Hey FXR brothers, gotta keep these old girls alive. I’ve managed to get 2 of these through the years. Love the ride and handling. 84 , 107stroker , and a 86 FXR spaghetti glide(35mm forks) Montréal police edition. To bad it’s missing all the farings.

Hey looking forward to the FXR content. I’ve got same color but it’s an 83 FXR Shovel. I went with the BMC/Corbin seat...RB Racing pipe ...Big Al’s risers n bars and I went with 14” Race Techs in the rear and love em. Former 0311 here was with E 2/3. 🇺🇸

Nice dude Thankyou for your service always awesome to see fellow marines on Harley! And I really wanna ride a shovel head bike how does that motor compare to twin cam and evo? I imagine it shakes a lot more?? Also, sounds like a badass setup!

@@dynademos I’ve got a 93 Electra Glide police with a built EVO and it runs pretty strong and had a 09 FatBoy that had some motor work so that was definitely more powerful but the Shovel with that pipe and S&S carb on it runs really strong and over the winter I just installed an S&S top end on it new pistons..jugs and heads it’s still in the break in process so can’t really rip it yet but it’s gonna feel like a different bike I think. Shovelheads get a bad rap because everyone thinks of the 4spd rigid mount motors but the 82/83 FXR and the FLT had a 5spd and was rubber mounted so definitely a more refined ride ( I just said refined referring to a Shovel??) but anyway ya it’s a blast 👍🏻🇺🇸

I have a 1990 FXRS-SP, ( original owner ) for your license plate get a Kruesi Originals plate mount, the nicest one out there. Also where did you get the 5 speed cover ? I would like to get one. Keep the vids up. The FXR community needs & appreciates it.

Had an white 87 fxr( not stock ). Good going bike aft I put in bout $500.00 in It. About 5 Yr's later the 5 speed tranny went out & I didn't have $1000.00 to have it fixed. I sold it & sorry I did.

@@thakery5720 Read the mikuni and s&s carbs use a lot of fuel
