Renalla) because i was really under leveled (or maybe just under equipped) so I would die like 7-10 times and just go and farm runes then try again and repeat.

Fell omen took me about 100 tries I 1 shot this form, using double bladed swords pole blade and god skin peeler

Same, just beat him first try with +17 nagikitana and lvl 90. I should've come there sooner I guess, but then again these flying guardians are still unbeatable for me and they are guarding the entrance to the city XD

When I arrived here I was waaaay overleveld (132) and annihilated him without losing even one fifth of my hp😂

Took me 4 or 5 attempts, mostly because I was using summons and a faith scythe build, but still.

People saying he should be buffed or he is easy should face him at around level 60. Without summons fighting him was hell. As a melee when i get close i cannot even last for even 30 seconds. I had to maintain some distance from him and bait the same one or two moves. With limited health to not trade blows, one small mistake would get you stun locked to death. I struggled far more with him than Malenia.

Does anyone know what armor marz was wearing during their first attempts? It looks amazing and I want it for my new caster playthrough

Don't know about the body cause it isn't part of the set, but the hat is part of Alberich's set you find in Leyndell Royal Capital behind the gargoyle leading up to Godfrey golden shade, where a bunch of dogs are, and also where you invade the raging wolf with bernahl in the volcano manor quests

This is late. But sometimes fighting a boss I get them down where all it takes is one more hit then I died. Like the boss said “hell nah bitch”

Thisbf8ght and maliketh are my favorite bosses in the game so badass

Morgot is really easy. If you need help let me know, I go by "sir" ps5. Ps: edit, nvm I thought we were talking about the first time he shows himself. Nah yea this 2nd fight I got extremely lucky. Way harder than the fire giant that's for sure.

It's easy for most people since they enter the capitol with LVL 100, now Ive seen morgott is recommended to fight around LVL 50-60. Tried it yesterday and it was a pain

it took less than 10 try’s for me cause i was over leveled and had maxed out weapons 😭

The second one said not again😭

My weapon during this fight was Melina.. she got some moves😄 Is she a black knife? The way she moves

I beat him first try. On my mamas life bro. 41 vigor, an upgraded mimic tear, good armor, and a +9 night and flame sword. Yeah bro died fast.

Wow. Really, you are bragging about that. If I killed him that way I would be embarrassed to tell people. Sword of night and flame is stupidly strong asf. Mimic tear is strong enough by itself. Over levelled as well. I was over levelled as well but I was using Starscourge greatswords at level 100. But most people will be over levelled when fighting Morgott on their first playthrough since I do a ton of exploring on my first playthrough and I’m still on it. I’m stuck on Malenia currently for the past few days at level 140. Now take into account that just because I’m level 140 doesn’t mean I’m over levelled. I have most of my runes invested into stamina so I can wear all of radahns armor and so I can wield the meteorite staff along with the lions greatbow and the Starscourge greatswords. I would have around 35 vigor, 65 strength, 55 stamina and 20 intelligence and the rest of my stats are low. I’m using no summons and I’m not using any broken incantations or magic. I do use my meteor staff but I only use rock sling and gravity well as I don’t have intelligence to use the other meteorite spells. I nearly defeated her altogether but I died. I got the healthbar to the stage where it was under the second “a” in Malenia, Goddess of Rot. I won’t resort to cheese tactics or resort to using summons as there’s no better feeling than soloing a boss you’ve been stuck on for ages.

I think Morgott should have been able to use the spear without throwing it, maybe as a front sweeping attack that was difficult to dodge to make up for his easy difficulty.

He was the hardest boss in the game for me. I was level 60 or so with a knights greatsword, no summons. Didn't even struggle as much on melenia with the same setup. Not sure why he felt so hard for me.

I got this guy in a good 4 tries. Honestly atleast imo I didn't find it all that entertaining with some of them that were either like asmon (overleveled and using an arguably very OP pve weapon) or used the best summons to carry them (gab)

I straight 3 v 1'd him and bodied him second try with my Darth Maul cosplay and Mimic tear. Also summoned the healer chick 😂

Seeing xqc’s attempts vs everyone else’s against morgott kinda just let me know that A - colossal swords are in fact, terrible against this boss B - I might’ve actually been under leveled for him C - respecking was a good idea (I switched to a blood loss hook-claw build)

Actually there is not two of him they're actually three of him the third one is out an open Battlefield he pretending to be a small dude get close enough to him he starts talking and turns into the third one

Its a shame that Morgott is a bit too easy. I went in underleveled and with the Greatsword and got him second try. I hope the DLC could give us a harder version of him, like Dark Souls 3 with Gundyr and Championship Gundyr. Maybe because it took me two hours to beat Margit at level 10 I understood Morgott very well, but it was just too easy.

I had +15 nagakiba, and i would buff it with blood flame or any greases, but this guy took me too long . I think it took me 50 tries.

i maybe overlevelled when I fought him as I won first try. My 2-hit bloodhound fang (+9) skill hits like a truck against him.

@@idiotreplies358 yeah I was 70ish with 30 str and close to 30 dex. Took me 50 hrs to reach leyndell so i was petty decked out when I fought golden godfrey and morgot.

On my very first run on morgott I beat him in 2 tries. No guides on KZread or anything. All it took was 2 tries. Also elden ring is my first souls game. I'm pretty happy since it happened today.

Yeah, morgott is pretty weak if you level properly but if you don't he is a pain but not too big of a pain.

I found this boss kinda easy but then I again I beat him when the moonveil was in its prime so I hardly even saw most of his moves😂

I killed godfrey(gold version) and then margott both on my first try with the Great Stars weapon with wave of darkness aow. They were both pretty easy bosses and im amazed when people claim they’ve been stuck on them for hours and I just get completely flabbergasted. I just dont understand. You kill margit twice so you have plenty of practice so what exactly makes this boss so hard?

Nah he's just way to overleveld. If you know what to do you can get the Bossweapons/special Weapons +9, which is near max level before even fighting him.

@@HandsomeGamerGuy +9 weapons are just too good for all these fights. I had a bloodhound fang that was +9 because I just explored a lot and I just melted Morgott. Probably took less than 8 hits thanks to bleed and the stagger of that weapon on him was ridiculous. Margit was very tough for me though. However if I did not do Ainsel river main for the somber stone 7 I would have had to fight him with a +6 and probably would’ve struggled a lot.
