To give the benefit of the doubt to game sonic. The reason why we never see him do the cool feats as archie sonic is because he is never put up to those standards. We won't know for sure who is stronger because we can't put him to the test. The games are controlled to be for your enjoyment and you can't really see what cool feats he truly has to offer.

Ian disowned the Ken Pender era feats due to them being "too broken" as he wanted Sonic to be more limited and easier to quantify which is why in the Post Genesis Wave, Archie had the same abilities as game. This Encyclopedia will potentially she'd more light on the game verses abilities. Can't wait to buy it.

Well there’s a thing called “death of the author” where if the author says something that contradicts their work then his statement is invalid which is why people are allowed to be skeptical of him saying game sonic and Archie are equal because if it turns out to be wrong his statement is invalid. @A guy with an anime Profile Pic Because I can While word of god does hold wait canon wise, it can’t be used in power scaling debates if it contradicts their work because again “death of the author”. For example one writer for dragon ball super said that goku couldn’t destroy a universe Unless he’s a god of destruction but one fan told him of the narrative statements that said that goku could in fact do it and that author conceded, that’s an example of death of the author.

I was thinking like one of those fights that delves into both Sonic's and their differences and how they fight, along with their histories being mentioned in some way. Sort of like the Super Goku vs GT Goku fight made by Hyourinjutsu. At least that's what I think.

Great video but I think you underestimated Game Sonic in the skills and abilities section. Sonic Wave, Sonic Wind, Soul Surge, Time Break, Sonic's swordsmanship, and the Insta-shield I think puts Game Sonic in a superior league. Like, if you think about it, archie sonic could simply phase/not damage Sonic if game sonic repeatedly timed his insta shield properly to ward off his attacks, while Game Sonic can instantly counter as archie Sonic misses. Should archie sonic try attack again, he can also use magic hands to trap Archie in a magical ball. And if both had went Super Sonic, I still believe that game Super Sonic could utilise the same moveset to combat the faster archie super sonic.

I honestly if we do actually give them both all the cool stuff they have then they would reach to stalemate. They're both sonic and like i said before not enough tests for game sonic to truly prove his worth. Many of the things that game sonic has could actually potentially put archie sonic down. Both are sonic so they know how they would act, therefore I still think it would be a draw. Let's not also leave out hyper. We don't even truly know how strong that dude is since he only appeared in one game.

Tbh, the Sigma fight wasn't a fair comparison at all. Sigma got his power source cut off thus weakening him, and then Super Sonic and Megaman comes in and start wrecking him. That ending is one of the most rushed and anti-climatic endings I've ever read. I was seriously expecting an epic final battle between gods in that crossover, but NOPE. Which is why I must ask you to not use Sigma as a comparison, cuz the fight was rushed and unfair.

I think Archie is still stronger than Game Sonic, but I think there's a chance game sonic could surpass Archie in time. They are already equal in speed level which is immeasurable.

Archie sonic becomes ultrasonic when sonic taps into 1 super emerald. And we already know that 1 super emerald is stronger then all 7 chaos emeralds. Ultrasonic having the ability to- warp reality, open a portal to the zone of silence, and is a matter manipulator or in other words he can move things at a molecular level or change structures of non-living matter. Like i said earlier sonic only taps into 1 super emerald in order to transform into ultrasonic. Hypersonic having the ability- well that’s something we can’t determine since hypersonic only appears in one game cuz sega says hypersonic is too dragon ball related. But we can use feats that supersonic has pulled in the games like sonic generations, sonic 06, sonic rush games, and sonic unleash. Another thing I want to point out dark Gaia is NOT WEAK. Although supersonic did one-shot dark Gaia in order to defeat or kill him in the process, dark Gaia has been shown to WEAKEN the chaos emeralds in sonic unleash making them completely useless throughout the entire until the final boss fight. Another thing I want to point, while Archie sonic taps into 1 super emerald in order to transform into ultrasonic, sonic has to tap into 7 super emeralds in order to transform into hypersonic. Obviously 1 super emerald is stronger than all 7 chaos emeralds, but having all 7 super emeralds is massively stronger than 7 chaos emeralds and stronger then 1 super emerald. With that we already know that game sonic surpasses Archie sonic if sonic were to use hyper, while Archie sonic were to use ultra. Ultra has shown interesting feats like warping reality which makes ultrasonic 11D, and since hypersonic is proven to be stronger than ultrasonic by tapping into 7 super emeralds, hypersonic should be scaled around the level of ultrasonic, if not possibly higher.

Game sonic doesn't have complex multiversal feats while archie super sonic alone does the highest game sonic has is high multiversal(Solaris, Erazor Djinn) while archie is complex multiversal as he has feats that make him complex multiversal as he defeated god sigma who was at least hyperversal(as he was beyond all realitys itself)(comics man I tell you lol they are crazy)as he completely bodied archie super sonic and megaman but after sigma loses the infinity engine he doesn't have infinite powe but he would still be hyperversal as he would still have that power archie sonic and megaman body him! Ultra sonic is Archie Sonic's most powerful form. It is not wielded by game Sonic. Game Sonic only go Dark, Super, Hyper( if it is still canon for Sega) and Darkspine. Further, according to SCP lore, SCP-682 can regenerate and adapt to Sonic's attacks.

You didn't even mention ultra sonic which would shit on sega sonic well at least because hyper was removed from the canon of sega sonic or else he might have stood a chance

Archie Sonic has many speed feats that will make Game Sonic too slow. Getting up from stopped time, running the Comic Interstate multiverse less than a day, running around the world multiple times in seconds during the Ken Penders era. Dodging raindrops (Fast reflexes) Game Sonic is strong but not in the overpowered level of Archie.

No it's not, what are you on about? Ultra Sonic is made by Sonic collecting high amounts of Power Rings or being in contact with Super Emeralds. One Super Emerald was able to grant Sonic his Super form, the Super Emeralds are what created Hyper Sonic. So both Hyper Sonic and Ultra Sonic are infinitely more powerful than Super Sonic. Remember, one Super Emerald allowed Sonic to use his Super Form, Hyper Sonic is made using 7 Super Emeralds...

dude, no (1 super emerald is equal to super sonic for some time then downgrading to ultra sonic) and we know that ultra sonic is weaker than super because, number 1 ultra sonic is a transformation that can activate by rings, super sonic is one too but it wastes so many rings that sonic hasnt been able to do that himself

Ultra Sonic can be achieved if Sonic collects a lot of Power Rings. The Power Ring are made from the power of a Super Emerald, which has infinite power. Also, Hyper Sonic is more powerful than Ultra Sonic and Super Sonic. The Super Emerald allowed Sonic to use his Super form, and that was just one Super Emerald. Hyper Sonic is the result of 7 Super Emeralds...

That's literally the equivalent of saying Ultra Instinct Goku is weaker than Super Saiyan 1 Goku because he doesn't have blonde hair anymore. Ultra Sonic is capable of moving faster than Super Sonic, and has the ability to control the bond of local atoms, he can manipulate non-living matter by changing it's molecular structure. He can turn air into a wall of water or a blast of fire.
