Hey, thank you, I dont understand why android has decided to do this, but it's absolutely fucking stupid. You are the man. Can't believe I have to have it plugged in to access a feature I had without dev. Mode before. Why I need to have it plugged in is absolutely insane, I am not a fucking child, I understand the risks as I have half a brain; I can't believe you have to have it plugged in just to access a simple mode, absolute insanity, Imagine the people who called complaining they could have their phone on 24/7...An option that's optional and not on by default...I'm fucking baffled.

I don't know about the S22, but my S21 Ultra has an option in the screen timeout settings menu that keeps the screen on as long as you're looking at it. Maybe only the Ultra line has the feature? I don't think I had to unlock anything to get the option.

I actually needed the phone to go to sleep while charging. Somehow "Developer opitions" was activated but it was still always on. I had to activate Developer options and found out it was in "Stay awake" by default hence the always on effect I was having. Thanks.

Thank you, your video has helped a lot. It's such a joke that with the samsung 22 you have to have it on charge to watch anything.. I use my phone alot for videos with studying and doing meditation and breathwork and having to carry a portible charger or wireless charger everywhere I go is super ridiculous especially annoying if you don't have it. I just don't understamd why they wouldn't allow you to be able to turn the screen timeout completely off.

I use a battery case. I have 2 of them. I never charge my phone via cable I use the battery case. Battery case can charge by itself too. I’m the same… tons of vids, movies, meditation, breath work (wim hoff), sleeping vids/music etc.

Well.. I wish I could do it with battery.. Charging is not an option.. I want it to be awake on battery.

I did this now if my phone goes back to 30 seconds time out again I'm gonna be pissed off. People are asking how to keep the screen from timing out WHILE IN USE, not while charging.

I have the Note 20 Ultra. How do I keep the screen from timing out just while I am making a phone call. I hate when the screen times out and I am staring at a blank screen. It does on different Samsun phones.

After clicking build number 7 times where do you put in your pin number? There's no indication showing where a pin number goes.

Thank you this helps me because I have another problem with my phone that PREVENTS me from waking my phone from a closed screen. The power button and the screen double tap wont reopen the screen and i know my phone is still active. I can hear the phone calls but the screen stays black. I would restart the phone and use it flawlessly no problem... untill the screen closes just onces and i would need another restart to use it again. I've tried reinstalling old and new firmware on it and its still the same. Does anyone have an idea what may cause this? It is an A50. For now, I will use this method at home till i either fix my issue or get a new phone... Thx again.

IKR I love my Galaxy S20, but I have to recharge it fully at least once a day and again at night. I thought there was something wrong with my phone, and called Assurian, and the man I spoke to told me, "Ma'am, between you and me, I get this call at least twice an hour. The Galaxies are great phones except for the batteries, which are terrible. I'm afraid you'll just have to stock up on chargers and keep one with you at all times." 🤔 Pretty bad for a thousand-dollar phone.

I think what we need to do is boycott this company. If I can't use MY phone like I want it, it doesn't make sense to have this kind of phone. It aggravates the hell out of me when I'm on the phone, and it goes dim after 10 seconds and then goes completely out. I wouldn't be surprised if they are extracting your information while this is going on!

You have to choose a method to unlock your phone, i.e. pin, swipe, fingerprint, or face recognition. He uses a pin, so he had to enter his pin before making any developer changes. I used my swipe pattern.
