I have this combo in my deck with Stuff Doll as well. And Cards like Phytohydra, Spitemare, Boros Reckoner, Coalhauler Swine. It's entire reverse damage deck lol. Things like Goblin Diplomats/Curse of the Nightly Hunt to force combat etc, also Pariah and Pariah shield to remove damage from me lol. Very fun nuking the board deck.

A splashy spell that I love that is kinda niche is primal surge. 10 mana green sorcery which makes you exile permanants from your library and put them right onto the battlefield until you hit a non permanent. I run one in my almost exclusively permanent Selvala Eldrazi, alongside Concordant Crossroads it's super fun.

I have done that aminatous augury play line into an apex devastator multiple times actually in my Jodah deck It’s just as good as you think

Progenitor mimic is actually really good in a niv Mizzet reborn deck, because if you always chose progenitor mimic as the one that doesn’t get sacrificed to the legend rule, you can get that sweet niv mizzet etb EVERY TURN!

Probably the most fun and elaborate use of Colossification I've seen as of yet was someone playing a Red-Green deck focused on goblins who used Conspicuous Snoop with Kiki-Jikis ability to make a bunch of copies of itself, generating mana via Skirk Prospector, then untapping them with Aggravated Assault to clone Brash Taunter 6 times, casting Colossification on an opposing creature and ramming said Taunters into it via their own activated ability one after another to win the game.

Bruna and Gisela are awesome. Gisela is a great flyer with lifelink that can usually survive any combat encounter with first strike.

Best/worst part of fiery emancipation is that it triggers from things like ancient tomb and manacrypt, as it’s any source you control to any player. That coin flip to take 9 on your upkeep is intense lmao.

Absolute favorite episode. 43:30 made a believer out of me. Thanks y’all.

One of my favorite splashy spells is Dismiss Into Dream along with easy-to-use targeted abilities like "tap target creature"

I had a colosification standard deck built around discarding it, and then bringing it back with storm herald. There were many turn three and turn 4 wins

Recently switched to playing fun splashy decks instead of fast combo decks, and its lead to some of the most fun games of magic ive ever played.

As someone with a Bruna, the Fading Light deck, it's a TON of fun! Milling big-ass angels into my yard, and using Bruna to bring them all back always feels GREAT!!

you guys bring up the bricks situation with playing other people's spells. It's so true! I remember re-starting mtg in early 2019 and being all happy about building decks around playing or stealing my opponents' stuff... several games later I was like "aaaagh all my opponents' stuff stiiiiiinks" lol Although I might rebuild gonti and use his ability to repeatedly snipe cards out of people's decks...

Colossification is really cool in my marvyn the nurturer deck, you just tap her to play it and then untap it with one of the 100000 untap spells in the deck and BOOM you have lethal or just 20 extra mana to cast idk the green finaly or genesis wave or something

I have excactly a deck build with Aminatou's Augury in mind with the splashiest spells, it's so so sweet!

Phyrexian Triniform is great in an Osgir deck, I play an artifact reanimator deck with Osgir as commander and it's so good because if you get him out early then it splits up like wurmcoil so it is "resilient" to removal. Then just reanimate and good to go

The deciding factor for Elspeth in my most recent tokens deck was chatterfang/Thalisse. With either on the field elspeth becomes 6 for 6 on turn 1. If they're both on the field and survive to end step, she becomes a 18 for 6 mana.

I've been running apex devastator for a while, in my gargos deck so he's a 6 mana. There has been times where he hit 3 x spells but there has also been times where he hit things like praetors counsel, zendikar resurgent, the Great Henge, or new vorinclex

Colossification becomes way less janky if you pair it with flash. Add something like Vedalken Orrrery to the mix, flash it on your creature in last opponents endstep... have fun! ^^

I need to pick up a fiery emancipation for my zurzoth chaos deck, what with all the 1/1s that die and deal a dmg beam people for 3 instead, not to mention all the dmg doublers and aristocrat* effects in the deck

One of my favorite splashy cards in Commander is Exponential Growth. Love doubling my commander 3 times just because I can

Gisela and Bruna are fun to play in Captain Sisay because you can almost guarantee you get both of them in the same game if you want to.

I cast colossification on Obuun Obuun's ability activates on combat so your land is a huge creature with trample. Definitely the favorite of the ones that I've played

10:34 archon of cruelty may be kinda hard to get out in most decks, but I love the thing to death in my Araumi deck

I think that these long form videos can be brought to the next level by adding some sound foam to the set. Even with great microphones the room tone can get grating.

I think Sorin does deserve a bit more credit (it’s probably my own bias since he’s my favourite, and I run vampires), but he’s usually an OHKO for at least one player when I get him out. Combo’d with things like Repay in Kind, he can quickly end the game with more players too. As a matter of fact, the last game I played I won turn 5 because of setting a player’s life to ten and going lethal.

With colossification if you're playing simic you cast arcanium wings and it has an aura swap ability and it becomes one net less mana than casting classification outrite and you use the aura swap before damage

Apex Devastator is super fun in my Averna Cascade deck, even though I don’t need the lands by that point :)

I love command the dreadhorde as my big splashy spell. If I have the right creatures in my grave and my opponents have a couple cheap creatures, it is lights out!

I just put together a gisela, blade of goldnight deck that runs every damage multiplier i could find and a bunch of tick damage enchantments and artifacts. Fiery emancipation is definitely the best multiplier in the deck, but it’s not creature heavy. The idea is to burn the whole table while multiplying the damage my opponents take and halving the damage I take.

I've been wanting to slot Enter the Infinite into a deck. I didn't really have a deck I could fit it into until Vadrik came out

Angel tribal is actually viable. Those two work really well if you have playsets of each with ramp in a sixty card deck.

I have my friend that only play jank and he reanimate a nyxbloom of someone else with a debthor knell of all things with sisai wetherlight captain up, that went cray cray pretty fast.

One card I personally find really cool is lurking predators. It’s kinda like green mind’s dilation but worse lol

New to edh(only played 1 time) and I convinced myself to make my first deck Oloro lifegain simply because I want to play Rite of Replication on Kokusho or Gary. Super inefficient but it sounds fun.

Selvala's Stampede is probably my favorite splashy spell in my big beater deck.

Nice video! There is on deck i could say star of extiction is good in. Probably wins you the game most of the time in a Toralf, god of fury.

I mean, Titan + Whisper is creature neutral and Titan + Caretaker is creature positive in B color identity if you can get a reanimation loop going and acts as a second War Marshal in a Grixis sack shell, so it's not completely useless. It also interacts with Mikaeus to make certain things hilarious. Footsteps of the Goryo for instance. Orrery has a place. Specifically a place in decks with a Master Transmuter to turn it into ramp on Turns 2-4. Dragonlair goes great in Prossh as a must-answer threat without food chain since Dragonlair + Purphoros/Tremors will kill people. Also, quick correction, Rograkh doesn't quite get there under Colossification.

I have fiery emancipation in my big red deck as well as alot of other cards on your list lol

Fun thing about Progenitor Mimic is that if you manage to make a token and then blink the real one and have it come in as a copy of the token, it will make 2 copies on the next upkeep, since it will be a copy of the token it will have the text on it twice. It is unlikely that you will ever get to do this but it is a thing.

My favorite card is Curse of the Swine. Yes, it’s underpowered. Yes, it takes a lot of mana. But you exile and fill the board with boars. What’s not to love? The mana cost. But still, BOARS!

Casting apex devastator with Imoti on board is the single funniest game ender. You get 4 cascades, which can each then become another cascade if it's over 6 mana. It's nuts.

In terms of "play your opponents cards" commanders in Grixis, we do have Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge, so that's neat. Although, she is limited to instants and sorceries , so a commander in those colours with more range would be really cool

colossification is pretty good if you can get it out with flash, if you have vedalken orrey/ leyline of anticipation or something similar and attack with a 1/1 commander, you can surprise someone by killing them out of nowhere

Shark typhoon goes in non creature decks not just spellslinger. So definitely enchantment and artifact if you wanted

Things that have actually happened with some of my favorite splashy cards: Clone Legion - The copy is targeting you, and the original is targeting me. I will be getting 2 copies of both boards. Soul of Eternity/Serra Avatar - I'll equip Shadowspear to Serra Avatar. Storm Herd - Me: Storm herd. Opp: Reverberate. Me: Yikes, Fumigate (Same turn). Opp: Cryptic Command (counter+tap). Moraug, Fury of Akoum - Good thing I held my land drop, Etali flipped Moraug. Rite of Replication - Opp: Targeting your Verdant Sun's Avatar. Next turn: Regrowth + Targeting your Serra Avatar.

I use collossification in my ghalta commander and run untap cards with rogues passage and suspicious bookcase. If you have that card you need untapped cards.

Here's my honorable mentions for the list that I love putting down against my opponent: Army of the Damned (in Chatterfang), Thrasta (commander itself), Akroma's Memorial (infect), and Ugin Spirit Dragon (Atraxa friends). I love just dumping all my mana out and seeing the reaction around the table "oh no what the hell is that for?" 😂

When I play Apex Devastator it's in Animar and it costs 2-3 mana. Feels so good to play that and cascade into Maelstrom Wander...

Hear me out, this is what i like to do. Use natural order on turn 3, sacing a dork to fetch nyxbloom. So fun

I play all those white angels in the beginning, in my Raff Flash deck with legends theme, so flashing in a 4/3 first striker is pretty nice, and in response to a board wipe cast avacyn. In that case teferi's protection is obviously cheaper and better, but not as fun

Well yeah obviously flashing in Avacyn is as good as it gets.

The only deck I run chromatic orrery in is kykar because it gives me the same opportunities as phyrexian altar if my altar is dealt with.

Im making a Jodah commander and this cards are very good for him

I play several of the cards on this list in my animar deck he practically negates the cost of them. Casting an apex devastator for 5 mana or even 2 in some cases.

Lost a game on my last Commander night to a Yidris deck that resolved Emergent Ultimatum. Their pile was Expropriate, Apex Devastator, and Aminatou's Augury. I told them to put Expropriate back, then proceeded to watch about half of the cards in this video come out of their deck. 😂

I had an archon of cruelty in a deck. Never got to use it. The 1 time it hit the battlefield I was facing my friend in a 1v1 against his merfolk deck. I forget what his cards were that he used. But he got to search my library, steal it, created 5 token copies of it, then gave them double strike. Needless to say, I lost. But I atlesst got to see how effective it was.

The best minds dilation trigger I ever got was playing with some buddies and I got a blightsteel colossus off the top, funny thing is he had removal for it next turn 😂

Archon of Cruelty rules in my Obeka deck, where I can continually bring it out with Santa, or the whip.

Imo grave titan is worth it even if it gets removed fast. I play wilhelt the rotcleaver and I had problems getting enough zombie tokens. 2 tokens for 6 mana + enemy having to cast removal on grave titan instead of wilhelt keeps the commander a bit more safe and there is still the 2 tokens to get buffed or sacrificed for card draw. Its bad grave titan is not a zombie but its tolerable, there are the gisas and geralfs that are not zombies either but they fit in a tribal deck too.

I had a mormir vig deck that ran progentetor mimic copying master biomancer

When they talk about the trap door spider, beezy is thinking of an ant lion

Villainous Wealth is one of my favorites

Archon of Cruelty may have been given a D but they are A+ in D class I love Etali, the only Elder Dinosaur that knows good pasta Apex Devastator: So I heard you like Cascade... Can't you cheat the Encore cost with that new Lord of Forsaken? Dragonlair Spider makes me sad because the tokens aren't Reach Spider Tokens I love using Vitalizing Wind in my Elf Ball deck, that instant +7/+7 to all my creatures is game winning...just costs like 9cmc but it's Elves ;P

Colossification works so great in my Tahngarth deck. He gets tapped, (which turns him on), make a deal or goad an opponent to attack, and he gets to kill the 3rd player at the table. 🤣🤣🤣

Grave Titan is in my zombie deck. Great reanimater target.

Bruna is my mono white commander. Its honestly better than it looks. Makes a very good control shell with reanimation, its a deck that just doesn't die. Its also STUPIDLY easy to meld. Like, nowhere near as hard as it seems.
