I just don’t get the hype around the watches that your review piece homages, I fully agree with Jody over @ JOMW in his recent “watches I would never buy” vid!. Not for me, i’m oot!!! Appreciate the impartial considered review John 👍

You are spot on about the "own goal" wrt these watches 😂. Nice enough for what it is, if it was 80% cheaper so it matched the other AliX versions I think! Review also needs cat in background 🐈😁

This is the Rm homage that I found interesting, but I agree its more suited for the youth.

Mate, I don't despise the Miyota 8 series movement, mind you. However, when you turned this beast of a watch around and showed us the movement, all I could think was: all fur coat and nae knickers!! 😂

It is something . Experienced this type of style on the Ciga Design originally. So tactile. I will not ask about the wife lol 😆

I picked up a very cheap RM a like for around the price of 3 or 4 pints. I never got the RM thing, that said it has seen a lot more wear than I ever imagined it would. I couldn’t see myself paying 10 times what I did for the same experience albeit mines a quartz

I think WishDoIt will get the message. I reviewed it out of curiosity. It will fill a need and scratch an itch for some bit not me either :)

The Tsar Bomba version of this style watch has sapphire.

When you think of the outrageous prices of a Richard Mille, it makes no sense for the average person to burn their hard earned funds on a time piece. If you love these crazy designs, then get a homage. I recommend they build the back of the movement in black instead of silver metal color to camouflage the movement in the case. better yet would be to print under the glass something that would cover it up. Well done.

Hi Jason. A very good statement. I am no salesman. Just bringing you watches to look at as I review them. I enjoyed reviewing it. It wore very comfortably but it's not for me either but there will be others who have to have it. ;)

Thanks for the great review as always. I have no problem with insanely expensive watches, but Richard Mille has always turned me off. If I were a Billionaire, there are other watches such as an exclusive AP or Patek I would get before a RM. That mineral glass is almost unacceptable for an Ali watch of this price. But then again, I don’t know what production costs for a custom sapphire piece is.

Thanks Albert. I wanted to see it to evaluate and knew pretty much no- one would really appreciate it but at least I know now what it was like to wear. As a reviewer it is important to do that. Thanks for your input. Hopefully WishDoIt will see the comments and lack of views. :)

A good fair review 👍 . This is not for me. I wouldn't buy a RM if I had the money, it is an ugly, bulky watch for show offs. Your criticisms are spot on as usual.

As an guy on the wrong side of 60 (just) this isnae for me. I’ve a 7.5 inch wrist but his is just too bulky. It’s also too illegible. I’d have to put my specs on to read the time in low light conditions. 😂
