I hate when people say Game of Thrones is a show for boys/men, when it has the most complex female characters in both fiction and television.

@@animalobsessed1 I have been told that. Some people were kinda shocked when they found out that I am a fan of GOT. For them, a girl should not see things like rape, torture, war or murder. It's apparently "for men".

What is that Shakespeare quote? "Hell is empty , and all the devils are here. " G.R.R. Martin writes such kickass women, and you managed to capture them all! *LOVE IT!*
You know it's a good feminist story when you don't realize how much in the show is about women. GRR Martin writes fantastic characters.
So many wonderful women and you've done a fantastic job balancing their scenes! I particularly love the cut from Sansa slapping Robin to Catelyn slapping Roose; like mother like daughter!

I loved Catelyn but she raised Sansa to be naive. I blame her for Sansa's early behavior and what befell her. She didn't teach Sansa the truth. What Ned did with Bran and the beheading of the guard is how Cat should have been with Sansa.

@@lisag5002 I 100% agree, but you have to remember that that was what was expected of a lady of a noble house. They're supposed to be demure and docile, and not face the reality of the world because it's not "ladylike". Catelyn had raised her to be a proper lady, and it screwed her over in King's Landing.
I guess the Ladies in Game Of Thrones very smarter than Men ... amazing job 👏👏

@@bobdasolidao6026 I agree they ruined Danny. I knew she'd become a genocidal psycho inevitably but they needed another full season to get her there and make it realistic. Should have been a whole season of Danny vs Cersei and then the season of the dead vs humans and Danny's downfall during that having gone mad in her war with Cersei. I do have to say though, obviously most the women had to suffer and have meh endings, same as the gay characters etc. As in a world like that, a medieval world. They simply had it harder than the straight white man.

Isabella of Castile? Anne of Brittany? Elizabeth Tudor? Mary Stewart? Margaret of Austria? Louise of Savoy? Christine de Pizan? Should I keep going? Next time you (or anyone reading this, really) find yourself in a Barnes and Noble, check out "Game of Queens" by Sarah Gristwood. Check out "Blood Sisters". There's no damn way, absolutely none, that I'm letting the writers' treatment of its female leads get off THAT easily just because it's set in a medieval world. Nope. Hard nope.They didn't have to do what they did to Dany, let alone the WAY they did it. They chose to, and I have my theories regarding why.

It had nothing to do with being a female. She simply came from a long line of incestuous crazy people. Most antagonists in the show were men. Not every woman should have a fairytale ending cause she is a woman.

Not really. Most of the men were dead ....Sansa and Arya are not evil. Cercei was always ruthless, Jon is a Mary Sue. Daenerys going 'mad' doesn't even seem 'evil'.

@@jamiemohan2049 true. Danaerys going "mad" has been a long time coming. It was super rushed in the series so it seemed like it came out of nowhere but it's a lot more gradual and detailed in the books if you pay attention.
YESSSS! That was absolutely badass and so flawless edited! Loved every second in it but my favorite parts are the intro and 2:12-2:21. Stunning parallel! Well done! The women in GoT are so amazing.

okay. This was excellent. I am ecstatic! The best visual editing I have ever (yes EVER) seen in a GoT amv. The timing of the cuts and the way they transition is really phonomenal. Lovely. The only thing is that the volume of the contrasting audio (the sounds/dialogue from the show and the music) was both too loud, drowned each other out and made it hard to listen to, but other than that I am quite impressed.

especially when viserys smacks dany and immediately cuts to viserys falling dead with gold on his head. And when Arya vaults the railing and it cuts to Sansa jumping off the wall. And "we will burn you first" cuts to the dragon fire when the beat drops. Chills.
