Gosh Gael was one of my BIGGEST crushes in my 20s. Y tu mamá también, the motorcycle diaries, the science of sleep… I saw one of his films at TIFF a few years ago that unexpectedly turned out to have a q&a and Gael seemed to be just as charming as he seemed to be in interviews.

Fell in love with him during Mozart in the Jungle, as did everyone. Went on to see him in his other movies, he’s just compelling in all his roles.

He did a movie about the advertising campaign for the Chilean election that finally eliminated Pinochet. Sounds like a really dry boring movie right? Gael made it great! I think he can do anything.
