Gamechanger Plasma: How to Be Advanced

Музыка

Here’s 5 pro-tips for taking advantage of how unusual the Plasma is. Some of these sounds push the boundaries of what a distortion pedal is typically thought of as being. Settings and timestamps below.

    I much prefer the "bad" amp sound before the plasma "improved" it...maybe because I ve spent the last 30 years using whichever amp was the loudest in shared rehearsal spaces. It just sounded familiar. ..

    Hey man thanks for checking it out. That last song has a Herbie Hancock vibe for sure but it’s actually my version of “Play with Me,” by Jeff Beck. I made some changes but you should check out the original, it’s one of the coolest songs ever.

  • @CyberattackWorld

    @CyberattackWorld

    I’ve always wondered when I’d have to reveal this. The current vocal setup is extremely low-tech: SM57 mic recorded with a Focusrite Scarlett, going into GarageBand and using their “Narration Vocal” preset. If this serves as an inspiration to my janky-voiced dawgs everywhere, I would love that.

  • @CyberattackWorld

    @CyberattackWorld

    3 жыл бұрын

    I haven't played one, but from reading the manual I think most or all of these sounds will be doable on the Coil, so yes. you might have to spend some time tweaking though.

  • @Davepotnoodle

    @Davepotnoodle

    3 жыл бұрын

    The Tesla coil is (from what I've read/ heard) a plasma pedal + some octave up/down options built in. So I'm pretty confident you could get all these sounds, except maybe the Pre-amp one because I'm not sure if the tesla coil has a clean through switch like the plasma...

    Really good point

  • @darthzen

    @darthzen

    2 жыл бұрын

    The big difference that would stop you is that the Tesla Coil does not have a blend knob. It’s 100% wet 100% of the time. So, your EQ/boost trick wouldn’t work.
