Breathtaking Raised Bed Garden FULL of Veg & Flowers (Only 6 Months Old!)
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
On a north-facing mountainside in South Wales, Liz Zorab is creating the garden of her dreams that defies the odds. Using her years of growing experience, her new raised bed kitchen garden is full of food, flowers, and wildlife. I visited her back in the summer to pick up some great tips for any gardener looking to combine colour with crops and create a space for nature. I hope you are inspired by it as much as I am! Huw, you've created another beautiful video, thank you for capturing the feel of my garden so exquisitely. And thank you to your viewers for the kind and encouraging comments. I need to apologise for an error and for misinforming viewers. Earl Grey tea is made using the oil from a Bergamot orange. As I've said so many times - with gardening I learn something new every single day!

Such a beautiful garden and an inspiration. ❤️🌺🌸
Thank you, Huw, for not feeling the need to say anything, but just letting her shine in her garden. You're a humble man.
A long time ago when I was just a boy, I'd often ride my bike, sometimes with a couple of friends, to my grandmother's house. She would inevitably have us doing some garden chores for her under supervision, of course. We'd mow, weed, prune, turn the compost, carry things here and there, whatever Gran would request. We'd be rewarded with (my favourite) a corned beef and salad sandwich, a glass of milk and her legendary Anzac biscuits for lunch. The sandwiches were almost always 'spiced' up with nasturtium leaves. I loved my gran, not just for her warm smiles, hugs, corned beef and sandwiches, Anzac biscuits, but also for instilling a love of gardening.

Loved this gentle film full of peace and colour.
I teared up when you said "it's not just the garden it's my garden" Thank you for this beautiful video.
I absolutely love Liz’s garden and her gardening style. I had no idea her garden was 1) that young, and 2) had so many gorgeous flowers! She looks truly radiant in her garden.. so peaceful, so contented. It’s inspiring to see, so thank you for sharing such a beautiful video.

Beautiful! And such a soothing and inspiring video. Thank you, Huw. Learned so much from Liz in this clip. Off to dry some calendula leaves. It is the only thing growing well in my garden-and I really appreciate it now!
That's precisely how I want my garden to look like!
Loving these short films, way better than gardeners world these days thanks Huw
Hands down this is one of the most beautiful flower/veggie raise garden I have ever seen. So lovely.
What an icon this lady is!
Hi Liz, bronze fennel flowers have a wonderful light & bright anise flavor for salads & fish.
I would follow any advice this gardener shared with me. She seems to be that amazing neighbor who quietly and confidently shares garden wisdom, a recipe or two and extra plant cuttings to friendly neighbors. When was the last time you've seen anyone spend 11:44 minutes whose only focus was on the topic at hand and not a commercial for their own marketing. LOVE her!

Just watching and listening to you in your wonderful garden is so relaxing and visually a feast for the senses! Thank you for your beautiful garden and the very interesting information you provide. Kerry, Perth, Western Australia 🇦🇺 😊
Veggies nourish the body and the flowers gladden the heart. All good.

I love the friendship Huw, between you and Liz. You both inspire this zone6 mini farmer to try new things.
Being February as I'm watching this and everything being dormant, I'm getting so excited for spring to start and my garden to wake up!
I had to pause the video after the first 1.23 to comment. I’ve watched soooo many garden videos lately looking for something and this is it. When you said it feels like my garden, tears in eyes absolutely beautiful. This is how I feel about gardening. I have three beds that we’ve made mostly free with logs, cardboard and compost. We are finally at a place we can expand and this is all I’ve been looking for. The inspiration to make it mine.
She has my heart for flowers! Yaaaay!
This is one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen! I can’t wait til I’m in a house! I need a garden!
Watching that was the perfect antidote to a long day in the office. Liz Zorab and her beautiful property are very calming and inspiring to watch.
I like how she didn't over focus on companion planting! Loved seeing the contrast of colours and varieties of annuals
When we started our homestead the first thing I did is put in the flower garden to bring the life back to the farm that had been commercially farmed for nearly 40 years. It was amazing to see the life come back from a barren monoculture.
WOW! That is just beautiful! So impressive. Wish you were my neighbor! Big hello from Ohio, USA.
A lot of hard work, but oh so rewarding! Being in a beautiful garden makes me so close to God and how wonderful life is!
I could watch her talk about flowers for hours.
OH MY WORD! Liz, I must have missed this on her channel as I haven't been watching lot of garden content lately. DREAM space Liz. This is beautiful!
I love Liz’s garden, her approach to life and gardening, and her kind, gentle nature. It’s also lovely to see Huw and Liz gardening or chatting together (in other videos). Liz and Huw are two of my favourite gardeners. Thanks x 👩🌾🪴🌺🌸

This one teared me up. The way she said 'it's my garden' with such pride. I beamed just watching her. Oh, I never thought of putting flowers in the garden beds. Brilliant. Inspiring. I will be doing my own take on this one. It'll just make the garden even more enticing for the children, especially the edible flower! I think this has been my favourite of the series.
I really enjoy seeing videos like this. You can't beat home grown food picked and eaten fresh. It amazes me how more people aren't interested in growing their own food. I show people my 5 year old food forest and they are always amazed by the taste of the food, but they never consider growing their own!
Not kidding, this is only two weeks old and I've watched this billions of times. She seems like the type of person, I'd love to hang out with and her garden is gorgeous. Plus, the video is so aestheticly pleasing. Thank you for this.
What a gorgeous video. That gardener could do a phenomenal kids' show- she's warm, knowledgeable, calm and soothing. I'd love to see more videos like this! Lovely garden and lovely person.

What a beautiful and colorful garden! I liked her honesty about kale (haha), when she spoke about Agastache, the ducks quacking in the back, so much valuable bits of info in so little time ... this is all so very inspiring.
i'm getting so inspired for my own garden! I love hearing her talk!
A good reminder that pleasure is a valid yield from your garden.
Thank you for not only the beauty of your lovely garden but the botanical benefits and culinary uses and how our interaction with nature is how we have balance and harmony in the earth.

Stunning!!! I love the look of Liz' colourful beds. I must get more flowers into my vege garden.
Your vegetables and flowers garden speaks volumes to fellow gardeners. Much love from Trinidad.
I’ve been watching this video a few times now. It’s my dream garden. Thank you so much for sharing your garden and for this beautiful video it’s just so inspiring.
First!!! 😂 Growing kale for the ducks is a good idea. I'm going to increase my plantings with things I can harvest and give to my hens. I test different things to see if they like it. If they do, I will grow some for them!
Your gardens are beautiful.. you have encouraged me to grow more flowers in my vegetable garden. Thank you
I just love Ms Zorab's garden and her approach! Definitely have to increase my cut flowers for next year!

Thank you for your regular visits with Liz. She's just a gem, and I've loved watching her grow as she grows her gardens. Her gardens are down to earth and beautiful!
Liz's garden is so beautiful and amazing. Thanks for this wonderful heartwarming summertour on a gusty cold foggy day at the Swabian Alb. ☺️👍🏻💚🌱
Aaaaaaahhhhhh....The colors in this garden are so satisfying to my ❤️. It's fall now and there no flowers around anymore. I am drinking in this beauty. My nature loving soul needed this video. Thank you!
Delightful, and what a lovely set of captures! This garden deserves a prize! Congrats to the gardener!
Thank you!! both for the film and the wonderful display of flowers grown in colour clumps for max effect. NB Full sun !! I'm already collecting seeds and plants for new veggie/ flower beds in a sunny open space. My 100% favourite garden is on Vancouver Island and is a haphazard mix of fruit, flowers with veggies close enough to be pollinated. That and this film is just another nudge to get the raised beds ready for the spring. The Moors introduced aromatic herb gardens to Andalusia with chamomile, lily, lavender, lemon, lotus, apple, melon, mint, poppy, moss rose, rosemary and of course orange. Gardens that give pleasure go back a long way!!
Wow, as someone whose first love is growing pollinator-friendly flowers (vegetables are secondary for me, happy if they grow but I'm ecstatic when I see my annuals bloom) this was perfect. What Liz said about growing plants for their scent and the sensory experience really got me thinking. Thanks so much to Liz and Huw for sharing this

I love her garden, so beautiful 💐💐💐, full of love, joy🌺🌼🌻😍
1:20 in and I had to pause. To tell you I’m trying not to cry. I’m planning on having so many flowers in my garden this year that it looks like Eden. If I come a fraction of the way close to your success I will be thrilled. Thank you so much for the encouragement of your own garden. Blessings.
This is a garden after my own heart. We made raised vegetable garden beds and somehow they have been taken over by flowers and each year. I give away dozens of flower plants to make enough room for a few vegetables to live with them. So lovely.❤
im 46... garden on my own since i was 20... and recently... 2019 i have learn more then in those 24 yrs... cutting flowers changed my life...gave me a way to express myself.. its a lonely process for me but i do love it... single mom of twins.. im home.. growing food and beautiful flowers bouquet all summer to offer them ( ok they are a bit fed up of my plants at 16yrs old) just a new gardenning chapter...
Uour gardens are just beautiful!! I was always an herb/veg person but these past two yrs I have slowly increased the flowers for pollinators and the more I have, the more joy I feel they are bringing me! Plan to add even more this next yr! 😊😁😃🌻🐝🌺🌼🦋🏵

What a breathtakingly beautiful video! It was a pleasure visiting Liz this summer and what she's created in such a short time is incredible. Can't wait to see how it develops over the years :) Also, the agastache (Korean mint) is a fab replacement for coriander in dishes. Love a flower with edible uses 💐
What a beautifully shot and edited video. I'm just stunned at how gorgeous Liz's garden is, but also how many times Liz refers to flowers existing there _because she loves them_ which couldn't be a more poignant statement about gardens. Growing, creating and love all spring from the same well.
That garden is magical.

Hi pretty lady. How are you doing today? And how is the family and the weather over there??
"Flowers in my Life" Yes, indeed it is your BEAUTIFUL Garden. Winter has just began here in Washington .I can't wait until early Spring. You have inspired me. Thank you for sharing
Dear Liz, I like kale this way: free the kale leaves from their stems. Put the leaves in boiling water for a minute. Drain and chop the kale. Fry a decent amount of diceg onions in some olive oil, add the kale and stew for 10-15 minutes. Not too soft! Add a spoonful of starch in water and boil again. Now add some salt, kale needs salt. I like my kale with a speciality called "Kasseler", which is lean pickeled and smoked pork. In Germany, we do also have all kind of sausage with the kale, and of course potatoes. It would be great to cook it for you! What a beautiful garden you have. I decided I must have more flowers next year. Sending lots of love, Y
Absolutely beautiful. That opening shot with the sun over the poly tunnel, combined with the music was breathtaking.

Ah Huw and Liz, two of my absolute favourites. A beautiful garden beautifully filmed. 😍 ❤️
I love Liz. I have flowers like her as well for cutflowers as well as for pollinators between the veggies. The old mans at the allotment are not happy bunnies about it since they don`t see it as produce and its messy in there eyes ( no clean shovelled rows of monoculture). Still presisting since it makes me so happy ;-)
Liz is a delight to listen to. Thanks for highlighting her.
Wowww this garden is so beautiful! As someone who lives in the city my whole life, this garden is a dream, and the owners must have pit sooo much love and care into it everyday. So beautiful!

Liz this is simply perfect and the prettiest collection of colours-just what l love and try each year to achieve! Well done and thank you for sharing xx
Lovely video! NOTE: Earl Grey tea uses oil from the rind from the Bergamot orange for its flavor. From sedonaaromatics: "The reason that bee balm is also given the name bergamot is that the aroma reminded the botanist, Dr Nicholas Monardes - whose name was given to the Latin name of the plant, Monarda - of the citrus aroma of bergamot (Citrus bergamia)."
