I think it is interesting how 2020 had a lot of characters questioning Batman's methods. Even suggesting he quit being the Dark Knight (maybe that part was more Tom King's run when Thomas was telling his son to quit, marry Selena and be happy). Now in 2021, we see a 'future Bruce' where he's 'dead' and everything he's worked for has now been stripped away. Gotham is no longer 'his' and now he's truly alone without two nickels to rub together. Kind of sad... VERY interesting! But sad....

I do like the new conflict in Bruce Wayne's duality really focusing more on "his side" of the mask and would rather have seen him take on life as a retired vigilante turned married man. And, even though the thought of two very different perspectives on life as the Batman is "ridiculously" entertaining, I'm happy to see "so far" that they haven't killed him off.

It annoys the piss out of me when they chuck the suit on anybody and then they are Batman. Bruce is Batman because only he has the skills,smarts and mental strength to be it. He's like the ultimate physical specimen, tactician, detective etc etc all rolled into one. Who the hell is Fox in comparison.

if you read the conclusion of Death Metal you know that this is being watched by the main Universe Batman. so it's probably interesting to see a version of himself who has to operate on whatever gear he can get his hands on, because the questions always been there how would Batman operate if he lost access to his family fortune.

Except it's been made pretty clear over the course of the comics that it was never just about Bruce. Bruce created Batman as a symbol to represent something bigger than himself, something that transcends flesh & blood. He can't be Batman forever, so whenever he's gone or occupied, there's always going to be a Batman protecting Gotham.

I have a hard time with this story it completely ignores the fact that Bruce is an absolute genius and also his friends Clark would not let him be on the street nor would Diana Nor would Barry or Ollie. He would still have full access to the watchtower where he could get back on his feet. it's a nice story but honestly within the universe it doesn't make sense.

@@apophis5948 That doesn't address the watchtower that doesn't address the multiple batcaves that Bruce has strown throughout not just Gotham but other cities where's cyborg in all of this I'm pretty sure Bruce could reorganize himself in one form or another he would still have access to all his technology. John and Damien would definitely still take care of him he would have access to the fortress as well

Batman has suprisingly "died" several times over the years. There's the Earth 2/ JSA continuity, Infinite Crisis, and others.

This is by far my most favorite story of Bruce Wayne batman. The reason why is because he doesn't have his money, he doesn't have all of his gear, but he can still kick a$$. I love how this story makes Batman and other vigilantes get at the back of the wall because of some corrupt industry like the magistrate. This is so cool and I keep coming back to it whenever I want to hear and see a good story narrated by you guys. I love y'all and keep up the good work. You guys have been getting me through this terrible time of covid and I don't regret subscribing to you guys. Have a nice day🦇🦇🦇🦇

What good is it protecting your hometown, when your hometown is going to switch up on you? Basically all this does is proves Damian Wayne's point about his father Bruce Wayne Batman being so obsessed & protective of his hometown Gotham especially when the city ain't loyal to him let alone has many problems to the point where it is pointless trying to save it.

Now this looks like a Batman story I can get behind! Tom King and Tynion’s runs on the character were laughable, especially King’s run! They ruined Batman for me, but I gotta say, both Future State Batman titles be looking scrumptious! Might have to hop back on!

The whole "Cops being after Batman" plot never made sense to me. I mean, the guy is one of the founding members of the FREAKING JUSTICE LEAGUE!! Why would any authorities ever be after Batman for anything other than to ask for his help? Great story though. I'm very interested to see where it goes. Probably the only good story coming out of "Future State" imo.

Personally, I feel this is a great opportunity to bring Batman back to his roots of him utilizing more of his wits and skills than his fancy gadgets. In the end, it’ll make him a better crime fighter.

When Future State is all over, You definitely need to do a video on clearing up the FS timeline. I don't mean like the useless timetable in DC nation presents, I mean setting each story, including the ones included but separated from the main titles
