The G Scale Southern Pacific Mojave Sub had an open house at their Tehachapi loop layout on 9-18-22. In part 1 enjoy an on train ride over the entire layout.

That's a big layout! I would freak out only at the thought of all the ballasting left to do!
A Fantastic Ride on a Great Garden Railway. I had 35 minutes of great joy. Thanks to NS Reading for recommending this channel. A great video and a great layout. Greetings from Germany.
I had a G gauge layout on just under an acre property years ago, but it wasn’t anything like this. Truly and impressive layout, I’m definitely jealous! Awesome 👏
The topography makes for a really fun train ride! Hope your leaf blower has the big battery pack for autumn duty. 😀
I wish that I lived closer. I would have loved to have taken the open house tour. Thank you for photographing it!
Wow! Ride on this train, and you have been on a good long ride. Good job on this rail road.
Absolutely beautiful and amazing
Awesome garden railroad. Enjoyed every minute.
Very impressive! That's some acerage ya got there!
that was fantastic ride . The hole set looked great to .👍
Nice layout, that’s some crazy money spent on a rail system.
Hell of a ride!!
Wow absolutely fantastic after viewing this it is really inspiring me to jump into G scale my back yard is almost a half acre so it will interesting to see what the years ahead of me can produce,thankfully I will have my 3 rail O scale to keep me occupied while I make this new venture,thanks for sharing thourghly enjoyed the ride. Best regards, J.R.

you can do a lot on 1/2 acre
Great share nice ride along 👍🏻🇨🇦🚂🥓TSM
Nice to have a yard big enough to put a large train in.
Great job. Greetings from germany, Andreas
WHAT A LAYOUT!
Impressive! So jealous.
Wow awesome
Very impressive
Great video thank you for sharing. Too bad this layout isn’t anywhere near Myrtle Beach South Carolina, because I would go visit it. 🤓
Fantastic!!! I am about to begin, fuel rack and yard, have a few acres to dream about, wish me luck!!!
Nice g scale train
Bello e interessante😊
Could you tell use where this is located. What are the chances that you will be able to give us a view from a drone to get a true feeling of its size? Major thanks.
Impressive size
Obrigado, Vanderley , sou do Brasil.
Are the engines R/C and battery powered, or do you use DCC and track power?
@tannerstrains
None of the layout is powered. The engines are controlled by RailPro and are set up so that 2 units run off on battery pack.
What city and state are you guys located in and how did you build your layout

Those freight cars look real.
Watch at 1.75x speed. So good!
Ma che bello! Complimenti! Adesso però lo avete finito? La galleria è stata completata? Greetings from Italy
Great! I'm deeply impressed. How many feet of track have you laid out there?

they are not going to tell you, but my guess is 2000yds plus....
Fantastic layout thanks for sharing it. Is the roadbed concrete or does it just look that way?
@tannerstrains
Yes, the roadbed is concrete. In some places there is also foam board between the track and concrete.
well what can i say, 10acres+ and 100's of yards of track. We can have so much fun in the garden, but beware for the beginners, perpared to spend a lot of money. BUT as always its horses for courses. I'd rather spend the money on a garden railway than buy a Porsche. Great quality track work, and only 1 annoying point issue. Could be the camera, or it could be the sound card, but heard better. well done guys and girls. PS: Keeps us of the streets, but still in the fresh air.
Paráda! I když, ty větve v kolejišti?
Id love to see one long tunnel...40ft or longer
Obrigado, Vanderley .Brasil.
Your layout is gonna be nice, when you get it done. It would be even better, when you add a few G scale steam engines.
I'm a 54 year old man from Australia and I loved the ride it was great. How do they keep all that track clean? How do they keep track of all those trains at the same time? The ride brought out the big kid in me. Thank you from the land down under.
@tannerstrains
Keeping the track clean isn't a big problem as all the locomotives are battery powered. Each set of engines is run by a separate person so there are plenty of eyes keeping track of everything.
@rivergladesgardenrailroad8834

indeed battery power is the only way...imo.
Do you have web site or anything for this amazing layout and or how long is it and how much verticals altitude change is there

Great job, what kind of camera are you using. It clear, amazing just as the track is. ❤❤❤😊

It's a GoPro Hero 10 sitting on a flatcar.
Are you running the locomotives on battery power? It seems like a lot of track to clean for the trains to be able to run on track power. The rails seem heavier duty than I have on my LGB tracks
@tannerstrains
Yes, everything is battery powered.
35 minutes equals how many scale miles or real feet of track? Great video and great train set! Thank you, my friend.
Where can I see the track plan?
How does the engineer know where his train is? Does he have a live feed of the video? How does he know the track ahead is clear? I don't see any signals
@tannerstrains
The engineer normally walks with their train which allows them to see and talk to each other to coordinate train movements.
Obrigado. Sou do Brasil.
where did you buy all that track?
@rivergladesgardenrailroad8834
from a supplier/manufacturer of track. I use Llegas Creek 250
Every thing looks AWESOME!! It looks so realistic....except theres no graffiti on the box cars and tankers lol Someone with airbrush skills should Tag some cars!!! And add Hobo Shoestring's tag and a mini Hobo Shoestring!! This layout is really amazing!!
Buick.
Well it would've been nice to actually see the train going down the track instead of just a camera view from the front of it.what a bummer of a video
@tannerstrains

You can see just that in Part 2.
This exemplifies men living out their childhood dreams of having toy trains on steroids. You realize this is madness and a colossal waste of time and money.

Is it truly a waste if it makes you happy?
I like trains and all, but this seems a bit extream. You must have a lot of time and money to throw away. It's so big you can't even watch it. I would appreciate it much more if I was 8 years old . That kind of money could be put to such better use.

Even in model railroading, haters gonna hate. It's called a hobby for a reson. Some restore antique cars. You think that's not expensive? It's about fulfillment not the money.
