I played Ernie Hudson's wife in this movie and to be honest, I never watched it until now. It was so emotional playing the character that I couldn't bring myself to watch the film. I know it might sound crazy, but it's true. I'm glad I finally took the time to check it out. I think we all did a pretty good job. I'm proud of it.

You did a damn good job.

I am a domestic violence survivor. My husband (at that time) choked me unconscious, broke my right leg, and worse, the State of Georgia failed me when they closed a attempted murder case and gave my husband full custody of my son to him. I was bitter and full of hate for 13 years. By the Grace of God and surely His Mercy God forgiven me and helped me to forgive. I'm at peace. 🤗.

More movies like this should be made in the time's we live in,I'm going through a very hard and difficult time in my life,when you're on the side of pain and your family has been hurt or ripped apart by evil it's very hard to keep your faith, there's so many questions of why,how,you blame yourself and you feel forsaken at time's,but I know that I have to keep holding on to believing that the Lord is fixing it and in the end all will be well,if anyone reads this please say a prayer for my family and expesially my grandchildren, movie's like this help to strengthen your hope in dark time's.

Connie Lambdin ~ I'm a White man originally from Georgia and a Nam Marine vet, as well as a member of Church of Christ. Believe me, I know the power and grace of Jesus Christ. I accepted the Lord as my Savior at age 18, and the Lord has seen me thru Nam combat, and 5 severe car accidents that could have killed me. But Jesus has walked with me and got me thru it all . Including my first marriage of 24 years that ended in a heartbreaking divorce, then a second marriage to a very special lady who helped me become a forgiving and better Christian. Yes, forgiving is very very hard and took me a long time. She was such a perfect wife for only 7 years and I almost committed suicide, two months after the Lord called her home, ~ but again Jesus was there with me ! And I recently lost my 96 year old wonderful father, who is now in heaven reunited with my mother and second wife Sylvia ~ I had to watch her, care for her, love her, give her an emergency insulin shot in 2008, and watch her die from diabetes in 2010. But I look back over the fantastic memories, and realize Jesus has been watching over me thru all that, for everyday of my 75 years and given me so much grace ! In November,2014 surgery to put a stent for an anuerism in my aorta, January,2015 surgery to remove my right kidney for cancer, and June,2016 open heart triple by- pass .Only by the grace of Jesus I got thru Nam, 5 car wrecks, 3 major surgeries. I am so sorry for the hard times and pain in your family, and I've had the same questions you have had ! But I know the power of prayer, and now a month later I hope and pray you receive my prayers to hold on to your faith, and know God loves you and will comfort you ! Now (April 8,2022 at 8:40 a.m.) and for evermore ! May the good Lord keep you in faith, love, safety and good health ! Please take care and always live in God's love. This is my prayer for you and your family ! God bless you ! This movie had me crying all the way thru it, so powerful the message ! Blessings be upon you and all your family ! AMEN ! SO BE IT !

Forgiveness?? It should have never happened in the first place. These Racist people killed his family for no reason..

"Gallow Road" is very heart touching. It's so sad that people are still this evil today to want to hurt innocent people; to try to destroy someone's peaceful family. Hard situations are so difficult to forgive but in time God is able to help us heal and forgive so we can be free within.

This is an awesome movie. It is really hard to forgive someone who has taken everything from you. I know this firsthand. I carried this hatred for almost 30 yrs and God showed me how to forgive. That forgiveness released my burden and took away that bondage that held me prisoner by that person. What a wonderful God we have. ~Just wish there weren't so many ads during the movie. Makes it hard to watch~

@@JohnDavis-yz9nq Definitely those elements are true. And praise is an extravagant, joyfull, exuberant, celebration of God. He is enthroned or inhabits the praises of His people according to Ps 22:3. Praise is also warfare. It is a weapon. One of the aspects of the black people all over the world is that they have a warrior spirit. So when it is translated into spiritual warfare which requires submission to God, meekness & a child like heart. You have a very powerful warrior. Who can rip through any dark or heavy atmosphere with praise that draws the presence of God. Resulting in an open heaven in that place.

Rather disorderly. And the Lord's instructions on collective worship include order. 'Black churches' used to not be like that but there's definitely a growing tendency towards this phenomenon. Folks who think we'll be doing that in heaven must study Revelation. May the Lord bless us with discernment and wisdom.

I see a lot of comments about the important message of forgiveness in this movie. That’s all well and good, but the fact that this level of racism and hatred still exists is appalling. This scenario played out countless times in the 50’s and 60’s, but it is frightening to think that there are still people who think and behave this way in this day and age… The U.S. is supposed to be a shining example of freedom and democracy, yet the rest of the world sees the continued racial inequalities and violence as a shameful failure.

Did the wife just go back inside and then ignore what was going on, why didn’t she get the kids up and go out the back door? So the deputies arrested the other brother but the crooked sheriff keeps his job? I love all the heart felt comments but aren’t there just too many loose ends and too many baddies not brought to justice to say there was a great happy ending?
