It would appear that the biggest limiting factors of these jetpacks are fuel and power.

Exactrly. If they used hydrogen with a fuel cell they could get hours of flying time. MgH2 magnesium hydride. This is common knowledge in engineering, is it being suppressed?

​@@Brad_Fallon ...no. hydrogen is incredibly non-dense, and requires heavy tankage. Hydrogen fuel cells aren't particularly light either. And electric motors are heavier per unit power than jet engines as well.

How does flying around with a jet pack enable a man to be with his family

The Flyboard seems incredible. The Scorpion seems like the ideal "hover bike" design, but I feel like it will never really be maneuverable unless they find some kind of way to generate thrust in the way that the Gravity jet packs or even the Flyboards generate a kind of jet powered thrust. Also, there is that famous video of the bike flying way up before coming down hard and crashing. The Kitty Hawk Flyer looks amazing and I'd say it's a damn crying shame they won't be available to individuals as they look like an excellent flying experience. I also just love the Man Drone.

The Flyboard would be the future for military purposes... Hands free is a must have !

I feel the same, it is more compact and hand free. It is better suit for military purpose or for hobbyist due to requiring better physical condition and skill to control. While the other bulkier version are much better for many different type and shapes of people to use like driving a car.

Conquer the sky like a bird would mean empty bones.... We need another way unless you pretend to either stop being human or change physical laws.

These jetpack have improved in 20 yrs from solo rockets packs to real solo flying machines. This has proven to be a areas of technology that going to change how we live and travel. You do not to go to airport or airplane to fly. I like jet power pack if it was cheaper I love get one.

The French made a big impression worldwide with their solo flying hoverboard in 2019, but, 4:08 in 1963, in the James Bond movie "Goldfinger", we saw a jetpack that Bond used in the movie.

Birds take off by using springing action at their knees. Their wing-span unfolds during take-off and folds up during landing. Their "landing gear" also stays folded during flight and opens up during landing.

Flying Technology is Amazing and Great, No words to say, on my view I like four cornered running flying propeller wheels with bike setup in the middle, it's great.🤕

All are cool,,, but hover fly board flyers look amazing ,,if they add some sort of rods on side front to hold and stand...jetpacks are cool

It's cool technology (granted) but it's also nice not having people flying about in the sky everywhere. I quite enjoy seeing a clear sky...

I like the Jet Man rocket pack (0:24) 300km/hr! Don't know why it would need an airplane or helicopter to launch when it can hover gently over the ground!

The technology and idea has been neen aroumd for a long time, but the same old issue remains, a fuel source that is light and powerfull, untill that problem is overcome, then these are just not going to become something practical. If they overcome the fuel dilema then the possibilities and usefulness of some of them would be amazing to see.

That was an Airbus 380, not a 320. And it's pronounced kilometers, not kilometes.

That hover-bike is a dangerous design. The center of gravity needs to be as far below the center of volume as possible. That thing will capsize VERY easily in very little wind.
