My first time watching a rugby highlight. A nfl fan from Korea! This kid is going to become a sleeper.
"The only problem with this guy is he isn't English" I dont see that as a problem, I see that as an absolute win 😂
As a life long watcher of the NFL but certified rugby nerd I find it sad he’s switching. As interesting as it will be to watch the transition , the kick and chases in this video really illustrates where rugby has it over football. If he makes it LRZ with likely never pass or kick the ball again. Hell he won’t even hold the ball in 2 hands to keep defenders guessing. Yes he will run routes, throw blocks and maybe, maybe, take a hand off… but something tells me we hadn’t seen quite the best of him in rugby and we may never

I suspect he'll pass the ball again at least in practice. Travis Kelsey loves playing with laterals But even in a game if he plays kick off return, with the new rules. With two back behind the main line of defence they are going to at least try passing. It may turn out to be too risky but it will be a fun experiment

With the kickoff rule change in the NFL you can bet he will be returning kicks. You know Andy the genius is gonna have some plays dialed in for this kid. Let’s go Chiefs ! #3str8

The way the so called wankers in charge of Wales with the crap that the likes of 20 Miles an hour and the idiotic covid shit by the wanker who had to resigned because he broke his own 20mph restriction! Do you really blame him? 😂😂

I’m with @rangley. Not sure why he can’t return kicks like Corderall Patterson

As a Welshman, I have been waiting for this analysis from our family from the other side of the pond. I hope he can make his mark due to him being an incredibly humble person and a dedicated athlete to boot. He isn't what we call in Wales a 'Jinker' (Phil Bennet, Johnathan davies and the legend Shane Williams(the former played at 10 with the exception of Shane who played 14 ((watch shanes breakout game against the All Blacks 2003 World cup)), but he is speed with a step, George North MK2 with a slight tweak. I have seen him up close due to work allowing me the opportunity to regularly visit the Welsh training ground in the Vale, the young man is a unit. Cannot wait to see him play in the NFL but if it doesn't work out, he can return to The Old Land of My Fathers with open arms. x
I’m here cause the chiefs. Idk what I really juss watched but it was impressive
Getting those sweet American views! Hope he does well
One skill he has that is always over looked because of his speed is his strength. He will always break the first tackle. And that will be pretty vital in football. If you don't take him to ground first time he's off.
Didn't know who he was until recently, and as a Chiefs fan, I'm excited to see what the future holds for LRZ. He's fast, seems to adapt fairly quickly, and is working hard. He's stated this is his dream, so I genuinely hope he succeeds.
I like his one against Wasps where he goes coast to coast but is really chased all the way, but it says a lot about his talent that it didn’t even crack the top ten
The try v Scotland was LRZ number 1.

I kinda agree but a while back I did a video that didn’t include the Fijian try and lots of people said it was by far his best ever try so was kind of swayed!
That last one! 😲
He is going to the best team he could possibly go to. Excited to see him at Arrowhead
The natural path for LRZ will be special teams. With top end speed and the ability to tackle, he will almost certainly be looked at as a gunner on the punting team. It is probably the most rugby like thing he can do as it will be similar to a kickoff in rugby. Sprint down the field and get to the ballcarrier as quickly as possible. He should get some work on the kickoff unit as well as the most important facet there is staying in your lane and maintaining defensive integrity with your teammates. No different to coming up on a blitz defence in rugby. Obviously we all salivate at the idea of him as a returner. If he can learn to read blockers he could be very effective there. As for playing on offense, it will be steep learning curve. The route tree will need to be developed with the appropriate footwork and timing. At running back what will hold him back in Andy Reid’s system will be his ability to pass block. Countless running backs have been drafted into Andy Reid teams only to not see snaps as they can’t block effectively. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had a cursory glance at him as a punter. He did have an underrated boot on him as a rugby player. However things go, he couldn’t have found a better team to be on to learn his trade.
All absolute worldies... That try against Fiji was just RIDICULOUS.
Bangers only.
I think his Talents will be constrained just by the Nature of the NFL Game.
What made LRZ such a prospect was his ability to play by foot, two hands and run in the same path. I am a bit worried he wont be able to show us his entire talent in football...
Imagine if some of those Capetonian South Africans were to swap to the NFL…

Got to have brain power to learn a completely different sport. ,and all plays etc ..maybe a shortfall for some ?
Should be a RB or a Slot Receiver
Why is he wearing number 10 against the sharks?

I believe he wasn’t originally meant to play and the winger jerseys didn’t fit him but the 10 jersey did
❤
NFL will take away his qualities like stamina , endurance to constant hots for 80 mins etc ., his actual bursts of speed and actual strength will improve, but whereas a rugby player is suitable to most sports , NFL players are just that really , may play other US sports , but not worldwide loved sports .one half of me hopes he excels , other half wants him back in the red of Wales asap
Chiefs just got their McCaffery
What a waste
He will kill it in football! Rugby is way harder

He is really good at rugby and I totally want him to rip it up in the NFL. But it’s so technical, I don’t remember anyone transferring from rugby to NFL and standing out. Hope I’m wrong, he has done it in his prime, as opposed to others who transferred when they’d peaked in rugby.

Nfl has bigger and faster athletes so not exactly a for sure..ill be watching
This will not end well 🏈👨🦽💀👃
I don’t think football will go well for him He’ll slow down in pads number one He won’t cover the ball correctly. He’ll telegraph his routes. I just don’t see it going very good Maybe they can coach him up. But I don’t see him making an impact

Hell be well coached up in KC. Ill be interested to see how his speed holds up as well with the extra gear. I dont think itll bother him all that much but we will see. Wishing him nothing but the best and, as much as i dont want to watch KC, gonna have to in order to see how he does
