I'm from Yorkshire too, born 1950, been living in Brazil last 15 years..blows my mind to hear how you imortalized this great song from the 60's.... I take it you have never heard Dusty Springfield's version. That is THE Classic!

I've been listening to this song since the great Barbara Ackland recorded it in the '60's and this is the very best cover I've ever heard. Even better than Swingout Sister's. Congratulations!

Barbara Aiken was the first. You can find it. The original from 1968

One of the better covers of what I consider an iconic track from 1968. A really different but refreshing interpretation at the instrumental break. Well done all the way around!

I just came across this video and I am floored by this AMAZING version of a classic tune. Outstanding musicianship and absolutely incredible vocals. Bravo!!

Swing Out Sister was a cover of the original by Barbara Acklin in the 60's recorded for Brunswick Records in Chicago ... but this version is just as good as that,which indeed speaks realms ... well done

Swing Out Sister? The original was by Barbara Acklin in 1969 then covered by Dusty Springfield the same year. The instrumental version was titled "Soulful Strut" and originally recorded by Young Holt Unlimited and later covered by George Benson- all long before Swing Out Sister recorded their version

Love it! Espectacular, congratulations.

I have liked and listened to this song for many years (Dusty Springfield is one of my all-time favourite singers). Swing Out Sister did a worthy but not as good version. I'm somewhat embarrassed to say that I had never heard of Barbara Acklin or listened to her great, original version until a few weeks ago. Then I discover this. What a tremendous performance. Very enjoyable. I'm not sure now which is the definitive version.

Brazilian Greetings! This song was very successful here in the early 90's! Look, there was an indecision right at the beginning of the singer to the left of the video! But, nothing that would hinder the performance of the set that was perfect! Sax's solo was phenomenal! Ah! I would also marry the youngest singer, in case she wanted to! LOL Saudações Brasileiras! Esta canção fez muito sucesso por aqui no início do anos 90! Olha, rolou uma indecisão bem no início da cantora mais à esquerda do vídeo! Mas, nada que atrapalhasse a performace do conjunto que foi perfeita! O solo do Sax foi fenomenal! Ah! Eu tambem me casaria com a cantora mais nova, caso ela quisesse! Rs
