The Beat and The Hand are supposed to make you feel like the bad guy, most bosses in this game make you doubt your own actions but none more than these two. If you don’t get that your missing a major part of the game

Daniel Fraiz that’s why this game is so good and is aptly titled imo. It’s hard to the point that when you finally kill a boss, even if you felt like you sort of liked them in the beginning by the end you are happy to see them die. By the end of the game I was happy to invade the planet to seek my vengeance for the difficulty I was put through

Hell no, his final phase is a relief phase after phases 3 and 4. 1st, 2nd and 5th are the easiest phases to avoid damage in this fight.

Honestly, I would put the Edge just above the Strap on your list. Yeah, he's brutal, but at least the fight was short and I can parry somewhat decently. The Star was DEFINITELY the hardest for me. I'll stay up until five in the morning sometimes attempting difficult bosses; with this one I had to go bed with a loss lol. Such a great game.

P Justin the first two phases of edge are easy if you party then hit once rinse and repeat, if you can knock him over it takes one charge attack to take 1 full health bar from him

Just finished this game. The Edge is up there on the hardest boss in this game. Yeah it doesn't take long to win this guy, but it doesn't take long to lose either. I probably lost to this boss the most, even though it didn't take me the longest to fight. Btw good video, love it!

Pro tip on the Edge: a charged sword (right stick) will 1 shot the Edge in rounds 1 and 2 (never was able to keep a charge on 3 or 4) on Furi difficulty. Charging will make him immediately attack you, so charge when you dash behind him on his 3rd red hologram slash. The Hand was the first boss I rage quit on.

you can charge a hit on his final phase when he does the pulse attack, just dodge out quickly and its a free charge. does half his health

For the third phase of the star, concentrate on one hand and if you're fast enough you can kill it before the lasers start. Then he'll go back to orbs again and you can kill the second hand the same way without having to deal with any quad laser bs.

I think it's interesting how everyone has trouble with different bosses. I killed the scale and the burst on the first or second try with little issue, but then the line and even the beat took more tries. And then some bosses were super hard the first couple tries, but once it clicked they became super easy like the edge and the star. I dunno I think its pretty neato how everyone struggles with different stuff. Cool vid too.

Tommy McCoy totally true. I remember one of my first runs that I was doing with a friend of mine. This friend is very good at Furi, and at one point we were doing the song. I beat her on my second try and he was like totally baffled since he struggled so much with her. But then for me, the Scale was so hard to beat... it’s funny how it differs so much...

Everybody says that the hand is easy, and for me it was a real pain in the ass, meanwhile, the scale only gave me problems in his fourth phase, wasn't that hard

I'd say that the hand and the edge were easy but they were honestly my favorite bosses in the game. When i beat the star i rejoiced and listened to asmr to calm my nerves.

The Star was the one boss I genuinely wanted to beat to prove I was better. Even if he was the one boss (other than maybe The Line initially) that really got me feeling that gamer rage.

I'm pretty sure that's the gimmick of The Scale. Not too hard, but the poison puts you on a losing streak when you get hit once. This is especially true for the final phase.

The Edge is one of the best bosses like ever in games. Very strong narrative, enjoyable, satisfying to beat. He’s a lot like Getting Over It with Bennet Foddy. Frustratingly difficult, completely fair, and actively encourages you to keep trying

The Burst is definitely number one in my book, such a difficult boss and took me many tries. It's really interesting to see what other people struggled with!

I see this is some years ago, tbh I saw this game when it came out, wanted to play it but just never got around to it.. it was on sale in the ps store so I picked it up and frustratingly loved it.. haven’t played DLC yet but the star was a pain in my ass, I walked away for a few hours after losing to final phase several times and when I finally beat it I was quite hyped.

Wait you can bounce those pink shots!!! I went through the entire game dodging them, and they were 2nd to the lasers in terms of bullshittery in the final boss for me.

Real talk though, The Edge made me quit the game for almost a year.

Did you know that the combat strategies differ when you go to Furier mode?

I was soooo satysfied when I finally beat that Star Bitch. Stages 1 and 2 were not that bad but oh god, stages 3, 4 and 5 were just hell.

I am very familiar with taking a break for like 3 days and then coming back to the game to finish what i started, Hotline miami 2 taught me this with Levels like: Dead Ahead, Deathwish, Take over and other hard ass levels. And it helped me a lot to finish the levels since if you binge it, You're not really gonna complete a level, You need to take a rest for like a few days and then when you go back to it, You'll be a lot better.

The Hand is my favorite boss fight, he was the hardest one and the most fun. I love the voice actor and the dialogue.

I've found The Line much more frustrating than The Song (1st attempt kill) and The Burst (2nd attempt kill, curse her camper's rifle and the final stage) But it was him who made me realise that you have to learn from your foes to fight fire with fire (like The Line himself and The Edge require you to take your time and fight meditatively, but The Scale battle rewards you for a more aggressive approach, like skipping his duplication attacks)

The line kicked my ass more than any boss in the game, simply because I have no choice but to be patient. The Edge I got without getting fully KOed a single time somehow. Parrying comes easy to me, possibly because of Dark Souls.

I'm curious as to whether or not you also fought the Flame and THE GOD Bernard. If you have, your thoughts?

i spent a full day of just repeating the star over and over on furier to beat it ^_^" after all the effort of getting so far on that difficulty, failing to him would be miserable oooof.

I played Furi like a year ago, and i'm wondering if i would place the boss fights different now. Thinking back to it... I didn't play furier on most bossfights, also i am really bad at these kind of games and Furi was the first one i ever really played. So i had to learn every Boss before getting somewhere. The 4. Bossfight (The Scale) was rather easy for me. But the last phase was different. I struggled a lot with the 3. one, i would definitely set him above the second, and forth boss. I also had some problems with the hand. I guess I'm just not patient enough for those 2. The Edge was really hard for me. I was never forced to learn blocking in any game, i always got around it. The Edge punished me hard for that. The Edge taught me a lot and it. But actually, i loved the fight, i loved it some much that i even killed him on furier. I don't remember the song as a big problem. At the last phase i missed the part she got killable, i just continued dodging until i died. That was rather stupid. But other than that, not a big deal. The 7. Boss was annoying and frustrating. The finding always made the fight go ages. The 10. Boss was hard to start with, but after you learn his moves his not a big deal. The One More Fight Boss was a lot of fun for me and similar to the 10th boss you had to learn the fight. The secret DLC boss Bernard is probably something i will never defeat, that's to much for me, and that's okay! Easiest to hardest. 9. 1. 4. 2. 5. 6. 3. 7. 8. 10.

It took longer to S rank the Star than Bernhard. But burst and Bernhard are still my Favorite Fights in the game. Just So satisfying

The thing about all of the bosses though is that they are pre-programmed with set patterns. They're not going to throw out a new combination of attacks once you've figured them out. What helped me out A LOT with parrying was listening extremely closely for the attack sound and waiting for the white flash that would telegraph they're attacks. You shouldn't try to anticipate the moves like they are a human player who is variable. They just have a lot of preset attacks. Just simply wait for the cues, analyze the attack patterns, and exploit them. Also, with the bullet-hell sections, I would weave in the smallest pattern of movement I could make while staying safe and shoot the enemy if they were not invincible during that part.

For the star you can shoot the charged shot through the closest turrets on the sides and hit them and the hands at the same time. I think it is the hardest with the edge behind it but the edge you can actually get a rhythm for his attacks.

The Beat and The Hand were purposely made to be easy, they were supposed to be turning points during The Strangers time down in the Jail that make him have a change of heart (if you decide to get the Good Ending) The Beat and The Hand were supposed to make The Stranger feel guilt, which he never has felt before. And are supposed to be reasons for him to go against The Star.

The most frustrating thing is that game doesn`t really teach you that you can charge your sword attack (holding x) while parrying/dashing, or that you can parry bullets (undestructable ones), they say it one time while you fighting the Chain, where you don`t really need all this. But if you know, that you can charge it - almost every boss in CQC sequences is just a piece of cake, on my second run i`ve done the Edge's first and second phases in 40 second, and the whole fight in two minutes.

I'm kinda surprised the line isn't number 10, he was a complete pushover for me, he felt like someone wanted a boss that makes pinwheel look like the terminator.

It's kind of like looking at a bizarro world where the Line is easy but the Edge is difficult. I kind of like how people find different bosses harder than others though, I think it's a strength of the game (The Burst's last phase took me a solid week to overcome)

Easiest to Hardest: 1. The Chain 2. The Beat 3. The Hand 4. The Strap 5. The Line 6. The Scale 7. The Edge 8. The Song 9. The Burst 10. The Star I did The Chain fight enough times on Furi mode to win without getting hit. The Beat was the 2nd boss who's ever beaten me during my first play through, but I only lost cuz I tried bum rushing the platforming. The Hand was surprisingly underwhelming, mostly cuz you go in after The Scale fight, thinking you're going to fight something worse than him. The Strap shot like, 3x more orbs from her face than The Chain would, if you died in his last phase 2 times, 'cept she does this before you can even get that far, AND her unblockable grab killed my momentum. The Line takes what I thought was hard about The Strap for the first couple a phases, shits on it, then slaps a cosmic cube on it, cuz I think I got KO'd in every phase, from how cross eyed I got, looking at the 1000+ orbs on the screen. I somehow did better on The Scale than The Line, but that can't justify how much harder it is, especially the last phase. The Edge was my first loss during my first play through, but I'm torn towards the difficulty, cuz it's balanced, like sure he hits ridiculously hard, but for some reason you do almost the exact same amount of damage, I only lost cuz I was unaware of his hyper armor during the last phase, so I felt overwhelmed, not seeing an opportunity to hit em at the time. Fuck The Song, cuz on 1 hand, the fight has my fav soundtrack in the game, she looks cool af, and she's unique in the sense that her fighting style revolves around mixing up every attack you've seen before her fight, plus new stuff, but on the other hand, her last phase is aids, cuz she barfs out EVERY attack ever in a nearly symmetrical yet annoying order/fashion, and she ruined my speedrun too so, I can relate. The Burst was another boss I somehow did better at, but once again, doesn't justify the difficulty, at all, or atleast not the close quarters fight for the last part of the final phase, and I got KO'd a lot regardless, tho the only notable thing that I found difficult (other than the last phase obviously) was just the start of the first couple of phases via running and praying to The Voice that you don't get shot or fall before reaching her, cuz getting to her wasn't as easy as I thought. The Star can slap dicks, like, how the actual fuck do you properly do the last phase? How do you properly do phases 3 and 4? I lost to The Star so many times, I almost felt like I was playing Dark Souls, but with like 90% of every attack being a Crystal Soul Spear and Wrath of the Gods. I played that fight so many times, I felt like I was only prepping for the last phase, cuz the repetition of the phases before the last became so consistent, I breezed through them, cuz they were the only ones I felt like I could learn, but the last one? Nah, that shit is ridiculous, you get so much crap thrown at you that you start contemplating tanking stuff as a strat, except you can't, cuz the last attack in the final phase is so long, you then start contemplating on whether this is even beatable. Fr tho, after enough tries, you feel less overwhelmed, and see that you can shoot through most of the last phase, with the rest just being dodge timing or the combination of the two, so basically, almost every other boss, but on roids, and crack, and red bull, and (insert a ridiculous stimulant here)

I played the whole game on furi mode but i got to The Star and after 4 hours i just reset to promenade lol

I beat the game In 2 days, and everytime I died I felt like I was an extreme noob, but when I see people struggling on the boss that I now know the tricks to it, I just feel like "I wasnt that bad after all"

If you were disappointed in the last fight, you didn't understand the story.

I mostly agree with the order. I would have just changed two things: The Line at #4, harder than the Song IMO, and the Edge at #1. The Edge KO'd me 65 times according to the final screen of the game after I've completed it on Furi mode for the first time. More than four times anyone else had. Even The Star KO'd me "only" 15 times (And the Scale 16. I'd maybe put him a bit higher too actually.)

The burst fucked me up for 3 hours i was so pissed, shes definitely my #1.

A big part of the bosses in Furi is the message they send. The Line for most people is a frustrating slog of bullet hell. Immediately after is the Hand, a mostly melee fight. You feel like this guy is fighting you on fair grounds which, yeah, makes him easier than others. It’s his narrative that you’re fighting with him, bashing against his unbreakable shield so to speak.

That star boss, on normal, nearly broke me. it took days of dying, resting on it, dying, and resting on it. Only after I don't know how many more tries, I somehow won. I then tried to play the game on the hardest difficulty, I found myself struggling against the old man at the second boss, then fear of facing the star again in a even harder state, struck, and I uninstalled the game.

This isn't my theory but someone in a different Furi related video said that he theorized that the prison was made to be escaped, its actually a showcase of types of human emotion, the beat as innocence, and the edge as encouragement, the song as kindness. Of course some of the bosses represent some bad emotions but thats the point if everyone represented a good emotion it would be suspicious. The star is evil and greedy it shows you that their world is worth saving.

The scale and the edge were absolute pain, the suffering was unimaginable, every other else was absolute fun, even The Burst, most people say they hate her but I liked her battle a lot, at least it wasn't BS like The Scale, or needed such perfect imput like The edge And The beat is the easiest to beat, but the most difficult to kill.

My confidence in myself to beat the game on Furi difficultly just went down the drain lol. I'm still gonna get it eventually because I enjoy suffering in hard games lol Kappa. Dead Space 2 on Hardcore was a nightmare

I just came back to the game and beat Furier mode with an S rank I finally got revenge on the star

The final boss is definitely not an optional boss... It's the real finish to the game

You missed The Voice(Rabbit itself). He designed the jail and song locked him in as a guard

I know it's rude to say but, get good. Ps the scale was probably on the top of my list because of the final phase and the only thing i find more agitating is Bernard.

I just beat this game including The Star, oboi tho I want to put The Star as number 1 because of how frustrating this boss was, but the thing with The Star is that everything in the fight is fixed, nothing is random like any of the other bosses so after I played it and died enough times to get it through I beat it. Plus theres a trick in the third phase where you can't get hit on the left side right under the drone, then in phase 4 stand at the top left and shoot both hands for max damage. The hardest phase is the last because that laser always hits me. All and all it was a hard boss, now the boss that really gave me the most trouble (I broke my controller) was The Song, oh my god, I loved this boss to death but man did it take forever. I have about 17 hours on furi right now, easiest 8 hours on The Song, jesus christ, this boss gave me PTSD. Where I was great at parrying, dodging was a bitch. Easiest boss was obviously the last one, I loved The Edge fight a lot, hell i would mash attack and dodge just to have an epic anime battle-esque fight (Only way you should be fighting this boss lol), I wish the fight was longer. Oh and The Flame is a pretty difficult boss.

The star is pretty easy once you know the tricks. On phase 3 there is a safe zone for the entire phase, on phase 4 there is a spot where you can double your damage by hitting both hands while being mostly safe. Never shoot the drones, it’s not worth it. Charge shots are your friend. Final phase is pretty average. Good luck and make sure to parry those pink bullets!

The Beat is meant to be easy tho... just like the bunny man said, The Edge was probably the strongest of them all, but The Beat is just meant to be a desperate last line of defense. The fight is meant to feel like a massacre, a child's play if you will, because that's what it is: The Stranger massacring a girl for a get out of jail card.

First time fighting the star I was like wtf this is impossible but tbh once i figured out the strategy it got easy. It’s not too hard to get to the final phase of the star battle without taking a single hit if you know what to do

God the star was so annoying, but the burst was worse for me. Edge was pretty easy for me since he died so quickly and I’m great at parrying. But edge is actually my favorite boss because I love the close combat parts in Furi.

Personally the burst and edge were easy to me as the burst I beat first try because cheap party trucks are easier to fight than actual skill and the edge is a bit tough but so short it didn’t take too long. Personally the song is the hardest boss in the game for me right above the star

The Burst and The Hand really gave me trouble. The Star and The Edge though I didn't have much trouble with for some reason. I do think the Edge isn't that hard because he is so short.

Bernard is by far the hardest, but I actually found the Song the hardest as I still cannot deal with her patterns Surprisingly, the edge actually gave me the least. I beat him in 1 try.

I dunno, Star was one of the easier bosses. Even Line and Hand gave me A LOT more trouble. Like, first two phases is just shooting charged lasers ignoring drones, 3rd is a free win, since there are spots where no bullets able to touch you, 4th is a bit dodgy in the first half, but you just need to be careful and stuff. And final phase is just very long.

The Strap was so annoying. Funny thing it actually took me 2 months to finish that boss before going onto The Line.......but damn i feel like playing it again....

You should try the DLC bosses

The Song was the hardest fucking boss for me. I sucked at the ranged combat, and I hated that no wind-up electric wave. Bull fucking shit.

I found the Star to not be that bad, I mean it looks intimidating but all of its attacks are slow af. I think I enjoyed fighting the Star more than any other boss in the game.

I hated the burst so I decided to just finish the game on Promenade and do everything else later

you can parry the circle shots that the line throws at you

Furier note I have defeated every boss on every difficulty on PC except star on furier and DLC. 12. The Beat 11. The Chain 10. The strap 9. The Line 8. The scale 7. The hand 6. The song 5. The Burst 4. The Edge 3. The Flame- by watching DLC but that's just visual 2. Bernard just cause to me what is so hard is how long the fight is and how tricky it is but he might be harder then 1.The Star FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUK Made it half way to final stage twice REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

The Edge wasn't that hard as you figured out that you have to watch out for the audio queue instead of the visual queue when blocking. The Scale however was very difficult due to the final phase of course, similar to the Burst. So I would rank the Edge number 5, Scale number 4, Song number 3 and Burst number 2. The DLC bosses are probably 0 and -1.

Sadly on my first playthrough I didnt remember how to charge slash I didnt charge shot and I didnt use L2 also I didnt parry bullets *it took me 9hrs* :( on my second it took three lol
