I love how you pivot if you don’t have the exact colors you need. The project came out beautiful.

Turned out lovely, great background color! If you don’t want the glass in front of it, take a hammer to it or a glass cutter and run a score and tap on it. I bought some cute banks at Dollar tree a few years back and removed the front glass by breaking it out. But glass keeps it from getting dusty too. 😀

Yes, I considered breaking it out but decided for this piece in particular, the front glass really helps make this look like a framed specimen!
Love it, think I would paint veins in. Thanks for idea
Thank you Jamaison, I have a custy wanting a dragonfly. This video help with a couple of blocks I had.. always good to have ideas for other artists…
Love your butterfly!❤

I think that turned out great! Thanks so much for sharing! I don't have a ring saw but I could see my self coming up with a way of nipping that out with my groziers. :)

Yes, I bet you could make that work!

Or, cut each wing separately, then cut a ‘body’ for the middle to join the two wings. Put it on top, over the seam?
As usual, great video. Funny I made the same tool from a straw😎awhile back.
Great idea to use tiles for the bend!

Thanks! I was pretty proud of myself for that one! 😂
For the backing, I use colored paper behind clear...less expensive than colored glass. That way I can still glue glass to glass. And there are lots of scrapbooking papers with cool designs.

Yes, this is what I would normally do too. When the client was here, we both assumed I would build the butterfly right onto the lavender glass. Mid week it occurred to me to take this different approach by gluing a butterfly on. I didn’t want to try to decide on a paper and such so just went easy and still used the colored glass.
Well done Jamaison! You are a pro with that ring saw now, lol! That turned out really nice!

It is always a treat to watch you create. Your butterfly turned out so pretty, she will love it! What kiln did you use? Was that a fiber kiln shelf cut to make the bend? Thank you for sharing.

I have a JenKen Profusion 26. No, those were kiln shelf tiles.
Hey 😊nice butterfly good idea with the tiles just enough to bend the wings and the colors have become so nice. I'll have to try that one day Thank you for sharing Have a nice day😊from Danmark 🇩🇰
NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow!!
Super! Did you tack fuse, contour or full?

The schedules are in the video notes. Most would probably call it a tack fuse.
