Intellectually, I know there's a difference between zones 5 and 7b - 8....but seeing it up close is a bit mind blowing. Jim, you and Erin play off of each other very well. Great camera work, Stephany. You captured Erin's garden beautifully!

I follow both of these knowledgeable gardeners and I had the same thought- that they play off each other so well. These three videos are top content and I hope to see more like them. Agree also about the camera work, and I love that seemingly friendly black bear that always hangs around Erin’s garden too!

Exactly right, michael a.
This was such an enriching and fulfilling video guys! I always watch Erin but this feature was more in-depth and it was great to see her and her garden from the eyes of a seasoned horticulturalist such as yourself Jim. You both have great chemistry. Thanks so much!

I completely agree with your comment!
I really appreciate how Erin's garden is structured and intentional but still so relaxed. It seems like a serious garden that doesn't take itself too seriously, if that makes sense. Fun tour, thanks Erin, Stephany, and Jim!
Watching both people I follow like this is awesome! The new camera work is great and gives a different perspective than I have seen Erin’s garden before
Absolutely stunning garden, Erin. I love the play between silver, pale purple, and bright chartreuse green. The heights magically hop up and down as well. Like music. I love it.

You always do great videos, Jim but this one was superb! Love the different perspective on Erin's garden but the best was seeing an update of the Roy Diblik perennial garden.

Agree completely! I loved seeing Erin’s new Diblik garden in this video, too.
I love Erin’s videos but I am seeing this garden with fresh eyes. I love that Jim is guiding Erin to talk about things she doesn’t often show.
Love!!!! Two of my favorite people. Period!

Loved your visit (step back in a time machine!!) with Erin. You both have an immense amount of knowledge and experience complimented with such a pleasant delivery. Stephany, the icing on the cake was the dog walking towards you in the raised bed garden - I don't know what you did to make that happen - but it was awesome!!!

It was great to tour Erin's garden through someone else's eyes. I've followed Erin at The Impatient Gardener for several years, but I think this is the first time I've seen a tour like this. Thank you!
I love it when my KZread channels collide!
Jim, Thank you for visiting Erin’s garden. I follow Erin’s channel as well. You both have so much knowledge and experience to share with viewers! I love you both!
Fantastic tour, why does a garden look different when someone else films it?, it’s a different perspective I guess. I’m glad you got to visit and Erin deservedly got to show it off. Great conversation.
I am enjoying your garden tours, Jim. It is so interesting to see the variety of plants, landscapes and ideas people incorporate in their gardens. I think gardeners are some of the friendliest people, willing to talk and to share plants.
Fantastic tour! Great camera work Steph. 😍
Loved the tour. Thank you Jim, Erin, and Stephanie!
I’ve been waiting for this one! Erin and I are both 5b, but she’s usually a good two weeks behind me. Zones and microclimates are fascinating, aren’t they? It was great to see her garden from your perspective, and I agree with others who’ve commented: you two have great chemistry. I’d love more collaborations!
Hi Jim, I subscribe to Erin's channel too. I enjoy her garden. She is in my growing zone down here in Illinois. That climbing hydrangea of hers is just out of this world wonderful. TY for the visit up here Jim and Stephanie. Enjoyed this visit a lot
Great collaboration! You and Jim banter off each other and make this tour fun to see!
These videos y’all have done on both of your channels have been such a treat! Both of y’all are so knowledgeable and such great teachers! I already follow both of you so thanks for the fantastic collaboration! It’s been so much fun to watch 😍
I just enjoyed this video so much, I loved how Stephany was able to capture the garden so beautifully Thank you lots of inspiration for sure.

Absolutely gorgeous garden, love seeing Erin and Jim together talk gardening. Love it
I love the underplanting with the evergreens and the idea of a chive hedge.
You guys are the best at making great looking spaces more obtainable. I hope folks are moving past the highly manicured planting of non-native material in favor of more beauty & benefit for nature. Dr A's type theory of design! More enjoyment, less extreme expectations makes for happier people & planet. I strive to be more like dogs, quick to forget slights, loyal to a fault & able to enjoy every day. Wagging helps too, try it! Thanks Jim & Erin, you keep it real.
I like Erin . her style of gardening is very nice and she never try to sell you stuff.
Fantastic!! I could watch the two of you talk plants for hours. Erin, your garden is fabulous and I love the movement and casual vibe but with so much interest! Jim, thank you. Enjoyed this very much! (As a side note, one of the things that I appreciate when watching Jim and Erin's YT channels is that they pronounce the plant names correctly and don't just read plant tags to us plus they have real knowledge. Much appreciated & admired!)
Love the Japanese maple beside the blue spruce. So pretty!!
This is one of my favorite videos. I've never seen Erin's garden look so good. It must be Jim's cameraman!?! I also love the banter of 2 outstanding gardeners! I've learned a lot from you both - both knowledge and inspiration.
What do get when you put two terrific plant people from very different regions and backgrounds? THIS FABULOUS VIDEO!!! I watch Erin all the time but this was so interesting to see from your perspective, Jim. 💚💚💚
This was such fun to see Erin’s garden. The different views were wonderful. You both speak so well and have such great knowledge to share. But one thing you forgot. You didn’t introduce Dorothy and Odin. Love seeing animals in the garden.
What a treat! Love Erin. I especially loved that we got to see an update on the belgian fence in this video; possibly one of my favorite videos on her channel b/c I could totally relate to the anxiety around making those initial cuts, lol. Erin is truly awesome. She and Jim are one of several channels I always have notifications turned on for. If you haven't already, BE SURE TO SUBSCRIBE; she's a wealth of information and I've learned a ton.
One of my favorite gardeners visiting one of my favorite gardens!!!
Really nice garden tour, Erin. Love the poppies and the gardens are filling in nicely. 😊💖🦋🕊
Thanks for a great tour and conversation. Follow both you and Erin. Was so great to have an extended visit to Erin's Garden!!!!!!!
Enjoyed this tour very much. Jim, Erin… thank you guys!
"6-8 weeks back in time" lol, the lilacs just finished blooming here in zone 3. Lol
Watched the tour from my own backyard, so that when you mentioned movement I tuned into the pleasure of seeing it in my own space. Sometimes I fail to appreciate what is right before me, so thank you for that.
Love to see your garden tours and conversations with different gardeners.
This was an excellent one, Jim! Great idea to visit other folks gardens in different zones!
Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam) thank you for sharing the good video. I wish you good health. greetings from vietnam🇻🇳🤗
Awesome! Love Erin introduced me to dahlias!
Loved hearing 2 great gardeners chat! Thanks for taking us along! Just love the poppy's, will be forever grateful for your planting tip Erin!
Those northern climes have such a different look. Perennials and annuals are huge and tender in July with such ultra-long cooler days while ours in 7b are begging to be euthanized in August. I watch this video with interest, but much of it doesn't apply to my zone. My computer screen was like a work of art during this video!
Beautiful garden natural and nature friendly. I love that plants 🪴 are planted closer to each other and they hope shared each other roots too .love ❤️ love. Thank Erin. Thank you Jim putnam and Stephany. For bring it to ow home.

Wow Erin, I hate to admit that I haven't been watching your channel much of late. I have no idea why. But wow, your garden is truly beautiful and gorgeous to behold. Just imagine what you could achieve where I live, simply mind blowing. I'm guessing my winters are a bit like summer in England. I have never even seen snow in my entire life of over 60 years. I've worked out that I garden in the equivalent of a USDA of 9b. A freeze of 0° C Is quite rare. Looking good. Think perhaps I had better up my game on enjoying your KZread videos again x 🥀🐛🍀🌱💚🌲🐸🙏😇🇦🇺🕊️
Found a new channel! The Impatient Gardener, excellent.
Two of my favorite gardeners on KZread. Thank you for the tour. Love Erin's garden.
Fun video, and I enjoy seeing the changes as the season progresses, in both of your gardens.
It was so nice to move around Erin’s garden and get a sense of what grows where. Such a beautiful garden. Thanks for sharing.
Nice tour! I used to garden in zone 5 (Chicago area) and now zone 7....it's a whole new way of gardening
Your Belgian fence is looking so fantastic!! 🥰🌿🌷🌻
I've been watching Erin's videos for a while now and love her down to earth attitude. Kind of like you Jim! I'd like to make a suggestion if I may. I would love to see some small space gardens, urban gardens etc. One of the most beautiful small gardens I've ever seen is on the KZread channel "Ross Lee Gardener." I enjoy small gardens so much because my yard is small and they inspire me. A lot of us don't have the kind of space that Erin has. Anyway, check Ross Lee''s garden out, you won't be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this garden tour and I am a follower of Erin’s channel. She too is a great teacher.
Erin's garden is so special nice to hear the comparison between the two zones.
I also follow Erin! Another informative gardener. LOVE her vegetable garden and her foodscapes! Fun lady too! Thanks for sharing!
That astilbe around the tree is chefs kiss
Ahhh the dog is soooo cute 🥰
Erin your garden is looking absolutely beautiful! The color on this video is fabulous, enjoyed seeing parts of your garden you don’t share. 🌼🐝

A wonderful video!!
What a beautiful property
That was awesome love you guys
I love watching both of y’all videos. Your gardens are so beautiful!! 🌳 🌺 💕
Absolutely beautiful Erin. Very much enjoyed this video lot of plants I don’t see here in my zone of 9b. Thank you for the tour.
I can’t believe I missed this episode when it came out, but what a welcome sight it was to see this visit to Erin’s garden now. I love her garden and to see it from a new videographers viewpoint, made it look like a whole new garden so many things I noticed during this episode that I don’t generally see on her garden tours just because they were shot from different angles. I loved it so much. @theimpatientgardener
Enjoyed this so much. Thanks!
Thank you both. Two of my favorite gardeners together. What a great video.
So beautiful and lush looking. 💚
I miss so much growing in zone 5! Through my adult life have been in more of the south and really miss the very distinct 4 seasons. It just gets to dang hot and let's not talk about humidity.
This is blowing my mind!!!!!
Absolutely gorgeous Erin 🌸💕🌸
A new way to see Erin’s garden! Great video!
Really great video! Interesting to see some of the same plants that we have in zone 7 but developing later. I love all the spruce/conifers. I especially like how she mixed the plants in each bed. Looks so natural. Her garden is gorgeous and colorful and... just lovely 😍
The garden is looking especially beautiful !! Love the new space!
Beautiful garden ,thanks for share.
Two of my very favorite gardeners! Thanks for this video! 🌳🌳🌳
Great video. It was nice to see Erin’s garden through a different perspective.
