Fell of my pocket once in a winter time and i was so bummed about it but guess what, snow started melting down few months later and i found it right outside my doorstep still showing the correct time. Not kidding, lost it in December found it in March. Incredibly durable watch. Get one if you are still doubting.

    Oh my god... im in a mental breakdown, burnout, getting some really needed rest and relaxation... and a thing was bugging me, oh so much... the stopwatch on my g shock was working and i had no clue how to switch it of... I was trying for days already, asking people on the street who are wearing a g-shock to if they had a clue how to do it... Nobody knew. I saw your video, tried the movements and it didnt work again, but the video showed it clearly how to... so definetly it was the forward button, right under, that didnt work... I unscrewed my watch, got the inside out, saw that the metal plate of the forward button was bended a bit... puched it with my screwdriver, it worked now... Got to switch of the stopwatch finally... Problem solved and some more mental rest. Thank you....

    Thanks for the very useful overview. I've had my G-Shock GA-100 since 2015. Best $100 I've ever spent. It's been through gardening, messy oil changes, dog bites, car washes, household cleaning and it's taken all sorts of brutal knocks. I had to disassemble it to remove the filth under the shroud, but still it cleans up nice and you need to look really close to see any damage. The backlight feature sucks, it's only a single LED which makes the digital screens invisible but I can deal with it. Definitely would buy another one on impulse.

    This is excellent. My friend's 7 year old daughter had been playing with my G-Shock and when I got it back from her she'd changed the date, cancelled Daylight Saving...many things really, but they were simple to fix. The watch however was no longer cynced with the digital and analogue each showing me very different times. I watched another 2 vidz before finding this - both were pretty frustrating, but your vid showed me how to do it with one viewing and in less than 30 seconds of adjustment. Top notch vid man - well done, and thank you.

    Hi, I found your channel following doing a search regarding the Casio GA100. And gratefully to your dedication to making this video so simple and concise I was able to reset my (Son’s) watch. I was left all my son’s watching following his death almost 8 years ago and a good few of them are Casio watches. I really wanted to get the watch working correctly after I swapped out the dead battery so I could wear it and, I don’t know, bring him closer to me again - I’m not sure I’ve explained that right. It’s just another way I am with him even though I’m not. That sounds crap, too. Never mind, sorry about that. I’ve saved your channel under favourites and have ‘liked’ the hard work and dedication. Thank you. Greetings from Cumbria in the U.K. Stay safe and well.

    @@WatchGeekthanks for this.... But can you change it between miles to kilometres or is it just miles?

  • @WatchGeek

    @WatchGeek

    5 жыл бұрын

    This question comes up A LOT! The watch doesn't need to know the unit, YOU have to. It is YOU who input the distance, the watch just tells you the speed in distance PER HOUR. So the watch just need the NUMBER so it can calculate the speed which is again a NUMBER. Whether the speed is going to be MPH or KPH depends on what unit YOU used to measure the distance. So YOU need to know the unit of the distance as then speed will be in that unit per hour. If you still don't understand here's an example. Let's say you are going for a drive between New York and Washington, and let's say, for the sake of the argument that the distance between the 2 is 60 miles. If you want to know the average speed in MPH yo would input 60 as the distance. If you wanted that same trip in KPH, you would have to input that distance in KM, and 60 miles is roughly 100km, so in the watch, you would just change the NUMBER from 60 to 100, and the average speed calculated would be in KPH. I hope I managed to explain 😁

    *_For those of us with negative panels in this model, I learned a hack for light 💡 displacement by refraction, to facilitate panel (or LCD) reading. This is done by placing the finger tip on the dial @ the 6 o’clock position while concurrently depressing the B or Reverse button. In other models of watches, this can also be done from the source wherein the LED or EL emanates. A miracle won’t be performed but it does help._*
