We are fortunate enough to live very near to Monasterio de Santa María la Real de Osera. To give it the full name in Spanish. We have visited many times. Including to watch a concert by Carlos Nuñez in 2019 Architecturally it is very interesting with various dating from around the 10th century onwards. The history of the building is equally fascinating. Tours are held at certain times. Gifts form this and other monasteries in the Order of Cistercians can be purchased. The monk speaking at 7:55 is a very kind man. He would great us with affection when we visited. He gave my wife a small painting of his for her birthday on one visit. He was transferred form Oseira around late 2018. We was told he now in South America. I do hope he is a alive and well.
