@@sourspike5177 I know what you mean, I play bedrock too. I think the coolest ones are just less common? I haven’t found one in my world, but I’ve seen an absolutely stunning cavern with a lake and pillars in someone’s bedrock survival series so it’s definitely possible

By raw iron and raw gold once you have a gold farm (and maybe by some raw copper (all if you make a drowned copper farm)), don't smelt up the ores. Instead, use them for raw iron/gold blocks, which look really good.

Hey wattles your mob head plug-in works like this: The rarer a mob, the more likely it is to drop its head. That’s why it took you so long to get a cow head. Cows are common mobs, so the head is less likely to drop. I’m pretty sure bosses at least like the wither and elder guardians have a 100% drop rate, or at least very close to it.

I enjoy the caving episodes every time. The enthusiasm and editing really set the bar.

Pretty sure that "weird room" in the mineshaft is the origin room. They changed it from 1.18 to no longer generate with dirt floors

Cubfan made a video with his ideas of what they could have done with it instead of just getting rid of it. I wish Mojang would have done one of his ideas or just SOMETHING with it instead of just doing that room dirty like this lol

Since caverns and caves are so large in 1.18 night vision potions are incredibly helpful. It allows you to see all the ore up into the walls and ceilings without having torches on he roof.

At 12:21 when you mentioned diamonds being behinds the gravel- I don't know if there's anything to it, but I found half a stack of diamonds in a lush cave behind the clay. I just wanted some bricks, but it was an awesome surprise!

Tip: when in the caves use 3 torches to make an arrow to where you came from Also you can make the raw ores into blocks to free up inventory space

Yeah also you can get a block of said mineral if you smelt it , lesser smelting time if i am correct

Hey wattles I had an idea, since you have a silk touch pick I think it would be cool if you put like sort of ice tendrils like wrapping around the bottom of the boat, sort of holding it up to make it look supported? Like I just had this idea of like the boat getting trapped in the ice a long time ago, and over time the mountain grew and puller the boat upwards or something along with simply looking cool. Not that I'm a builder or anything, just an idea.

I also had a similar idea where he built a much larger boat but the boat was stuck in the ice so some parts of it are not accessible to the player ( you can mine out the ice to make everything accessible but eh not really aesthetically pleasing). I got the idea from the Viking ship stuck in the mountain in season 7 chapter 1 of fortnite (played fortnite during its best times , not really good righ now)

Wattles, I think you forgot that mobs even from spawners need complete darkness to spawn and so ur spider farm rates are also low for that reason.

These are too good, I need either a double length episode or twice as many every week! Keep up the fun series and happy new year!

Caving is by far my favorite thing to do in Minecraft. I'd love to see more caving episodes!

Deepslate emerald is so difficult to find since emeralds are most common in the high mountains

@@megayei Deepslate emerald and normal emerald ore are more common since the 1.18 update. Deepslate coal ore is rare because coal cannot generate below y level 0.

16:47 is the funniest sound wattles has ever made

Pov: It is new years eve, you have to work in the morning, you've just completed all the max level enchantments on your diamond armor and tools, and want to do a quick little branch mining down in your deepslate cavern before you go to bed. You're staying a good five or six blocks away from the wall to avoid lava, which shouldn't be too dangerous with your lvl four fire protection charms, but better safe than sorry. You suffer a lag spike, and suddenly you're right by the wall, and being hit by what looks like gravel or sand damage, only there is no gravel or sand. The damage continues for a full thirty seconds before you die, then you continue to take a few hits after reviving in bed. You rush down to your mine, find the spot well within five minutes but everything is gone, your loyalty trident that you just farmed, your brand new diamond sword that you just made earlier, your silktouch and fortune diamond picks and shovel, and everything else you were carrying is just gone. No lava, no gravel, no sand. You load back a save, where at least you have all your diamonds back or they are at least back in the ground but you lose a full twenty four hours worth of enchantment grinding, running back and forth from your xp farm and enchanting table, the time spent getting the right librarian with the right books. You mine to the exact spot where you died, you mine a thousand blocks past it, you mine all around it. Nothing. It was just lag that came along and wiped out all of your efforts. It was 12am, now it's 2am, and you're absolutely furious and wide awake. And sometimes you just really, really hate this game.

@@mr.ohblaidzzroth6299 It's all cool. I'm building back bigger and better, got really lucky with some enchantments so I'll be right back where I was in a day or two of grinding. I was actually running up to my village telling the game it better have some good enchantments to make up for the way it had treated me, and it seemingly heard my plea, either that or rnjesus finally answered my prayers. This game can sure be a fickle mistress. Still,, that's far less of a problem then losing years of effort to data corruption. I recently lost a seed to data corruption and I had only been playing it for about a week and I was absolutely devastated. Losing a world that you've spent literal years in, my God, man, you have my sincere condolences.

the caves are soooooo good. they've done an excellent job of incetivizing caving over strip mining, and it's been such a nice change of pace for me.

Happy new year everyone. I've found while downlow in the caves dig out all the tuff, I've found diamonds quite often this way. The block breaks fairly easily too.

Cant wait for you to find a lush cave they're amazing I'm sure this seed has some cavernous depths!

I just want you to know you gave me the courage at the beginning of the new year to be able to clear the mineshaft i found near my base on my hard mode college vanilla survival server. I've never played on an unmodded vanilla smp so I was very proud of myself that I was inspired and excited to go into the mineshaft and at least light it up so i can clear the ores out of it. I'm excited to get to explore it more now that I have the confidence to do so with very little armor and not be afraid of things coming at me cuz i can unalive them real nice. :)

Just yesterday I found a cave very similar to this one, however completely dry, with the bottom around -50ish, about to explore it tonight :D Your vids have been a huge help for me as a beginning player, looking into implementing some of your farms soon! :D

Use magma blocks to light up the cave/ mark where u have been

Ok but like something you need to try the next time you go cave exploring is gonna change everything. A simple tip to always know where you are and how to get out. Put the torches on the right side of the wall or path on your way in and follow them on your left on the way out. After doing this I stopped having to dig my way out of caves. Hope this helps.

Doors are probably great for mining stuff underwater, but for strictly breathing I just make sure to spam a stack of torches on the block next to my head. It’ll create that brief air pocket and can refill you

I have been mining for many stacks of deepslate for a big mansion for villagers to live in, and the benefit I got off of it was finding a lot of diamond ore. I used fortune III on all of it of course and I have almost 10 stacks of diamond now.

Best way to mine in the deeper world is gopher holes starting at level -58. I found almost 3 stacks of diamonds in maybe 6 rows at 100 blocks long and I think fortune 2 on my pickaxe. I know its not worth an episode but great way to go about it. I havnt needed to look for more in like 2 weeks now. Also piston and buttons instead of breaking the lectures will make finding a cheap mending WAY faster.

May I suggest a new strategy? When caving or mining, place the torch in one side like the right so when you go out, you can follow the left torches to go out. Another thing, put on leather boots, and then you won't sink into the snow.
