Met and picked my sortit cases for Ken himself. The inner core is stiff plastic - stronger than I expected! Paid full price and am still happy. This is a steal with the coupon code.

I've seen this done with the foam inserts that come with whatever you use it for. I think it is good to support the insiders, but for the price I'm going to have to continue to buy the harbor freight knock off pelican cases

well i love the Apache cases from Harbor and own at least 15 of them, but to be fair this is a different animal. If you're looking to store in milk crates, protect fragile kit and be able to stack in carts and shelving designed for industry standard crate sizes this is really a fantastic solution. To me it's pretty reasonable price; well made and will def last for years. The trekPAk for a pelican 1510 is like $150 and on another note, the first thing i do with my Apache cases is throw the pluck-n-pull in the trash - that lasts about 2 jobs... but the case itself pretty damn decent for the $.

Hey, Ken here with SIC. The price is not for everyone, that’s fair. But making a product in North America, I have to deal with supplier markup on the materials, the latest sewing machine I bought was $4200, and the price of labor (at an actual living wage) are the main reasons for the price. By “proper” markup rules, I don’t charge nearly enough; sad but true. And while they could be made in some distant country, I would rather employ my neighbours. Plus, there is no way I could afford to order a sea can worth of these. I hope some day you have a chance to play around with one of my cases; I’m sure you’ll understand me a bit more. Nothing but love.

I highly disagree with mojopapi here. The prices I see on the website seem fantastically reasonable. You're talking about storing expensive gear that you want to keep safe and organized. The price is very good in my opinion.
