The United States invented aerocars in 1946, and perfected it in 1949. Robert Edison Fulton Jr also designed one several decades ago. England tested them long ago. You drive it to an airfield, take off, land at the destination airfield, and drive away. There will be no taking off or landing on roads

That modular truck flying car thing would be good for researchers. They can drive to the area and then fly to the research spot. It's really going to come down to battery life as to how useful it will be.

It is currently autonomous driving. You don't drive it, you program it. Refer to DJI Mavic.

Silly thoughts Its tyres should be like the tyres of Aeroplane,then could reduce the weight and also by using thermocols inside the car. Also keep parachutes as a precaution for safety.

About of tech/design... Purely Vertically straight-upward style can save Space/Compact Foldable/Retractable Rotors, but Spent/loss more power in battery. (Just like Drone & Helicopter) The Alternative style of Adjustable Wings .. very clumsy/spanning gears.. but wings can SAVE up-lifting force by aerodynamic of big wings' area, hence providing more range for equal capacity of Battery.!! (Compared to pure spinning of blades)

It would make a great 4WD as well! Imagine flying to a remote 4WD track and fold down the wings to meet up with Jeeps😂
