Very clever! I recently built my own version of Adam Savages rolling tool cart to get more organized in my workshop, and this strikes me as the video kit version of that same project. I may have to do something similar for my own talking head shots. That may be my side project this week.

First of all, this is an amazing vid and exactly (kind of, almost) what I was needing in my life. While I don't create vids to make money (seems like that's what a lot of these youtube-how-tos are geared toward), I do create them to see my progress with my guitar playing, and now, as a teacher during the COVID closure, create read-alouds and various short vids for my students. I just purchased a CannonM50 and, per your advice, returned my RODE and got a Deity mic. I had been using my laptop and a snowball for years. Time to move up to the next level. I'm so glad I stumbled upon your youtube channel. Appreciate your tips, presentation, and QUICK AND EASY way of explaining things. (Last night I watched a 40-minute video with so many visuals, my eyes were crossing.) You mentioned at the end of this vid to ask you questions for possible new features on your channel. I would love to see something a little more low-key, not so much beginner - but ready-for-that-next-level, and more geared toward recording instruments, like playing guitar, singing, etc. - and just for FUN. Not to make a buck. =-) Thanks!

I built this thanks to your video over a year ago, and it’s been SO helpful. One note- I use a Canon C200, pretty heavy, and thought I’d use a more expensive head, but the cam weight pulls the smart clamp arm down, so the cam is not level in that direction. Ball head is the way to go.
