Yea i guess he wasn't really thinking of their family bloodline more so just the girls and making sure they were safe, he became their guardian of sorts. He was a complex character in that he was a good man who committed evil deeds but by the end he had found some redemption through the Starks and killing his brother.

If you really think about it, The Hound was key in saving all of the living from the Night King. Arya would not have survived without his protection and learned his ways for her to become an assassin who eventually killed the Night King.

Little wolf learning from the hound, what a story

The Hound has his good and bad side but to me he still remains one of my top favourite characters in this series, he just feels so real. And I love his relationship with Arya, he acts like her father even if she can't see it most of the time, those two make a great duo. SPOILER!!! I hear the actor who plays Sandor was spotted at a hotel in Belfast where the cast usually stays. I hope it's true that he's going to be back in the show, I was so sad at the end of season 4 when he was dying.

+Ella Kit Jump on the Clegane Bowl hype train. Rumor has it Sandor Clegane as the Gravekeeper will serve as the septom's champion in Cersei's trial by combat, which mean's he is fighting Ser Robert Strong, Gregor. Would be pretty rad.

The Hound and Arya were the best characters in the whole series. I just love he is compassionate to the stark girls, calling Arya "Little Girl" or "Girl" and calling Sansa "Little Bird". He had something paternal in him.

When the Hound sees what the Freys did to Robb and his Direwolf, it's like he's saying "what the fuck is wrong with these people?", which is saying a lot coming from the Hound

Whenever this man comes on screen it's *fucking gold* he always spits truth and reality to face and has the greatest fight's throughout the whole series

Gotta give it to Lancel, for as Weasley as he was , he went out pretty boldly to fight at the black water

Tbh he wasn't even that weasly. I can't remember him personally doing anything that messed up, he was just constantly being taken advantage of by the people around him. First by Cersei, then by Tyrion, and then finally by the 7

It's interesting in retrospect, now we know how compassionate the Hound is to the Stark sisters, that Littlefinger would go out of his way to paint him as such a formidable person.

such a good knight of the realm, bowed when his king said stop even though his big ass brother was swinging at his head, protected a shit king, saved a lady in destress, and motivated his men to not die with a clean sword. RIP Ser Sandor Clegane!

I hope he somehow survived and comes back later in the series he's such a great character

Bit of a late response but I actually did check it out back when you mentioned it but anyway I think it's a cool theory and plus with what they're doing with the sparrows in the show it would definitely make sense my only issue with it is that he wouldn't be the same character still a fucking beast but different personality wise which was a huge part of why I loved him in the show but still I'll take anything as a long as he's back I hated the way he died

The Hound is misunderstood, he is a good guy that has seen the ugly side of Knighthood and following orders. He is put in bad situations yet he always want to help others when he can

The Hound was my favorite character. I hope somehow they bring him back, I don't even care if its in a chessy way. He was 100% truth with no compassion for the weak. He knew the world that he was living in, the violence that people are capable of, he was never delusional in the role that he had in the world. He was built to kill. Only in the end did we really get another side of him, a somewhat teacher role. Would have loved to see how much more he could've taught Arya on how to survive and fight.

The Guterall noise the Hound makes when he splits someone in half is perfect for his character and makes for fantastic viewing.

Never thought about it before but it’s interesting how Sandor believes he’s a terrible person but only he’s the one that can’t see that he’s actually a great person with great morals. Out of all The GOT characters, he always did what’s right no matter the consequences. He always did what was morally correct regardless of who it involved. A true knight in every aspect

I like the hound because under all that violent actions he really is honorable and has a good heart. The exact opposite of his brother.

The hound probably is one of the most moral and sensible characters in the series outside of Tyrion and the Starks

The hound is such a well written, dynamically deep character. Love his abrasive, yet will intended attitude.

In my opinion, one of the best of a great cast of actors. He truly made the character his own.

Just finished Season 4. I don't spoil anything, but I think The Hound is absolutely one of the best characters in the whole series. "King Jeoffrey's greasy cunt" was one of the most hilarious I've ever heard, I don't know why.. "Brienne of FUCKING Tarth" .... The Hound Rules!

Bronn, Tyrion, and the Hound are 3 of the best antiheroes I've ever seen created.

Let's all hear it for Rory McAnn, gotta put some major respect on his name, on and off screen he's been a delight to experience.

The Hound represents that fierce warrior inside each real man to protect weaker ones he sees as in his charge.

Joffrey trying to break free of the hound while demanding everyone around him be executed is a perfect example of his character. Your guards are being murdered, the citizens are attacking you and you want to stand in front of them and demand their death

Should've put the part in where they announce the trial by combat and Cleagane starts mocking them, he sya "is the little girl the bravest one here?"

The Hound and the Mountain stole the show for me. In particular the Hound. I guess, he is an anti-hero. When they both fall, it is so poetic. A tear went down my cheek and I clapped alone at home. It was awesome.

Throughout the early parts of the show he's only referred to as the Hound and as his story progresses and he does more to redeem himself, people begin referring to him as Clegaine to the point that nobody really calls him the Hound anymore. That's character progression.

I like how bronn saves his arse at the Blackwater not long after they nearly killed eachother in the bar and then immediately shows off his knife skills in close range fighting

He's my favourite character in the whole show, He's an asshole and full of bad temper but he somehow ends up doing the right thing and redeems himself. I would even go as far as to consider him as a rolemodel.

the hound is not a good person. hes a survivor. if you really think about it, that is why you love him. sure, he has a sense of humanity, but then again, what less would u expect from anyone else? because we don't see him beating children and raping women, and occasionally offers a hand or word of advice to a fellow human, we tell ourselves we like him because he "has a heart". In reality his bad deeds greatly outweigh his good ones, and he is just the perfect example of a man that understands good and evil, but above all understands how the real world works, and does whatever necessary to survive. if you look at all his "good deeds" you can never really say for sure that hes not doing them just because he knows it can lead him to some kind of payday.

Sandor was a flawed person. Yet, when I think about it we all are.He has power and he did not use it within the realm of honor. In the end however we see who he really is.We learn he is on a path of redemption. One would hope Sandor isn't dead and he will redeem himself by destroying his brother.

GrimDontGiveAFuck i cant really give away any "spoilers" because i dont know any.. but after some reading i was glad myself to see that in the books it is "hinted" that Sandor survives. supposedly he makes it to some isle where he is helped by monks and starts a new life, whereby "the hound" dies and Sandor starts anew. Not sure really sure how GOT could possibly incorporate that bit, but its at least good to know that in some way, in some fictional universe, Arya refusing to mercy kill The Hound results in his ultimate survival.

GrimDontGiveAFuck yea i can understand not bringing the zombie Cat into the mix, considering in the books she really is just on some sort of random killing spree that would be difficult to tie into the GOT story line.. But the Mountain is definitely going to be a zombie. I feel like they are going to let us fans down way too hard if they don't at least figure how to bring back the Hound to fight his brother. And from what I can tell, it is entirely possible.. One strong possibility is the two will fight in a trial by combat, Cersei being who the Mountain fights for of course. i get a brain boner just thinking about that one.

There is The Lone Wolf and Cub, and then there's The Lone Hound and Wolf Cub.

Sandor and Gregor has such a great story behind them, would like to see more from house Clegane.

I love that The Hound is visually the last person we’d want looking after the Stark sisters (terrifying, hardened and deadly), but ended up being the exact person we wanted looking after those girls. Fearless, kind, and had a lot to teach them. Even dogs are welcome to wolves.

Sandor is the real hero of this story.

After this story, Littlefinger refused to talk normally for the rest of his life; only speaking in a weird hushed tone.

He and Ser Jorah Mormont I was saddened the most alongside Dany. What a journey

My favorite character in the show and maybe my favorite character in any show, period.

hound and eddard were my favourite characters and i would like to see them fighting together, which is impossible. i love that feeling when i imagine them fighting together..

8D I love every moment with Arya and the Hound.

Good writing scaring sansa into fearing the hound while all the knights in king landing wear dying when she first had to really trust him. Intresting.

The pairing of Arya and The Hound is the best part of the series...It's an old theme...Leon The Professional or a hundred years ago Charlie Chaplin and The Kid...or Jackie Gleason in Gigot back in the 60's or Beauty and the Beast... Pairing a down & out type of grown man who can barely care for himself, suddenly thrown into a situation of choosing to take up the challenge of caring for a waif, which brings out the true nature of the "beast".

The hound is a shining example of chaotic good.

I love the detail they put on the hounds costume, the dents on the body armour etc.

Look at Arya listening intently as Littlefinger tell Sansa the story of the Hound, if only she knew of her future path.

In den Büchern ist viel besser geregelt. Woher sollte "Erklärfinger" Sandors Geheimnis wissen? In den Büchern erzählt Sandor sein größtes Geheimnis allein Sansa.

The Hound is simply the best, I like him alongside Jon Snow, Tyrion, Jaime, and Bronn. They're all awesome! (If you exclude Jaime's....um lover)

These two had the best character arcs and growth in the entire series.

The Hound's weird bow-dodge against the Mountain was really silly.

Those two guards were so relieved when the king shouted, "Let him go!"

The Hound is easily one of the best characters in the show if not the best. I was genuinely disappointed when I thought Brienne killed him.

The lack of helmets really really bothered me and still does. Especially with how cool the Hound's helmet is

Aryas face in the last clip. You can tell she thought killing him for mutilating her brother would somehow make her feel better but it didn’t. Damn, the acting in this show is so on point.

The hound was my favorite character even at season 1 I knew he would become my favorite.

Crazy how we hated him at first and loved him by the end.

I love Sandor 'cause he's human. conflicted. Not the usual Clegane's we're used to. His job sucks, his past sucks, his future looks bleak. A sad guy. also, his crush on Sansa Stark reminds me of me. Pining for the girl above your station.

I like The Hound best because he is most likely to be involved in some action, almost all the other characters talk too much in my opinion. I like my swords and sorcery to be more action packed. Glad you liked it.

I will never get over what they did to this show. I'm more upset then some breakups 😂
