The way Doc handled you interrupting him all the time with your egg breath is worth an Goldmedal
For a successful business owner, this guy has no ego on him. Just a nerd geeking out over some cool games.

Doc seems like a cool guy. He kind of looks like Glenn Danzig..
IF there was ever an arcade game, about a guy who had his own arcade game. This would be that guy. He's like time travelled out of the 80s to bring it's awesomeness to everyone today, like Bill n Ted style booth style.
I really like what Doc is doing here, he's reintroducing the golden age of gaming to the mainstream casual audience. That's a great thing.
I was there about a month ago. Amazing arcade!
as 40 year old man. The kid in me Love this!
I honestly hope this place is open for the next 50-100 years! Easily the most impressive arcade in the world. Doc is insanely knowledgeable and you can see how much he truly cares about the preservation of arcade games.

As a regular at Galloping Ghost (it's 5 minutes from where I work), I have to say that this is an absolute nirvana for retro enthusiasts. One of my recent trips there I met the world's #2 ranked Centipede player, and watching him on his game was like watching a maestro at an instrument. It was a thing of beauty, one of many fond memories at the Ghost.
Arcade looks amazing. Also, the fact that Glenn Danzig runs the place is the icing on the cake;-)
Doc is a cool dude.
I hate the way the interviewer basically isn't listening and keeps interrupting some interesting points

what do you want a in depth review of each game and 6 hour video? plus his camera can only shoot so much and they have a shit load of games.
What a incredible place and their work to preserve all the stuff and bring to life unreleased games is amazing.
Man this really makes me miss the 90's. I grew up in arcades back in the day. I absolutely loved going in them spending hours playing games like Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, Cruisin USA, Dayton USA, etc etc.
Mr. Doc Mack. If you are reading this you are the American Dream brother! Much succsess in your future! The heart shows!
That was my Shadow Dancer that Doc bought from me at 15:45 :)
the knowledge of the owner is unreal.
I can't understand why anyone who was interested enough to watch the video based on the title, would have the audacity to dislike it. Galloping Ghost Arcade is absolutely incredible. I am seriously considering going to Chicago just to go there. Side note: my grown up mind just wondered what the electric bill is each month.
You can tell the dude with the mic never owned a sega saturn or sega dreamcast. he walked pasted battle garegga , golden axe duel, tech romancer and radiant silvergun like it wasnt shit
this doc guy is a fricking hero!
Can i give this arcade a million thumbs up?
I didn't realize Glenn Danzig was into arcade games.

No shit! I wish I lived in Brookfield I would go there EVERYDAY I would work there! These guys should franchise and spread across the US like wildfire! I just played Mystic warriors the other night on Mame for 5 hours if you like Sunset Riders you will like Mystic Warriors, 5 ninjas to pick each with a unique close range and far range weapon. One of the ninjas uses his hair for his close range. That F-Zero AX is effin SICK! F-Zero is one of my fav racers I have all of them I hope they make a new one for switch AX and it's GCN version GX were the last ones. I shouldn't of watched the end of this video I am on a diet where I cannot have bread or hot dogs for that matter and it just made me jealous lol.

funspot cant hold a candle to galloping ghost! Doc does a great job of expanding his arcade empire! I've been out here in Chicago for 2 years and have been a loyal customer to the ghost ever since I came out here. He is going to open a pinball location with 30 pinball machines sometime next year. $20 gets you in the door all machines are free play and they close at 2 am 7 days a week.
Amazing arcade, reminded me how it was back in the days. I wish we had more arcades like this one.
I'm definitely going to make a visit. Great arcade. Doc is a cool guy. He made a trip to help out Super Arcade at a court hearing. He spoke up , and explained the benefits of an arcade at the court hearing. The city didn't want to give Super Arcade a license for operation. The city felt that arcade's were not a legitimate business.

I remember that man! That was such bs gosh forbid someone open a new business provide jobs and add to the economy no sir. so stupid.
Utterly fantastic, best arcade tour ever, and what an amazing guy Doc is. Just loved how he talks about other arcades being a community instead of rivals.
Arcade heaven...
I could literally move to that town and be there daily.
I love how they have the rare, obscure, and prototype games that you rarely see or never heard of.
From a former Jr High custodian, if you need to remove gum from short carpet just turn a can of air upside down and spray the gum. Then scrape it with a putty knife. It freezes and becomes brittle so it scrapes off pretty easily.
Wow! Now I know where all the arcade machines went, when our arcades closed, here in MS. Thanks for the tour. Very cool! :)
I definitely have to come here. This is like heaven to me
I parked in that same parking spot. Doc is a great guy. He help me meet Jeff Lee on my birthday when I visited them.P.S. Todd from TNT amusements wants you to come visit.
Galloping Ghost Arcade should be a museum! It's so great that the arcade community is so friendly. I love that it's No Gum . . . ok , but no ketchup?

I don't know how I came to this channel, but man I am glad I found this vid. You Sir, have literally been in heaven (in case of games and and culinary point). These arcades represent so much, whether it is the art of the cabinets, the games, the sound, the atmosphere itself. I remember when I visited my family in the south of Spain, these places have been so much fun, also from a social point of view. Meeting people in real life, having a chat, playing coop (sometimes with random people), not close the same experience as the "online coop" experience today. A place like this deserves it to be kind a world cultural heritage. And what really impressed me in this video doc's authenticity refering the strong (not about competitiveness thinking) community within owners of arcades. This place is probably the first place I am gonna go to, should I ever make it to the USA. Well, and that hot dog place you showed :D. Thank you again sharing your exeperience with us and taking us on a trip showing us this place (which is kind like heaven).

helixdeslayer Yeah so it's a good story, we got the board from Shang Tsung himself (John:"Ooo what ms that? Tell me about darks talker, oh oh look it says sega , I like that." It's was cool seeing all these games though. And the owner looks just like a guy that worked an Arcade when I was a kid.
I havent been back home in long time . This arcade is amazing. Perhaps i need to fly back and go there. The pinball hall of fame here in vegas still going strong . John you should come back do a revisit.
Without this video, I would never have expected pre-packaged hard boiled eggs purchased at a gas station would be bad. Learn something new every day!
This Doc dude is cool af. What an amazing arcade.
I think the 80's vs 90's thing is because despite the boom of arcades in the 80's, arcade games really hit their stride in the 90's. Once home consoles became ubiquitous, general interest in going into an arcade spiked. I was a kid in the 80's during the original explosion and it was basically filled with the hardcore gamers of that time, whereas in the 90's you'd see more families or couples on dates hanging out. Throw that in with a bunch of us being in our mid to late 30's now and the market is basically primed to see the 90's games take off. I think in a lot of ways history is going to remember 1990-2000 as the actual golden age of arcade cabinets and not the late 70's to mid 80's that people consider it to be today. Great arcade tour, that place has basically everything I played or wanted to play.

Yes late 80s huge jump forward in arcade quality. Ghouls, Strider, etc.
Support the hell out of this place Chicago people, I live in Iowa and wish I could visit this place, no serious arcades anywhere around here. Very jealous and happy places like that exist. One day I will show up and play everything!
What an amazing place. Unbelievable amount of rare games. Thanks for doing this video and thanks to Doc for making it all happen.
I've never been there but just looking at the place I feel at home, amazing video!
Thanks for highlighting two of the best Chicago has to offer: Doc Mack's GGA and Gene & Judes!
1:20:30 A Super Mario Bros. cabinet. The first time in my life I had ever laid eyes on a video game back when I was 4 or 5 years old. The feels...
Incredible, thanks so much for doing this walk through and interview! I got to visit Galloping Ghost a few years ago and absolutely LOVED it!! An arcade gamer's paradise, for sure.
Beyond Impressive. My favorite arcade so far.

Well it's a good place for you then, they do have all the classics though i have to admit.
Doc was my IDOL growing up, met him when he was only 17 when he worked at Babbages in Summer 1994, MK2 WAS THE MOTIVE..GENESIS VS SNES VERSION!!! lol He seen it at E3, and that was IT!!! 😂 I'm so proud of him! I remember the day he first imagined Galloping Ghost and came up with the logo, he was only 17-18 yrs old, he called me that day we chatted for hours! He was Sega fanboy, i was on Sony's Pre-Ordered Hype-Wagon (summer of 1995)! BTW i WON EVERY ARGUEMENT, as 2018 CALLS on Doc to admit he was WRONG!!! 😂😂😂
So how many real arcade locations do we have left in the states? I'd have wished there was an official database for such a thing, but it's too bad we don't exactly have one when we really need it.
Galloping ghosts reproduction and restoration company will be amazing.
This is my favorite arcade tour on KZread, no question.

I am literally crying right now. When I die, I don't want to go to paradise, I want to go to Galloping Ghost Arcade.
I'm planning a trip to this arcade!
Doc Mack is the person I want preserving the arcade legacy. Thank you for what you do and the great video!
Fantastic video. Doc really knows his stuff.
Absolutely mindbogglingly amazing. What a treat, thank you John!!!!!!!!!!!
The arcades was a cultural revolution. Different experience from the home console. This guy is doing something special. I hope people support this place.
John do you have ADD? You seem very nervous and cannot stay focused.

+k5steel probably. :)
im so glad they fixed dragon's lair. last time I was there it was right under a celing light, and the screen was already dim, so it was impossible to play
He's got Time Traveler. Such a rare arcade to find these days
I was not a big fan of your first visit... but wow... this is amazing now.
I'm not even into video stuff, yet what a great thing for this guy to tour and go over it all. Compare this to other big time collectors, and presto this guy has the attitude, the dedication, and apparently the goods.
I like John....but hate the fact he hasn't heard of ones I thought we all played, and that he has to touch every piece of glass or clear plexi.
Fun Fact: John from John's arcade also owns the franchise Incredible Johns Pizza. At the age of 18 John launched a small pizza store with a few arcades made it into the monster chain it is today.

Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga sitting side by side. :0
I was there a few days ago. It’s truly unbelievable how awesome the place is. I was there for about 8 hours and I had played only a fraction of the games there. You could be there for days and not play every game
Fantastic arcade and such amazing rare games! Love watching the Monday mystery reveal and watch their arcade grow! Thanks for covering it.
Doc is fantastic. What a wonderful place. I'd never leave.
This is absolutely 1 of my most favorite vids of all time!!!!!! Ty!!!!!
That's just blown me away. Lost for words. Thanks john and Mark, I'm frickin hungry now though.

Awesome Video. I remember all or most of these games as a kid. Awesome to see the old arcades again.
I’m going there in my lifetime!! Looks amazing all the classics from the 80/90s, in most common arcades local. You don’t get much as you used to in the 90s but 622 games? Kidding me? Keep it up ;-) 😍😍😍

Around 658 now, they buy a new one every week.
John, What an amazing on the road! This is the future of content, long drawn out videos, people will watch it all too. You see "Joe Rogan Experience" Podcast, 3 to 4 hours long podcasts (biggest in the world), so don't think its "too long" ever, especially with your ability as a host to keep it interesting. Big fan from Canada of your music and videos (PS - Most content I watch and catch early blows up years later, I know you've been at it awhile but you'll be huge one day, remember this). Thanks again!!
This place looks magical.
I remember back in the 90's my friends, and I would spend hours at our local Arcade, playing Street Fighter, MK, killer instinct, metal slug, NBA Jam, just to name a few.
Doc has a great memory, I only own around 20 pcbs and can’t remember where half of them came from, thanks for sharing, great video dude👍
Wow that place looks amazing and it's so good to see so many one off's and special games in a place they will be well looked after.
Just went to this place for the first time a few weeks ago. It's 8 minutes from my work which is nice. This is cool to watch to learn about all the machines I had questions about.
This is one of the best video's I've seen. You could make dedicated videos on almost all these cabs.
This arcade looks amazing. I wish there were more of these around.
Well if I'm anywhere near Chicago I know exactly where I'll be spending as much time as possible! Haha awesome freaking video, a pleasure to watch. Subbed of course. Thank you guys for this video walkthrough, truly amazing to see these machines all in one spot.
Love this place and there’s an amazing burger place near by
So awesome, I need to visit this place. Brings back memories seeing arcades like this. Remember actually having to leave your house to game?
Doc Mack is the coolest arcade aficionado ever. I will make it a mission in life to visit GG and shake his gloved hand one day.
This was such an awesome video. Thank you so much for this. I absolutely loved it. I wanna go to this place.
Beautiful arcade machines.
This place is heaven and I`m 46..
Outrageous, and being friends with all the devs to get all those proto's etc is inconceivable. This is how FUnspot used to feel back in the 80's when i was a kid it was room after room floor after floor seemingly never ending crammed with games; then i didnt go for a while and went a few yrs ago and was shocked and crestfallen it was empty compared to back in the day. This guy knows every game's play as well as its lore, super knowledgable.
Doc is so awesome. Ever since my first visit in 2015, I make a visit once a year. I would love to go more often if it were possible.
What a great arcade!! I would love to see something like this in every state.
I was here the other day and it was so cool. Such an experience. I was there from 4PM till 11PM and wasnt bored for a hot sec.
Thanks to this video and owner Doc's SUPER dedication to this heaven I'm planning a trip there next month. Super excited! Need recommendations for food places close by. :)
Amazing arcade!!! I´ve never thought this kind of gems exist in the us ! this is beautifull!! greetings from México
Great video. I need to get out to Galloping Ghost. It's a five hour drive to Chicago for me, but we've certainly had some vacations there. John, I can't believe how many of these games you've never seen before. I used to frequent four or five arcades and I feel like I've had more exposure than you have haha. Thanks for taking the time to put this together.
I love this video, brings me back to skipping school and blastic through quarters.......thank you, I'm a new fan.
That was killer, every game had a story.
