    I built a SCX24 6x6.. and it absolutely eats my course up!! Not as smooth as the Furi, but I have a torquebeast 50 on it with stock electronics, and it performs really well. But I have to say I really like this one!!

    Awesome did you get the pass through axle kit thingy? I just picked up one and start my scx24 6×6 build. I bought a atlas and was so disappointed so I wanted to build a scx24

    @@nate4024 That was the same reason I just built my own. Give the Atlas to one of my grandsons. He getting interested at 8 years old, so I figured I'd feed the passion while it's there. MoFo was out of the kit, so I bought a pass through and drilled a hole in the stock one. Worked just fine. Just start out a little tight and work up very slowly until you get the perfect fit.

    I like 4 wheels myself but that looks like a good 6x6. Certainly no need to overdrive based on watching yours and running my 4x4 Cayman, but underdriving in the back might help. Mine needs a better servo because it just doesn't move at all if any torque at all is needed (it's not the same one they put in the 4x4 they sent you). I have shocks coming today for it (I can't get the front to spring the chassis up when pushed down) as well as extended links which I'm not committed to using, and a lizard pro to replace the one it stole. As gimpy as my Cayman came it still is the best climber I have.

    That is _fascinating._ Going to the rearmost axle, are the lower long links tied to the back of the center axle, while the top triangulated short links are going to the frame? That's going to solve a bunch of issues in my own build, if that's the case.

  • @2fmrc

    @2fmrc

    Жыл бұрын

    No. Furitek just started using the fcx24s axles after I paired them up with the scx transmission and had such good luck with them. I believe they have good access to the same parts being overseas so I imagine they can get them fairly inexpensive and build these rtrs cheap enough to offer them to us at a fair price. That’s just my thoughts on it anyway. Maybe they are connected somehow but as far as I know they aren’t.

    Just picked this up, great articulation and components. Unfortunately it seems to have plastic gears in the drivetrain and something has stripped within 5 mins and am getting a clicking sound and loss of power. Does furitek sell metal gears for this drivetrain? I’m not seeing any on their website

  • @2fmrc

    @2fmrc

    7 ай бұрын

    It’s more than likely in one of the axles. When it clicks does it seem to stop pulling for a second? Like a gear slipping? Could possibly have the wrong gear in the portal on one of the axles. That was an issue at one time. Or it may be the ring and pinion gear stripped. They are plastic in the fcx axles. I normally use the fms metal open diff and lock it with some epoxy to make it a solid spool. Basically you’ll need fcx24 parts for the axles and scx24 parts for the transmission. Depending where the issue is once you break it down.

  • @VetteWay2Fast

    @VetteWay2Fast

    7 ай бұрын

    Yep it seems the middle axle has stripped and it won’t pull when that axle is on the obstacle. Man what a bummer, a near 400 dollar rig with plastic gears with a brushless high torque system. Going through the fb pages on it, seems to strip very quickly. Now have to shell out like 50 bucks for 4 since they don’t sell a 3 pack and wait weeks with them backordered everywhere. Aside from that, was wondering if the tetra 6x6 body would fit on it. Might be cool with a full body
