In 1977, a recording of "Flowing Water" (Liu Shui, as performed by Guan Pinghu, 管平湖) was chosen to be included in the Voyager Golden Record, a gold-plated LP recording containing music from around the world, which was sent into outer space by NASA on the Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 spacecraft. It is the longest excerpt included on the disc.

Their instrument telemetries are reported in the latest Nature Astronomy magazine (Volume 3 Issue 11, November 2019).Plainly speaking, they are in outer space now.

This is by far my favorite version of this piece. Im trying to find the version that I’ve heard on encarta; it was somewhere on youtube, but this version is just heavenly.

下指乾淨好難得，氣息平淡沈歛不易。下右指時得用腰帶動，右指少自己用力，可使琴曲多些流水磅礡氣勢，特別是起曲的 5 5. 5，以拉大山高水沛的場景；在節奏上鋪陳穩健，但曲中有數處停太久了，沒了流水的連貫性。整體很棒，假以時日，磨利腰身，必成大師。

Excellent!...I love the original version that I have on record (French record, apparently recovered from an almost destroyed lacquer) but this one has "heart".... Amazing music and the longest track on voyageur space probe gold record...I know why!

流水 was one of the guqin pieces I heard. I fell in love with the instrument since then.

So gorgeous sounding. I absolutely love this instrument. I love to own one and learn how to play it

This is my favourite recording of this piece. It is performed much softer. Also the artist pulls the strings at times others just press them down, moving their fingers around. Like this, it makes more musical "sense" to me.

Piper Katakoo It seems that most of the prices on AliExpress are almost the same as sound of mountain. I would stick to sound of mountain because they give you quite a few accessories that are helpful in getting you started

还推荐大家去听听曾成伟老师的川派的《流水》，返璞归真，已入化境。七十二滚拂是蜀人张孔山所作，所以川派的版本可以说是“正宗”，但少为人所知。蔡老师的风格算是龚一先生一派的，其实李祥霆一派的流水也是大开大合的精彩，就是视觉和音效不如自得做得好而已。央音在大众推广方面，真的不如上音活络。

It must be worlds more difficult playing a song with no key signature. There doesn't seem to be a rhythm, but it's still very beautiful.

全明星诸葛琴魔, 小说三国是元末明初写的. 以下是从别的地方抄来的: 琴的来源無從稽考，不过中华古代文明之初的各个氏族领袖都与琴的创始传说有关，如伏羲造琴、神农造琴、唐尧造琴、黄帝造琴和虞舜造琴等传说，但無考古支持. 最古实物是郭家庙墓地曹门湾墓区86号墓出土的春秋早期琴。戰國時期曾侯乙墓則出土了十弦琴與築，筑长度与现代琴相仿。战国中期和西汉则有比现代琴短些的七弦琴出土。现在看到的琴的型制於东汉晚期确定。
