Did you have a check engine light? I have a '07 with 121,000 & just got done with a full tune up, oil, plugs, air filter & feel the power just isn't there anymore. I've expressed this & got told "Well it might be getting ready to code but untill it does you just have to wait". Wait, what? Wondering if this might force the ECU to reevaluate everything. Slip light flashes once in a great while too. So quick, ever so slightly. I missed it the first few times it did it. I was like what the hell just flashed on my dash?😂 I appreciate any insight from anyone else too 😉👍🏼

This car has only seen 93 premium, full synthetic oil changes and garage living since it’s been with us. what exactly happened to you're g35...? if you don't mind asking. My 2006 g35 x got the slip light on and the gas pedal is heavy with little rpm going like 5km/hr.

Thank you thank you thank you!!! I’ve been replacing every single part on this car and scratching my head for 4 whole months. I’ve replaced every single part on this car, blowing through money trying to figure out why my car would randomly go into limp mode without throwing codes or lights. I could drive for an hour or so and my car would go into limp mode and try to cut off if I didn’t hold it to idle at 1000 rpm, if I let the car shut off the battery would die! I replaced the alternator, battery, cam and crank shaft sensors, oil change, air cabin filter, spark plugs and coil packs, new bearings for both the main and ac pulleys along with the belts, reset tension on those along with many more fuses and relays and other parts. This is the only thing that has kept my car going. So again thank you for ending my headache. To anyone that has a g35 and can’t figure out wth is wrong with your luxury POS, try this before you waste money on all these parts like I did. Start here. If you still throw a code then look into the simple shit like the fuses and go from there and try again.

i am having break problems. i spent money on new parts and replaced everything and made sure the fluid was at max and bled properly. then my battery died. when i turned battery back on the brake pedal goes to the floor. i tried the ecu reset and it did not help. either i did the procedure wrong or its something else is wrong like a sensor. there are no brake or engine light on now but the brakes are very slow and may no stop the car. any clue to what is wrong with out a diagnosis scope?

idk what this did to my car but Jesus did it bring back some of its power , not completely fixed my exhausted still gets bubbly but after i just reset and got back from a drive around the block i could tell such a HUGE difference thank you!!!!!!

Worked I had hella of a time figuring out the order it’s press 5 times LET go for 12 hold it for 12 let go for 10 then hold for 10 and start it sadly my car died before I got to start it

I legit just changed my camshaft position sensors on my G35 2004, this last weekend. It ran great after. Took it around the black a bit. Let it sit for a coupla days. Took it our today, car loses power at a light and gives my slip VDC and Check engine again. About to try this next.

Help just for a used g37xs and kinda having the same issues. It giving me a pedal position error replaced it and still the same code comes on. Some days it doesn’t wanna start at all and if it does it goes into limp mode would the ecu reset if that? Is there a pedal position reset also?

I reset it but my cars still running rough, before I found your video it had a misfire in all cylinders I replaced the spark plugs cause they were fried! It started throwing cam codes after I tryed replacing them with aftermarket ones but code came back so I put the old ones back on. Any idea on why it’s still rough idling?

I need help man so i got this code along with cylinder 4 misfire and bank 2 o2 sensor. I recently bled the coolant' replaced both belts, cleaned out MAF sensor and throttle body and did a seafoam clean but my car is not really suffering performance issues or poor/bad start ups/idle. It idles perfectly at 650-750 I mostly bad gad economy which i can smell from the exhaust. I get average 14 mpg r n. Any reason why this is coming up ? I havent done the throttle body and idle relearn is that maybe the issue ?

My 2005 Infiniti G35x blicks for a little bit and then the light service engine soon light stays solid does anyone know what that means ?

I tried this on my 2002 Nissan Stagea RS250 VQ25DD engine with 130,000km and it appeared to work for a while. Normally it wont go above 1500rpm when the engine is started from cold but it started and appeared to run perfectly normally! I took it for a spin down the street and it felt awsome with lots of power and I thought awesome, problem solved, but then 500 metets later it when back to limp mode ie unable to go above 1500rpm or faster than 40kmh but interesting engine check light didnt come on. Bugger, problem not solved. I think after resetting the ecu and starting the car from cold the computer tries to adjust the valve timing but it fails to get the cam timing into the required position and after a short time gives up and goes into limp mode. What I have to figure out is why it doesn't do this when its fully warmed up, although ive noticed its been getting worse and worse over the last 7 years to the point where its almost going into limp mode even when its fully warmed up. When it first started doing it, it would remain in limp mode for a minute or so after starting from cold, and would stop doing it in less than 1km and with the engine still only half warm on the gauge. Over the years the distance got longer but now it barely stops doing it, and only when you have driven about 5 km and got it well and truly warmed up does it come out of limp mode. If it is to do with cam timing and stretched chain then Bloody computers trying to make it run efficiently when cold is the problem as I know it can run perfectly fine when cold as this test proved it.

This works for the 2008 G35 btw just simulate as if you were to be holding the key by pushing the to start button for a few seconds until the lights pop up.

My car is sputtering and soundes like it’s misfiring but it got no codes no check engine light and I’m so confused It’s like sounds like it’s misfiring and shakes

A lot can cause that. You can have a bad crank sensor, tps, maf, cts, loose connection, vacuum leak, loose intake, etc. Start with the simple things 1st

@@Longshlongjon22 I ended up replacing all of the sensors. Two of them didn't simply pull out as the 0-rings must have swelled and gotten hard. Had to pry them out.

Work for 5 minutes and my car went back to misfiring and into limp mode every time I repeat the process any ideas ? G37s

Check your brake fluid level, if it is low you will have VDC, SLIP, and BRAKE light on. Adding brake fluid takes off those lights permanently.

I have a 2003 Infiniti G 35 sedan. I ran through the reset, and it works. I ended up replacing both cam sensors and the crank sensor. I also replaced the coil pack and plug on number one. Still, Every time I start the car the slip and VDC codes come back. Plus, I used to just touch the key and it would start. Now it Has to turn over at least five times to start. Any thoughts?

Gad damn. Same thing here. Cam shaft pos sensor only code. Timing is out of whack, vdc slip, rough idle/misfire.

Does this method work for a 2012 G37s coupe??

It works. You just have to have the timing right on. Worked for my de G!

That cuts off the light but it doesn't fix the problem the problem still exists I've clean my throttle body my mass airflow sensor and I've clean my intake

I had/have a strange issue last nite, went to the game, saw the battery light just came on, shut off the 05 G35 watched the game, came out, No battery light on, went home, but a mile B4 I get home, It goes into Limp mode, got it home, this morning seems to be ok, my scanner wouldnt get past scanning though?

You alternator could be getting weak, the same thing happened to me. If it's not charging at 13 volts or above the battery light will come on. Infinities need alot of voltage, especially when it gets cold. Or you could have a loose cable. Load test your battery, alternator and check your cables. I believe your alternator is getting weak

If it doesn't work. Either you missed a step or your cam sensors can be bad. Have codes checked.
