I left out the clip where I checked the weight of these two setups but the Injora motor with stock transmission which has Injora metal gears installed was 64g & the Furitek cedar setup came in at 58g!

@@Kpilato_21 mine didn’t seem to work plugged directly into the new receiver. I’m waiting on another option to solve that. Hopefully I’ll have a vid on it soon!

Yeah I bought the 42-1 or whatever it is the super low-speed thralls years and they just ain't enough so I put the 36% reduction which is a couple brass gears and then one still here I can't remember the name or I got it up anyway you'll find it they are really really good still got killer wheel speed and super low crawl and that is with the 4100 mofo band motor

Just watched this video again and noticed how short the motor wires are. Kinda limited on placement of the esc. Do they make a wire extension for it?

That lean angle at around 1:30 is amazing. How much brass you got on that thing!?

Are those proline trenchers? If so, u like them over other tires?

How is the transition from slower speeds and accelerating up to faster speeds? I had a few Komodo’s and Lizards in my SCX24 and I absolutely hated the slow-to-fast transition because it was so abrupt.

Does the torque-density feel higher in the Cedar than the Venom outrunner? I'd hate to spend the $50 and have less torque. Most of us know that outrunner torque is hard to beat.

That’s so awesome! You wouldn’t believe the comments I get for the cats! One of them I feel like is definitely a crawling buddy. He’s always at my feet when I go out to the course. You have to get your own transmitter/receiver setup with this motor & esc. It won’t work with the stock system. The receiver I installed is waterproof but it just depends what you go with.

You could get a traxxis tq receiver to work with your traxxis remote on the furitek stinger combo. Im not sure about the python, but idk why it’d be any different

Palmbeachobots. The 4s I just connected two of the 2s packs in series to make 4s while keeping the packs small.

No I’m not much on brass or aluminum axles. I’ll take plastic axles any day & honestly I prefer straight axles so the stock Trx4m axles are great for me lol

You can buy the cedar motor alone for 50$ or buy motor and transmission for 119$

Can you compare this motor to the original furitek motor for the trxm please? Be cool to see the power difference

@@warmglassofbatteryacid so you have one? How much time have you ran with it? All of these motors are crazy smooth for the most part but the cedar does offer a few perks imo. Do I think anyone should worry about upgrading from the micro Komodo or mini? Not unless the sealed can is a huge deal to you. The crawl is good enough on any of those you should be happy. But the ability to take this thing anywhere and not have to worry about it is nice. It’s also nice being able to cram it in a spot and not have to worry about clearing the outrunner.

@@warmglassofbatteryacid I definitely wouldn’t waste any money to switch from some of the outrunners we already had but going forward I would buy this motor over any of the others every time unless it just absolutely couldn’t fit due to being slightly larger. The waterproof and clearance is nice though. I have so many builds with limited space and I always have to make sure nothing touches those outrunners or they shut down etc. I can pile wires or whatever directly on top of this thing. I love that about it. I just ran it in the cr18p Evo and it has amazing hold and good crawl in high gear! I love it.

Has Anyone Actually Ran A Python Pro On 4S? I Ran Mine On 2S For A Day And Then I Tried 4S. It Powered On For About 10 Seconds And Then Everything Started Flickering (ESC Light, And Recover Lights). Unplugged And Reconnected . The Python Is Unresponsive No. All It Does It Flicker The Power Light On And Makes The Receiver Turn On And Off. Tried A Back Up Receiver And Same Thing. Reinstalled My Injora MB100 ESC And Both Recovers Work. So My Python Pro Died On 4S. I'm Wondering If They Are Actually 4S Capable Like What Furitek Advertised. I Can't Find A Way To Contact Them. I Started A Return On It Through Amazon. Ordered Another One So I Have Less Down Time But I'm Kinda Bummed That They Might Not Be 4S Capable.

Id like to see the Cedar being ran by a Dinky esc.

Am i the only one that is kind of annoyed by the sound of this? Im not sure if its the motor or the transition
