Fun Day & Overtakes With Kevin

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Experimenting with split screen video.....
Both Bmw R1200GS's riders have Sena 20s Bluetooth comms and Sena Prism cameras. Advancedbiker has Sena Prism on helmet...(Does really work so will move it to top of helmet for 2018).
Highlighted a couple of overtakes or I should say dealing with a moving hazard !

Top man..... I quite enjoyed the split camera view. Cheers for the continued output. Your videos have helped my riding over here.

Split camera view is a nice touch.. neatly illustrates the different view from further back, particular when the lead m/c was behind the lorry (from 3:35)

I enjoyed watching this one Nigel. Could you add some route details in on all your videos please as I find that particularly useful knowing where your riding. Maybe each time you start off/join a different road just add something simple like going from A to B using the A whatever so others can look at the map if they fancy riding that route? I'm guessing that would create more interest and possibly increase your subscribers. Cheers Ade

Like this Nigel ... Good to have both views on screen, as it gives a great overall picture of what is going on.

3:00 last went up there two years ago, and they were still fixing that bridge then!! As for that "nasty right", there's some good roads if you over-ran and went up there. Still not had that cuppa Nigel, think we first mentioned it 4 years ago!

The following distance behind the truck at 3:51 should have been widened in my opinion. Other than that, it looked like a really confident ride.

Didn't you post a video where you had a small dose of target fixation? Somewhere in Europe IIRC. Where did the vid go?

i personally wouldn't like to ride with you being told when to overtake. Why do you call "clear clear" when your perspective is 20 for 30ft further back down the road? If you can actually see then why interfere with someone else and their thought process?

You are right to point this out Paul, this can be dangerous. I was the lead bike and letting Nigel know there was no traffic on my side of the overtake. It is important the following rider makes their own mind up to go or not e.g. traffic may turn out behind the lead rider or the vehicle overtaken may suddenly decide to turn right etc. Nigel is a top class rider and ex-Police motorcycle instructor and will take my observation as input to his own riding plan. I would never do this with a "novice" rider following me.
