Hey guys, I didn't mention this at the time of upload but depending on the LED rings you purchase you may have issues seeing the brakes or turn signals in the day time or direct sunlight, which is a safety issue. To remedy this, I recommend either purchasing higher quality LED's than I did (Diode Dynamics and Profile by Morimoto both make LED's that are visible in sunlight) OR leaving the turn signal and OEM brake light LED's intact when performing this mod.

What led rings do you highly suggest so they can see during the day and not have a issue ? Like brand

If ur using the brake circuit board would that mean ur halos would act as brakelights now aswell ? Without the tail as turn mod.

The Halos will indeed get brighter when you turn signal or hazard, and even brighter when you apply the brake.

I got a question bro what if I wanted to run that disc of leds with the halos not the circle disc but the other one can I just leave it and not cut it?

Correct, just don't cut the wires to the disc and it will work as per usual. Just saw your comment, I've been away from youtube for a while.

Did you ever upgrade your led rings? I did mine and like you mentioned during the day they are hard to see. During nightime i have no issues. Wondering what rings to get this time to make sure theyre nice and bright during daytime.

The ones I purchased are white, I was afraid red would not show up as well. I do plan on upgrading to Profile Prism halos in the future, and I will be using the white ones.

Do the halos shine brighter when braking?

Yes, they do. They have 3 different brightness settings, 4 if you count off. Running lights are lowest, then turn signal, then brakes are brightest. Just saw your comment, I've been away from youtube for a while.

All in all, the first attempt (rushed) took less than 12 hours. But the attempt you see here took over a week, but that's also because I was recording and redoing things. Just saw your comment, I've been away from youtube for a while.

So I did this and I wired to the black wires and it seems that maybe these wires get less power than the others because the halos are pretty dim and I noticed the black and white wire are a little bit bigger, not sure is this true?

Hello, I have noticed this as well. I've been meaning to test other wiring methods to find the best light output, but I'm 100% certain the power running from the led board is feeding the halos enough voltage. Further testing will be done once I start working on more tail lights.

Nice Work but i have a concern how behind the white halo ring the light RED where they come from? Did you leave some red led connected? i not follow this step by the way which halo light you mention bring or illuminate perfect on sun light during day?

So the white halos look red because of the red tail light lenses. And for the brightest during the day I suggest using Diode Dynamics or Profile Prism halo rings. They cost a lot more than amazon LEDs but they are much higher quality.

And when I connected the new halos I did not leave any of the old stock LED, they were completely replaced by the rings
