Eddie’s lift will be exceeded one day, but it hardly matters. To jump almost 40kg from his own existing record and become the first half-tonne deadlifter in history... no one can ever take that from The Beast.

Ashley Garvin It is 100% the most insane leap of development I can think of in any sport. Which other long-established sport (competitive weightlifting is literally as old as humans) has ever taken an individual shove forward like that from anyone? Sergei Bubka in the pole vault, maybe, but he did it increments, not one huge superhydrated leap.

Thank you very much
After listening to interviews of Eddie after the 500k lift, I can't help but feel for him in his slurred speech. If anyone doesn't know, at that moment his brain was bleeding, and he blacked out twice after the lift and once more after the speech. His blood pressure was through the roof and he was going blind in these moments. The fact he managed to make that speech and still remain with that classic Eddie Hall "fuck off dad" humor is quite astonishing. He's a real trooper if I've ever seen one!

It had lot of help to get their, and also mind control so he was able to flick something in his brain and said lets get out their when he did. He was looking at the judge with aggression then needed a moment of silents then when pulled the bar closed his eye and a blank mind. Lifted it with eyes open up because so much force brought down on him it change the color of his eyes It's one crazy experience and that's a trooper

Thanks Jay for all the years.
